I love how Dimash is so in character singing beside Lara even though he is a total fan boy. I saw a rehearsal video of this performance and boy he was nervous and flushed and in awe of Lara.

That’s what’s beautiful about Dimash’s voice when he sings with another singer, is that he coordinates his voice capabilities to the other singer. WOW WOW WOW

Yes, he has done that with so many other singers as well. He is the perfect partner to sing with.
Interesting as I watched another reactor to one of his solo songs (sorry, don't recall what reactor/song, I watch hundreds!) pointed out that one thing that makes Dimash special was his matching his vibrato with the vibrato from the violin players in that song.
If you watch past videos of Lara singing with other artists, she does the same! Perhaps it is Lara adjusting to Dimash's singing and not the other way around....
I believe that this event was the first time that Dimash and Lara Fabian met and performed together. Lara was sick and I love the way Dimash embraced and supported Lara with his eyes.
If I recall correctly, Lara was very sick at this time and had to cancel some of her performances after this. She sounded wonderful! They all did!
Lara Fabian wrote the song "Your Love", just for Dimash. he has kind of idolized her even as a kid, it's nice seeing them sing together. it would have been pretty cool to Tandem the song "Ulisse" with this one, where Dimash sings with Aida only. I think the only problem I'm going to have with you Elizabeth, is once a week is just not enough girl :-) but we'll take what we can get, you're awesome..
Dimash has many idols but the fun thing here is when Dimash was not so well know during the Chinese tvshow "I am a singer" 2017 he did one of her songs and when Lare first heard it she also was a Dimash fan.

Lara: very pop ballad type of voice.
Dimash: operatic and pop voice, he can do whatever. He is there to help lara and Aida blend voices together since he can do both. He is strictly trained for opera for over 20 years.

I first listened to this song and I fell in love instantly then I got to listen Ulisse... I couldn`t believe it could get better. Aida was shockingly amazing and Dimash sounds impecable. Thanks a lot Elizabeth for this great analysis and lesson!

"Autumn Strong" or also called "Late Autumn" from The Singer competition will probably not get the most suggestions, but for me it showcases Dimash's tender and emotional side and the ending is soooo achingly beautiful. It is also the first time that he prepared a song in Mandarin during the competition and he nailed it. Also he won best song of the year in China for it.

The Charismatic Voice You’re welcome! I can add one more since it is also unusual. In January 2020, Dimash sang “Jasmine” for the .new .year celebrations with a vocaloid Luo Tianyi It might be interesting to compare this duet with the one he did with Wu Tong (2018) and he also sang the same song solo (2019). It is apparently a very great honour to be invited to sing “Jasmine” and special permission is needed. To be invited to sing it 3 years in a row shows how highly he is thought of in China.
Just so you know, Dimash was named singer of the Year 2019 in Russia, and the song he sang "Know" was song of the year..

Loved this, Dimash all in awe of Laura but holding it together, no one tried to out do the other, they all blended well in their registers. But Igor eyebrow lift at the end to the conductor, as the conductor is looking at him saying "Christ, how long do they hold the last note" 😂 Wonderful song, wonderful performance.

THIS^ is something I desperately want the classical community to understand. I come from a long line of classical training and performing, and was frustrated by how small the reach of many opera houses currently is. That's why I started making music and education for new media, and now do tons of recording projects. I think the classical world desperately needs artists like these to help breakdown boundaries, and rejuvenate love for opera.

I’m a viewer and subscriber!!! I listened to your singing and I am flabbergasted 😲. You are amazing Elizabeth. I see it....Dimash and Elizebeth singing....well we can dream cant we? I think the next Dimash should be “Your Love” since I don’t know what you’ve listened to already. But Sinful Passion should also be high on the list as well, along with “Unforgettable day” from Gaku concert where he hits a note that’s not even on the piano. 🤪

I would love to see your reaction to his duet with Aida 'Ulisse' he really goes through his range in that one. Aida is awesome too, beauty and power from both of them. I first saw this as a series of fan cams from opposite sides of the arena, which really shows their chemistry in this performance. The ice skaters, who no doubt are excellent, are a little distracting in the 'board mix' version but it is still excellent.
The performance of 'Passione' is different because the interpretation of the ice dancers adds real drama. This piece was specifically written for Dimash's voice by Igor Krutoy - long may they collaborate. It is in more of a 'crossover' style but nonetheless remarkable.
Another composition from the same concert that Igor rewrote for Dimash is 'Know' (previously performed as 'Ascolte la Voce' by Lara Fabian) It really shows off Dimash's range (as usual) but demonstrates his vocal agility, breath control and that feeling that he's 'just making it up on the spot' when you know in fact he will have practiced for hours.
There are so many performances that I know many fans will request;
Love is Like a Dream from the Kremlin,
Sinful Passion from Sochi,
S.O.S. From Slavic Bazaar,
Daybreak from Arnau...
The list goes on and on.
A little side note, I'm sure there will be a lot of requests for reactions to performances from the Singer 2017, which by the way is where I first heard him perform, but do be aware the channel is quite quick to hand out copyright strikes particularly if there is a series available. There are some remarkable performances from the then 22 year old some of which still remain favourites.

Yes! Dimash does seem to be on a similar singing career path that Andrea Bochelli took. Singing all styles with expertise just like Bochelli.
I absolutely love this performance. Their voices blend so perfectly, in both the duets and as a trio. Thrilling! Especially since Lara was sick, at least at the rehearsal. Greetings from Florida.
You are very pleased to listen. For me personally, this performance is full of symbolism. It has already been noted how the singers are dressed. Aida, the brightest representative of the opera scene, all in white and with a bright microphone. Lara, famous for pop music, all in black and with a black microphone. And between them is the black and white Dimash, who does not just unite these areas of vocal art. It carries a simple thought: it doesn’t matter what technique you use to get a sound - only MUSIC is important. And the skaters echo him: dance is also music.

@@TheCharismaticVoice i believe you are correct: this was originally with Lara Fabian in the same "other woman" part. I believe. I know she had many performances with it and has been a long-time collaborator/co-writer with Kurtoy.

I think you would love her Je Suis Malade from the same live From Lara with Love concert. (Subtitled version available - the lyrics are absolute gut-wrenching poetry.) She also has AMAZING performances of Caruso and other Italian songs. She's fluent in French (her dad), English, Italian (her mom) and Spanish.

FYI, Aida is a Russian soprano that is currently a member of the Vienna State Opera. In addition to Russian, she speaks German and English fluently, (and possibly other languages, but those are the two I've heard her speaking). She has an Opera music video on her channel.
Aida speaks a Tatar language too, her mother tounge...if Dimash speaks in Kazakh and Aida in Tatar they understand each other without any problems...
