Enjoyed the video, and it's great you got success with one of the buds, good luck for the others too, I think I will reapply more pollen next time when I try this out again 😄 that red flower being put onto the spegazzinii was funny, well it's one way to make a cactus look like it's in bloom 🤣🤭👍
Such an interesting way to pollinate flowers. I must say I haven’t had that problem of flowers not opening here because the sun and heat is always intense here. My problem is not having my flowers stay open long enough because they wilt fast due to heat. Lol! But it is good to know what to do if I experience this. 👍🏼
Awesome video, Kath. Nice demonstration on this pollination technique. Gymno flowers can be tricky to pollinate but I’ve seen other videos of this method and it’s very successful. Not tried it myself yet but will definitely give it a go on any Gymno flowers that don’t open fully.
