I am currently in my first semester of RT school! I am very excited and just followed your channel! Help us RT students out - what was a study method you used that really worked for you?! It is very intimidating thinking that everything we learn we will have to remember.
Hi! Congrats on starting the program! I'll definitely try to create a video directed towards RT students and any advice I could give. But, in the meantime, I was such a note taker and reader! I would read the chapters and summarize those chapters in my notes. I also used UA-cam to watch any videos related to respiratory topics. But, most of the knowledge that really stuck with me when I started working was during clinicals. I was really lucky to have great preceptors. Be sure to be willing to jump in and participate during clinicals and ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS! Hope that helps and best of luck!
Hi! I'm a new travel RT and I am really enjoying your videos in regards to the information needed for travelers. What is that that you spray on your pillows in the hotel?? I am all about disinfecting everything!
Hi! If you stay at a contract for a certain amount of time (basically a year) it disqualifies your from your tax free reimbursements. Because you will start to be considered a resident versus a traveler. When I worked in Santa Barbara I met a ton of travelers that extended their contracts as long as they could before that hapenned because it was such an amazing place to have a contract! Hope this helps!
@@RachelDellee ok. So I spoke to my travel agency and they told me that that wouldn't happen. That I would still get my reimbursement. Why would you be considered a resident? And who would consider that? The federal government?
@@ninajohnson2921 if you stay at an assignment for a certain amount of time your tax-home status changes. If your tax home status changes I think you have to pay taxes on tax free reimbursements. I’ve worked for multiple agencies and they state the same thing. I’ve never extended an assignment so I can’t say I’ve experienced it. Ive spoken with a few travelers regarding that issue. But, maybe your recruiter has more info!
Yes, I practically only get the COVID units as a traveler. Most of my assignments are for Covid crisis assignments so I am pretty used to those patients. 🤗
I’ve worked with AYA, AMN, currently with ProTouch. Previously with Krucial staffing, but don’t think they’re doing any deployments at this time. All good agencies!
@@Littleshizzle216 this is the first assignment that I’ve used my agency’s insurance and so far, no complaints! It definitely differs from agency to agency.
I just got accepted into my RT program! I’m so excited!
congrats! such a great time to get into respiratory, best of luck! =)
Me too! I start in August! Good luck to us! ☺️

Hi! Awesome! I hope you love traveling! It’s this tide antibacterial fabric spray. It’s been helpful staying at hotels and the smell is lovely 😊
@@RachelDellee I hope I like it too🤞 Ok, thank you so much!
you should invest in like a wagon!! it would benefit you! like one from target that folds up!

Do you care for a lot of covid patients and have you ever caught covid 19 while traveling as an RT? Love your videos! Very insightful and inspiring :)
