Following this release, Kodak revealed his studio album ‘Dying to Live’, which debuted #1 on the Billboard 200. The album featured the hits “Testimony” and “Zeze (feat. Travis Scott & Offset)”, which earned #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Billboard 200 charts.
He has also collaborated with major artists such as Gucci Mane and Bruno Mars on “Wake Up In The Sky” and XXXTentacion on “Roll In Peace”, both of which have also gained platinum certifications.

My favorite rapper of my generation. I remember before 2016 I was always searching for that one rapper that would speak too me in a way I could relate. I got released from juvenile boot camp in Little Rock Arkansas “CSTP” on Dec 17 2015 and Turned 18 the 13th the same month. Didn’t hear about Kodak until early 2016, “about 2 or 3 months later”. No Flocking was on replay 24/7. That’s the first song I heard from him. Then when he was going back in forth in jail from running from the cops I thought it was insane because I was robbing and jacking and commercial burg. Ect. I didn’t give a fuck. Dad was in prison and I was by my lonesome at my grandmas house. All my niggas was going wild all of 2016. When he went too jail in early 2016 and released lil big pac and I heard the song “Already” I literally fell out my seat when I heard him say” you can keep the Farrari I’d rather have a Chevy” I felt like I was in a movie with him. I was on dumb shit. Triple c’s, alcohol, hrydros, zanz, and more some. Then he got out right before Chrismas the same year, I was waiting so long for him too be released. My struggle dropped and he said” I know y’all been waiting on this shit to drop”. He literally was speaking egazacly what I was wishing him too say. Then painting pictures, “Day for Day”, when I heard that song it made me cry🤫, then the documentary that was released with the album on UA-cam... when he said” I feel like you in this movie with me right now”. I knew I would be attached too him for life. He is hands down the only rapper I’ve ever connected with like that. I literally love him and I’ve never even seen him in person😂.
