Budget 2024 - Labour Leader Chris Hipkins speech on The Budget of Broken Promises

- Опубліковано 29 тра 2024
- New Zealanders were promised cost of living help, tax cuts, less inflation, better healthcare and money to the frontlines of the workforce.
Instead we see the return of smoking, more gambling, no new cancer drugs, and no new initiatives for Māori. This is a budget of broken promises.
Shame on you Labour, we're are you in 6 years nothing..
Im not listening to someone who does not know what a woman is
if that's your biggest concern other than what he just explained then you need a reality check
@BeautyPinkston100 That's awesome as long as you don't change your mind and identity as a tree tomorrow.
That Labour Party should be all Jailed
For what? Being consistently better with the economy than National?
@@JamesFaction
They were stupid buying stuff and holding people accountable
Love the tax cuts .who give gangs 3 million Labour I don't know any country in the world who well give gangs money but Labour has
not even tax cuts. Just tax bracket changes. And increased inflation that more than cancels out the pittance you get from the "tax cuts". Tax cuts are inflationary. Far more than minimum wage increases are.
I think you need to take the blinkers off and study economics.
Mr Hipkins should write a bookon how to ruin a Country
Chris Hipkins is an expert about kicking the can down the line!
Im still broke on my pay day 😒
The public of new zealand ccant stomage the thorght education is as inportant as a balanced tax system, it cant stand up to banks, it is stupid about money on all levels.
Here after Luxons roast of hipkins hahah
Borrowing to pay for the Labour government fuck ups. Lol
No, they are borrowing to pay for 3billion in tax cuts for landlords and a pittance of tax cuts for the rest of us. They're borrowing to pay for this. Even after slashing the public sector frontline staff and failing to fund cancer meds and mental health. 6 months in and so many broken promises by National
Labor gave all to mari and made Nga Tahu very rich
Smoking has always and should always be a humans right, don't try and take more rights away from kiwis. The tax is far more than enough to cover any health implications from smoking. By the way, vaping is far worse for your health....
And smoking is far from being one of the major issues that New Zealand faces, so that should not have been the first thing mentioned in the description
What kind of fantasy world you live in where smoking yourself sick and costing the health system and the tax payer is a "human right"?
If you voted National or Act this is what they told you they would do! shame !
Yep and this clown banned me and my family from civil society even though the experts told him not too, I've never voted right but I'll never vote labour again while this clown stays there.
It's you who should be ashamed.
Shame on you for your support of Mr. Lockdown and the Commies. Kiwis are proud that they ousted Labour and the Green from government.
yep, we all voted for a change from the socialist victims!
@@JasonRIGHTOK You voted to change to a Neo Nazi Capitalist state. BRING BACK LABOUR!!!
How does Chris stand up there and argue, when he ignores what he has been involved in for the past few years? Truly odd man?
what has he been involved in? the financial position of NZ published by the outgoing Labour govt was good, and improving. Nats have turned it to crap in record short time.
@@JamesFaction the convid rollout... a health, financial and ethical disaster for most of New Zealand people.
@@JamesFaction😂 what world you been living in? The labour hang over is very real
@@Alex-it5ej false. They published the books when they left office. Also inflation was on a downward trend and under national the trend has slowed. Unemployment has lept up. National has been far worse for the economy already than Labour was. It's galling that the press keep letting the Nats lie about the economy and blame Labour.
@@JamesFaction is that why labour got only 27% of the vote...
Please put more content up regularly @New_Zealand_Labour_Party because we can no longer share efficiently from Parliament TV.
It could be worse. Last time National bought votes with tax cuts they belatedly realised they'd left a gaping hole in government income so they put up GST to pay for it. The rich got a tax cut and lower income kiwis didn't - but they still had to help pay for the cuts anyway through the GST increase. This time they're just borrowing to pay for them. SMH.
I was in amongst the lower income in the 70s and 80s
but I worked hard to get where i am today, one should never
rely on any Government to help you get ahead in life
@@graemethomson5167 So you'd not be in favour of tax cuts I assume? I mean... that's just the government helping you get ahead in life, right?
Absolutely true
I love chippy
Yeah NAH to NACTF 👎🏻🤮
Buckle up for 9 years
yean nah get fecked to labour!
Chris Hipkin, so you think the landlords and the successful people are not hardworking people?
The landlords and successful people just plug the money from their money trees in the garden???????😂
All those "rich" people grafting away, being industrious, offering goods and services, providing housing to those who don't have the means to buy a house, paying like 75% of all the taxes. Who do they think they are?
Isn't the current poor economy of New Zealand caused by the policies of the Labour Party? Which country in the world has the most prosperous streets like New Zealand, with so many vacant shops and chaotic public security? How can such a city attract tourists and investors?
😂😂😂no
Yes 100%
No. They love to blame Labour all the time tho. Very convenient excuse for all the mistakes the Nats have made, and we're only 6 months in
@@JamesFaction so the current govt took over a country with low crime, low cost of living, affordable housing etc etc and the current govt came in a caused all of the current situation in the last 6 months? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
No obviously not...
Eat more sausage rolls
Man alive Chris, you have seriously lost the plot! In some ways that's perfect because no way are you ever going to be able to repeat the abomination of your party's 6yrs of Governance that you ignore even now that has truly truly WRECKED New Zealand!
Labour's only fault is they didn't move fast enough on things like social housing and health. They didnt "wreck" New Zealand they kept us alive and kept the economy going.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Lmfao, he reckons that Labour and the other left wing parties will be there for kiwis!? Guess what Hipkins! You weren’t there for us when you had your chance as the Prime Minister! Oh, how delusional he is!! 🤣🤣
Well said Chris, the shocking state New Zealand is currently in is absolutely disgusting and embarrassing. All kiwis deserve the best and national is just the worst.
and labour put us here, you remember the last 6 years of debt and no delivery. Chipkins, the soon to be unemployed!
Now why do you think the New Zealand economy is in the state it’s in. Another 3 years of Liebour would’ve seen New Zealand turn into another Venezuela
I worked damm hard to get a Rental Property
I made sacrifice's to get it.Dont tell me I'm not
a hard working Kiwi..The reason we don't get
everything promised is because you stuffed up
Bla Bla Bla Chippy no one's listening
Imagine if you got tax breaks for investing in real business instead of property
Actually the latest polls say folk are listening - maybe check them
Why do you think that. The media is so far up Liebours jacksie that all you can see is their laces. This government will never get a fair sick of the sac from the corrupt bribed media.
@@jackohere1878sorry I don't get it what do u mean people in the polls say there happy fir tax cuts in property or they prefer for tax cuts in business
@@andrewjohnwilliams6951 The polls show Nats popularity has fallen markedly since election with Luxon also falling badly. If you believe the polls an election right now would be extremely close.
People's thoughts on tax cuts etc were not the question asked but given the results obviously many are not overly happy with what has happened since the change of Govt.
top korero chris on point
This is the kind of Prime Minister we should have. Compassionate and thinking of all his people and not just the few. I say, bring back Chippy!
fool.
What a joke he is and YOU!
Are you absolutely mental mate?
Being kind does not make money for the economy.
Hes a poor excuse for a man let alone a prime minister
100% support labour over national💯
bahahahahahaha you gonna be looooooooosing for a long time commie!
