I have a question about the kayaks. The hubby and I are taking our trip on the Seabourn Venture this coming January and are so excited after watching the videos. Can you tell me if Seabourn loans a dry suit for the kayaks? Do they loan us the waterproof boots for the kayaks? If we're supposed to use our own waterproof pants that we have for the zodiac and land excursions, would it be better or not to have the zipper on the lower pants leg to get the shoes off and on? How wet do we get on the kayaks? We're planning to do the kayaks regardless but just want to make sure we have the correct clothing. Thanks bunches.

As for your kayaking tour, Seabourn will provide a dry suit, which includes built-in waterproof boots, so you won’t need to bring separate boots for the kayaking tour. You'll also have an automatic inflatable life jacket (PFD) to wear, which won’t get in the way of your paddles. I do recommend bringing waterproof pants for zodiac tours and land excursions. When I did my Ventures by Seabourn cruise in Alaska, it was rainy, and we got a bit wet from the ocean, so waterproof pants were essential. You can wear them over your regular clothing, and pants with or without a lower-leg zipper should be fine for getting the shoes on and off. In Alaska, we entered the kayaks directly from the water, with the adventure team holding the kayak steady. It wasn’t the most graceful maneuver, but it worked!🤣 Your process in Antarctica may differ slightly due to the colder climate, but the expedition adventure team will guide you through it.
