How is it that almost anything can be fixed by manipulating the spine? I understand that the spinal cord and a lot of muscle is there but still.
Simple answer- the CNS: the brain controls everything in the body. The nervous system acts as the highway for communication to the body. Every cell, tissue and organ is connected to the nervous system that perform different functions- these are the central, peripheral, sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The spine houses these nerves and when a bone is out of place, it acts as a traffic jam for the communication between the brain and body. Adjusting the spine allows the body to communicate freely from above-down, inside-out.
