Hey thx man! This video really helped me cause I’m getting my r3 wheel today 🔥
Got mine about a week now. Brilliant fun. Major upgrade coming from a g920. Still learning how to set up for different games.
FYI if you change to another wheel rim than the one in the box you will be giving up Xbox support as the compatibility for Xbox wheels comes from a security chip in wheel rim and not the wheel base, this does in fact mean if later on down the road you want to get upgrade to the R5 or R9 wheel base from MOZA then you can use the Xbox Wheel rim from the R3 no issues on the stronger wheel bases to get Xbox support.
Ya can alway buy the moza upgrade 12in round wheel made for es hub or the formula wheel upgrade for the es hub. So you still have 2 extra wheel options
USB B is far stronger port than USB C and is more commonly used in industrial/office equipment because of its durability, I would take USB B over USB C any day on devices that have the space for it and are not mobile devices like phones/tables/laptops.
Ben, I love your tech content, but your educational content on skillshare is just too damn good. It's really amazing, you should open an educational channel here because you'd absolutely hit the jackpot. I think its your strongest type of content.
nice video man.. just got mine.. it is the easiest wheel to drift on xbox.. the preset ‘drift’ setting is a game changer.. the only complain i got is it not support the shifter yet on xbox in almost all the game i play..
I play on Xbox with a Logitech G920.. and I want to upgrade to a better steering wheel.. I'm in doubt between Moza R3 and Thrustmaster TS-XW.. which is the best choice?
I want one for truck simulator
Does not work on ACC or the last 2 f1 games which is absolutely insane. Basically the 2 most popular games to be used with a wheel like this on xbox.
I have read on google it does
you say cheapest and it's $400 usd thats like 530$ CAD for me😭
Still cheaper than other direct drive wheels that also have console support.
@@arranmc182 I didn't know the other ones didn't allow console😅
In NZ dollars it is around 900
Just get a pxn v99 or pxn v10
@@Playboi_Kelvlol pxn is pure junk
bro the logitech g923 is gear driven not belt driven! 10:14.
he said it isnt, you can even check the cc
@@ttv.itsxgrey_lol6211 whoops
Can you play ACC on this?
5:34 Why is the wheel clunking like a g29? its a direct drive wheel not a belt?
FFB settings make the jagged motion. The noise is only with belt type (source: I have the r3).
as you can see he is driving on a dirt road which is bumpy and one of the main selling points of dd wheels is that they give you better fidelity in bumps on the road curbs etc
Yes Fanatec maby expensive but at least it supports almost all the games. If you are a sim racer on console then you play ACC and F1 and the R3 does not support these titles, why did you not try them?? Not a thorough review
One, the R3 bundle does lol, just look at their website and yes for console. Two, just because he didnt try out a simulator doesnt mean its not a thorough review. Research your statement and understand that he has to make a lot of main points rather than minor things like that.
@ttv.itsxgrey_lol6211 don't be a smart ass look at the website again you are the blind bat. With f1 24 newest update on Monday it will add support. Look at when I made the comment and still standing by it.
Also it's not the wheel base that supports Xbox it's the steering wheel it's self
So if you have an r5 or r9 and put the rs xbox wheel on that it will work on xbox
hi
Cool
Nice
i don’t have one xbox gift me one then i will get to know how it feels to have one and to be honest i recently started to watch video of yours
Its a direkt drive
dam 7 views 59 seconds bro fell off
1 own like in 3 hours. Bro fell off, oh! You weren't famous anyway.
Probably because at 5:29 he calls it belt/gear driven! Meanwhile it’s a DD wheelbase
Total exaggeration about fanatec prices dude. $200 for a power supply? More like $30 from ebay💪. That r3 is garbage.
why do you say an r3 is garbage when it has everything you need for a cheap entry level dd sim
@@ttv.itsxgrey_lol6211 R3 ? For $400 is garbage 3 nm is total garbage for sim racing. This product only exits to sell garbage to make money. It’s bad for the consumer. It’s overpriced af.
lol you have no clue what you’re even talking about. At 5:29 you say it’s belt driven/gear driven that’s why it makes that noise! It’s a direct drive wheel base 🤣🤣🤣🤣 great companies send free gear to review channels that don’t even know what they are talking about or even know what they are using! They see you high sub count and just send shit 😂😂😂
I actually say "that's because it isn't belt driven" then proceed to explain why common belt driven wheels make more noises vs direct drive. It maybe wasn't clear on your speakers or headphones. The Automated CC Captions even show that's what I say.
bro is onto to nothing
