Getting the rankings and doing a combo video is different. Getting all s at mission checkpoints (no faust hat) and no damage bonus on hardest difficulty is no less impressive
Welp, I'm late. I hope people can still bump this so more people can be enlightened, though I won't go as in-depth this time. I didn't inspect closely (and my skill as a player is limited), so probably will miss a few techs and intricacies here and there. I will also skip things similar too his previous videos (unless they're really amazing). 0:16 He air-tricked then ground-tricked... but ended up low-air, and not standing. This is a tech discovered by DelusionaryKiller, which uses the enemy from the location before the trick, to enemystep (thus jump cancel) the ground trick animation, so he can do a low skystar into revolver (which instantly goes to the finisher because he is close to ground). There are various application of this tech in this video, find it yourself. As a side note, you also need to release lock-on for this tech to work. 0:33 is reminiscent of his "DMC4 Combo MAD Remake", instead of using timed Lucifer pins, it's the faust hat. 0:38 is not reversals mod, but one of few remaining reversals in the game. There are a few mothods to do it, but they're tied to Hightime&Stinger afaik and are hard to pull off consistently. This one in particular uses the landing animation as buffer, I believe. 1:20 the first hit of Idling is positioned in a way *so that it whiffs on purpose,* to make use of the Devil Sword Dante's *Chaser* ability, to bounce the enemy down then back up, so he can link to Highside rise it up further using *Chaser* (very hard to notice since the highside is cancelled very early) before using Breaking. 3:18 He used hard way for movement, by using it, then breakaway just before landing, to cancel its recovery completely.
How is he doing 1:00 do you know? I can't work out how he cancelled Full Throttle on the ground into Red Line. He also cancels another grounded Cavaliere move at 1:36 to do the reverse Red Line (slow it to 0.25 and you'll see a few frames of him getting on the bike). Again, no idea how this is even possible?
@@Morninglord22 I don't see what trouble you have, just input Red Line in the middle of full throttle, the game allows the two moves to link, as long as you don't do it too early. In 1:36 he simply did a "reverse" Redline, there are no other moves. It's just a quirk with Red Line, simply release lock on and push another direction during immediately after inputting the move, you don't even need to buffer into it from another move. It's nothing new or difficult to do, and Sakaki (as well as many others) have used this multiple times in his past combos.
Is there a timing for red line cancel? I've been trying it and I can't get it to happen. Thanks for the reverse redline, that's sweet, just tried it. I had no idea you could do that. Still can't do this full throttle -redline cancel though. edit: Nevermind, figured it out. This is awesome! Thanks man!
There's nothing that special about hitting the tomboy shot like that, anyone can do it easily (though the setup leading into it is another thing altogether and is quite advanced and full of original details). If you think this is amazing, I recommend that you pay close attention to his movements watching in 0.25 speed. For example, at multiple points he made use of a tech, to trick to a specific location, then trick to another location and simultaneously start a Swordmaster summoned swords before he moves to another location to create interestingly timed attack sequences (such as hitting enemies into the summoned swords). Or using skystar, switch to swordmaster for summoned swords, the back to trickster in time for air mustang of the same skystar. Along the same veins, he also cancelled ground trick multiple times through enemystep on the location before the ground trick, allowing him to do low air JC into skystar/air revolver, without actually landing on the ground. And these are just the most obvious parts of his combos, it's a lot more detailed than just that.
Guys, can anyone explain please how to make a helm break on 00:34 on the opposite side of the enemy? Awesome technique Sakaki, i'm glad youtube have 60fps now and we can slow down stuff like that and learn the moves
Holy crap on ice, at this point, your level is unreachable! I almost want to private my vids because of how unrad they are in the face of this badassery. ...or at least start putting Cavalier right before King Cerberus now that I saw that cancel into Crystal.
Personally I think the focus on the complex interaction of 1 single enemy with a lot of horizontal vectors is a lot more interesting than just keeping two characters in a combo, but if you are interested in that then Brea and MartinG have done some combos on multiple enemies.
V was just an interesting experiment that needed to happen sooner or later in a DMC game, to have a summoner fighting style and how it would play out. Capcom nailed that style perfectly, but even then, there is not much you can do with that style compared to the ridiculousness that is Dante, even Nero had a hard time catching up in DMC4 and with the prostetics now he is closer, but not there yet. To be fair, V is the most fun I have had with a summoner in any game.
The problem isn't that he doesn't fit, it's that he's a very incomplete character. There are so little moves, and your control of the familiars are so minimal, all the best V players all say he needs a buff. It's hard to justify the lack of options, especially since the dpad is completely empty, and book takes up a whole button. They should at least give an option to set whether your familiars stay close to you or track enemy.
@@GradationAir I honestly think he's unfinished. He even has an unused screen clear attack. I think they also said that his playstyle would get "more interesting" in the second half, but he's not even in the second half. Feelsbadman
@@GradationAir I aggree with you there that he is underpowered, but thats the deal with him even story wise, I think he is supposed to feel underpowered compared to Dante and Nero, story and gameplay wise. Besides, asking for a buff in a single player game? Come on now...
@@alexferrier5732 The problem isn't how he's weak, but that his kit is very uninteresting and is very shallow. Of course single player games should be rebalanced especially if it has flaws in its gameplay (e.g. Witcher 3, star ocean 3), many single player games have done this. I'm glad that you don't make games if you think what dictates a character's gameplay is good based on lore. In that sense, they should nerf Nero's options as well and make him less fun to play since he's weaker than Dante. And also make Sin Devil Trigger last at least a minute, since he can last that long in cutscenes.
First track is actually "forza del destino", a remix of the versus fights against Dante. Both tracks are part of remixes of the DMC HF/HM remix album. Check it out!

The sexiness of these combos is high and fluid, with an aggressive touch to boot.

It is a fact that sakaki does create the most precise clean looking and demanding combos in dmc.
