Dear Mr. Dong, Chinese solar greenhouse build and explanation you give is one of the best I've seen. I own a 2.5hectare farm and would love to have something similar to extend my growing season. And I am sharing your video with other farmers so they can see what is possible without having to use propane burners to keep their greenhouse warm enough. Thank you very much to share your knowledge of the Chinese solar greenhouse technology. Far more advanced and far more practical than what is available here in US.
You have inspired me. I'd love to do this here in New Brunswick Canada will be watching all your videos as to get ideas on how it's built ,I think this is an awesome implement for this area as nothing I'm aware of is around this area. Thanks for your time and inspiration. Now a New subscriber.
Thank you so much for your videos I'm learning so much I am in a very cold area myself but I'm only in northeastern Arizona but we do get below zero here and you've given me great ideas on how to do our greenhouse here thank you again
Dong says, I've been lazy sorry for not makeing a video and then proceeds to show us an additional 20 000sq ft of growing space. Which is it Dong ? You say your lazy yet you work hard, make up your mind.......
Fantastic projects. Thanks for sharing. As with everyone else, we'd love to know who to contact to investigate a similar greenhouse. I'm in the Colorado and we sometimes have VERY HIGH WINDS, so it may be more difficult. THANKS!
Thank you for showing the blankets. I have been curious about their construction and quality. I know some suppliers have automatic blanket deploying machine. Did you buy this as well?
Hi Dong, great work! We are willing to build a small project for teaching purpose and look for something very efficient in energy but also in space. May you pls share us the name of the company in China to whom you bought the last greenhouse one layer you will install next year?
Hi, Mr Dong Jianyi. First of all, thank you for producing your videos. It's an amazing thing and hopefully more and more people will try this. I have a few questions! 1... For people in cities, like myself, maybe there are mini versions too? For instance, where I live, Bylaws classify a greenhouse as a shed, and I can build or buy a 10 sq meter greenhouse but I must get and pay for a permit ( a percentage of the construction costs) if I go bigger than that. I bet that there is a large untapped market for a 10 m2 mini version! 2... I can understand why you don't want to go full "climate battery". It's way too expensive and all that digging could potentially damage your soil. But what about a smaller attempt? Maybe one 10 cm diameter or 15 cm diameter drainage pipe 70 cm deep or a meter deep and the full length of your greenhouse under the soil inside your greenhouse? You blow greenhouse air through it, it cools the air by 6 to 12 degrees, warms the soil a bit AND moisture condenses too (in the root zone!). You just have to orient the drain holes straight down so there is no standing water. I think they have "mole drainage" contractors where pipes are laid quickly and fairly cheaply with minimal soil disturbance. After going through the pipe, the cool dry air can be vented outside the greenhouse (or inside if its freezing cold). If venting outside, fresh air with more CO2 in it gets sucked in to take it's place. 3... Are the chickens for CO2 later on in the growing season? (You have your chicken house north of the greenhouse and vent their air into the greenhouse). I think a human exhales enough CO2 to bring a 10 sq meter greenhouse up to 1000 ppm CO2, but it probably takes 15 to 30 chickens to have the same effect? Thank you and best of luck in the future.
Hey Dong, Im nearby in Alberta and was wondering if you could give more info on where you order these 'Chinese Design North Wall Greenhouses' from? I'd really like to set one up. Do they come in a 100ft model? Or just under? Also, how deep down are your geothermal pipes dug down to?
Hello! Can you send me any purchase information on who to buy the frames and blankets from and how long they take to ship? This would be very helpful to me! Best wishes
Awesome expansion since the last video! Hoping you get a bit more time to video some more for us! How much tomatoes did the first passive solar greenhouse produce this past season?
Snow load .35 KN/m squared or about 7.35 pounds per square foot by manufacturer much less than recommended 30 pounds per square foot so my question is how did you justify the construction under the Canadian Building Code?
Hello Mr Dong, How does this new outside quilt handle the dew that would be on top of it in the morning? Wouldn't it soak it up when it is rolled up in the morning, before the dew has dried. The bottom layer is cloth. When it is rolled up over the top layer, it seems to me that it would soak up the dew (or if there was night rain - the rain drops) and gradually become heavy and maybe less insulating. I am building a single layer solar greenhouse and need advice on what type of quilt to buy. Could you please help me?
I am looking to start a project like this in northern manitoba, zone 2b. Just not too sure which greenhouses are reliable enough for the amount of snow we get up here.
I loved seeing the chickens in the greenhouse - they looked so happy :) Would love to build something like this on a smaller scale. We have a great sun-baked piece of land in the mountains. Would you recommend a supplier for that? I had a quick look on Alibaba and there are so many choices for large greenhouses.
Hello Dong Happy to see a new video Do you manufacture the structural pieces yourself or do you purchase them somewhere in Canada We are seriously looking into a greenhouse for edmonton and this style is at the top of our list based upon your videos and success
can you explain one more time what the reason for doing both sides transparent/plastic was? how is it better than one sided greenhouse other than increased width?

I find this so interesting. Would love longer, more in depth videos on how others could accomplish these structures, perhaps on a smaller scale.
