Maurice Ravel - Rapsodie Espagnole
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 вер 2024
- Rapsodie espagnole is an orchestral rhapsody written by Maurice Ravel. Composed between 1907 and 1908, the Rapsodie represents one of Ravel's first major works for orchestra.
In its atmosphere, the Rapsodie reflects the profound influence of the Spanish musical heritage imparted to Ravel by his Basque mother. As a child, Ravel would listen to his mother sing him folk songs from her country. Later works by Ravel, such as Boléro and the opera L'heure espagnole, also claim similar sources of inspiration. Ravel composed his Rapsodie only a year before Claude Debussy appeared with his own evocations of Spain in Iberia.

Merci 😊
Thank you!
The Spirit of Spain has been a great inspiration for many major masters of the universal music: Ravel, Debussy, Rimsky - Korsakov, Lalo, Dukas, Tchaikovsky, Chavrier, Albéniz, Granados, De Falla, Casals, Rodrigo,...
Can you made please , a list of the music this composer have made inspired in Spain?Or at least , the main who are not Spanish.Excuse me for my English.
As well as for Miles Davis, the Prince of jazz...
This sound like spain?
Forgot to say George Gershwin
Well, to be fair Albéniz, Granados, De falla, Casals and Rodrigo were Spanish themselves...
Ravel's orchestration incredible.
The orchestral battle sounds of the MMO ad really set up Ravel's subtle melodic introduction. The snazzy pop piano backing track also really sold the features of the portable battery pack between the Prélude à la nuit and the Malagueña sections.
Ravel forever...
🙏🏼
Ok...
Me remete a outros tempos.... Ouço sempre que estou triste, e ela me reaviva!!!!!!
Once more....thank you for that beautiful piece of music
Marcus Agrippa You're very welcome..

And do you know orchestra and conductor?

Charles Dutoit and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal give a definitive interpretation and performance of this intoxicating piece. Ravel, the genius melodist, genius orchestrator and genius architect.
Thanks so much. I wondered who the performers were. Not surprised it is Dutoit and the Montreal Symphony. Thx again.
Ravel's masterpiece to me ... a genius
Wow. That man knew how to write music. :-)
The one saddest thing that has changed with UA-cam is that you can get hit with a commercial right in the middle of a Recording. I’ll try another link for this piece I guess
Or you could download an adblock. I'm using Adblock Plus myself. Et voilà!
Not if you pay for UA-cam. I pay. Compared to all the various streaming services (Paramount, HBO, etc.) paying for UA-cam is a terrific bargain.
Beautiful ! Thank you for posting !
Just love this
It’s addicting, always leaves you with beautiful emotions❤️ Is this your favorite song?
*Ravel:maestro de la orquestación*
Very very seductive and soaring. magnificent.
Descubrí a Ravel, en profundidad, hace un par de años y me parece un regalo para los oídos y el espíritu
The most beautiful music ever written)
Magnifico!
Ready to rumble: which was better, this or Debussy’s Iberia? I think I like this better, but dang both are wonderful. I always expect to be approached by a young Grace Kelly when I listen to this (but I take medications for it 😂
And once you have taken the medication, the young Grace Kelly turns into . . . who? An aged and wrinkled Ava Gardner?
love your channel keep posting videos please
I dont know why but my firsts ideas are SUSPENSE.
Just at the beggining.
Makes me feel uneasy
Fantasía pura. ¡Genial!
Wonderful 👌
sublime ! what else ?
Maurice Ravel has Spanish influence on this piece inspired by his Basque mother
Who is the conductor? And which orchestra?
Pierre Monteux and the London Symphony Orchestra.
Aoukh! Too many ads. This is one for my desktop, which has ad-blocking software.
Anyone else hear Bernard Herrmann's soundtrack for Vertigo? The lengthy montage when the Stewart character trails the Novak character?
Starting after 7:35...
You are right, Bernard Herrmann's scores were very much inspired by Ravel.
Had no idea this was it's own separate composition. It came with the version of "Daphnis et Chloe" I own so always thought it was part of the ballet.
Pierre Monteux and the London Symphony Orchestra.
I hear Stravinsky
@@lv7118 i get that! firebird perhaps?
Hello I was wondering if anyone had any info on how much a first edition copy of this work is worth?
love it
I can’t help but think I’m in a bond film.
I can see why some contemporary critics of Stravinsky said his Firebird was derivative of Ravel's rhapsody here. But that doesn't mean I can't like 'em both!
Det is Ravel!! Ich liebe Mensch Markus!
The opening is very reminiscent of Bernard Herrmann's Hitchcock scores, don't you think?
Yes, Ravel really knew his Bernard Herrmann! Ha ha! It was the other way around actually. Any composer worth his salt, including Hermann , has leaned much from him!!
Aqui hay puros Ravelianos, Parcos , frios y serios y con buen gusto para la musica.
Rapsodie Espagnole or Bolero?
Which is better? You can have only one answer.
For me, I love Rapsodie Espagnole but Bolero edges out on top by just a little… very little.
Beautiful rendition! Who is the conductor?
Charles Dutoit, it's in the description
Magnifique ! reprise de korsakov sur la Feria espagnole ?
I can’t be the only one who thinks this piece has hints of the soundtrack from the 2006 minis series Jane Eyre.
Lukas Miller Which do you think came first ?
Thank you +__+ (who's the conductor ? orchestra ?)
Orquesta sinfónica Monreal. Director: Charles Dutoit

Who is performing?
I wish in no way take anything away from this impressive realization of the work; hats off to Dutoit and Montréal. As good as one will find on YT, certainly. But that's 'cause Martinon's inspired interpretation with the Chicago Symphony (RCA 1968ish) isn't to be found here. Colors you've never heard before.
