- Lesson 30 of our study of the book of Revelation continues with the letter to the church at Pergamos in chapter 2 verses 13 and 14. Pastor James Knox provides a brief look at Antipas the faithful martyr and goes in depth on the "doctrine of Balaam". Balaam was a hypocrite in a cloak of righteousness, who in the name of God taught people a doctrine of compromise with the world-idolatry and fornication. Balaam taught that people could sin against the commandments of God and still get the blessing of God. In our time of modern and libertine churches, Brother James poses an honest question to preachers, missionaries and church leaders everywhere: "When was the last time you preached against sexual immorality?" Brother James concludes with the admonishment that someone has got to teach every child of God that it is unacceptable to continue in sin.

Great message, thank you. This reminded me of what happened last Saturday and the pride event in London. Young 'Christian's' who were involved said on a video, our Church teaches to love everyone, God is love and Jesus excepts us all for how we are, that's the Doctrine of Balaam. 🇬🇧 Liverpool
This isn’t a popular message but very timely. You don’t hear this kind of teaching. So many will say “Grace abounds,” but Paul said, “Shall we continue in sin? God forbid!” Thank you for standing on God’s word! 🙏🏽
