Thanks for making this! I missed my 30th birthday party due to COVID, so I'm considering doing a 31st and having it an immersive "(goodbye) 20's" party!

@@thestorytellerscottage We had the party last night and everyone had a blast. I decked out the garden in 1920's decor had a buffet and served drinks from the era, all the guest dressed up and really got into character one of the couples was stopped by a neighbor down the street who asked if she could take a picture and said she'd love to host something similar.
It was a nice escape from our current reality. Can't wait to have another one in the Summer, I'm thinking 70's or 80's? Which do you think would be more fun? Thanks for replying, love all your videos you have great taste and class!

@@warrioroflight3813 That sounds like a fantastic party! I love that you had it outdoors. The garden must have looked so beautiful all lit up, and I'll bet those guests who were asked for their photos felt like celebrities :) Tough choice between 70's and 80's parties -- I'd have to go with 80's, since that music is all I ever listen to while driving! I can definitely picture a lot of fluorescent-clad dancers having a blast to Adam Ant and Wham. And thanks so much for your kind words!

Also flowers: calla lilies are especially art deco.

Love calla lillies! Michael's craft stores (and similar stores) have beautiful artificial calla lillies that look real, in all different colors.

@@thestorytellerscottage White oriental lilies remind me of the period too for some reason. I think its because both flowers are featured in Tamara de Lampicka paintings.

one note: silver was just as popular than gold and may be a little easier.

@@thestorytellerscottage especially for flatware, because personally Ive had an impossible time finding gilt flatware in the past that isnt baroque style. Theres rarely anything modern or deco looking in gold flatware.
