this song means a lot to me because my dad plays it and he tells me “when i die, i want you to play this song at my funeral” i’m like, “don’t tell me that, you’re gonna make me cry” he tells me that he doesn’t plan on living for that long which kinda breaks my heart because i’m a daddy’s girl and the thought of losing him hurts me, i know he wants to go but i tell him. “it’s not your choice, it’s God’s decision, whenever he’s ready to call you home, he’ll take you home” so this song is in my heart.
My son dedicated this song to my father. He was our hero in every sense of the word. Honorable, righteous, loving, kind and good. No one like him. We miss him and my mother, our true and valiant warrior, every single day. To the fathers and grandfathers who leave a lasting legacy, you are our heroes.

+severath19 yeah, in the old comics.. when he was a complex smart bad dude! not the little wimpy androgynous guy they picked to play him in the movies..why does Hollywood keep using these sissies to play manly parts? From the new James Bond on across the board.. Compare the Sean Connery James Bond to this wuss they got now.. look at how Peter Parker was pictured in the comics and this little guy-girl..it makes no sense.. I know women that used to look at GQ magazine to see well dressed MEN, and they can not stand to see it now.. they say the guys all look androgynous..and wimpy. what is all this about?
when the ring once held on the finger, is a fading memory that still lingers. when a person goes out and cast a vote, for one who is nothing more than a ghost. hero or truth is a figment of one ones imagination, for what one chooses to believe. every one falls for it, but few every choose to accept it. THE TRUTH

My dad is a hero, he fought in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Man I remember walking everywhere in my city listening to foo fighters all day!
dedicated to my father. Happy Father's Day here in Indonesia
What, Tide liked this video... as in the laundry company...
I give free subs to anyone well it is a pretty sick song to listen as one folds clothes on a long laundry day
thank God!
My dad💚
My hero 💚
he will always be ordinary 💚

Great song! Beautiful lyrics
My dad is so my hero, and this song totally reminds me of him :)
Looking over the comments and seeing how many people have found inspiration in this song. How it reminds them of their lost loved ones. Dave and Taylor made something epically beautiful for the whole damn world
I’m listening to My Hero by foo fighters today just finding out about Taylor Hawkins R.I.P dude you are my hero a true musical legend. My heart extends out to his family as well as his band mates Especially Dave Grohl cuz I know they were really good buddies for over 25 years and it’s hard when you loose someone close to you
Just saw them in concert last night...they were epic...Dave is the man!
A great brother, father, friend and man. My Hero
This song is 2022's first find for me. I heard this for the time in 2022!!! I think this is gonna be a good year.
rest in peace Taylor Hawkins, your drumming was excellent.. passed on too soon. 3/25/2022 age 50 🙁
may this be dedicated to you
I remember the first time I heard this song. I was at Universal Studios in Florida and got off of all the superhero rides and heard this song right after and it was the best thing ever :'-)
RIP Kirk Cobain; a true musical genius, and my hero
Kurt*
But He swore he didn’t have a gun..
Ironic, your hero had the mental strength of a new born.
everytime this song come on now i think of my dad (Darren John Kemble 29 05 1967 - 23 02 2020) He was my hero
the 1 year anniversary is coming up
@Tushaelikesmusic awesome song bro thank you for making this lyric video you earned a subscriber with the bell on (me) congratulations man
This is a great song and has helped me deal with the loss of my hero my grandfather
I wish they'd start playing this kind of music the 90's music on the radio again. The newer shit isn't worth it!
its sad that kurt died (vocalist of Nirvana) but if he didn't we wouldn't have foo fighters.
Even sadder that we have the Foo Fighters instead then, though this song rocks regardless of my Foo Fighters hate.
Harpy McDaniel
Why do you hate them :( They're awesome!
My hero, everlong, All my life, lonely as you, Money wrench, February stars, the pretender, stranger things have happened, this is a call, for all the cows, the whole of wasting light and in your honor! That's only to name a few of some of their best works.
I don't like there sound in general. I'm more into the blues anyway, but our of all the bands from that era when I was a kid Foo Fighters would not have been my first choice. Like I said, I still liked this song though.
Harpy McDaniel Fair enough. At least you weren't shouting a crying like allot of other people on UA-cam who don't like things, You're cool man
Mystic_impact11 It is sad no doubt! Even though this song isn't about him. This song is about and for the everyday HEROES! Like Fire Fighters, Police, Fathers, Mothers! The list goes on!
@Potjack123456 in The movie, The Other Guys The Rock said"aim for the bushes" while this song played and they jumped off a building in slow motion.
My son is a special needs (mild) guy of 17. He sent me this song in a link in an email. We didn`t say a word, but now I can die happy.
That's awesome bro
For the longest time I thought he says "there goes my hero, Sgt. Larry!" Until one day I sang this in the car with my friend and he kept giving me weird looks and subsequently corrected me haha love you Sgt. Larry!
My hero is my father he is a great firefighter and has done some great things. Me pushes me to do my best and he is there when i need him. I know things have been hard for him these past few years but I know he can get through it. 'Kudos my hero!' Lol see wut I did there? :3
And my dad left me
@@confederatebob525 Wow so sorry. I didn't know. I hope this didn't offend you.
@@iluvuih8t3u it was a joke I just wanted to make a joke
@@confederatebob525 Oh good I felt bad.
This song helps me to be an ordinary hero to my son and daughter I really appreciate it. Thanks
65 people without heroes in their lives. Sad.
JESUS IS MY HERO😍
@@breannkay7496 Bruh
How is that sad
The Smith How? Are you talking about the fantasy Jesus? The one that does magic spells and has superpowers? The one that contradicts reality? That one?
I understand you sentiment, this is a great tune, reminds me if my dad, but you are allowed ti nit like something, if we all liked the same thing, the world would be so much poorer for it.
To my step son, the best RN I've ever met. Love ya kid, you're my hero.
RIP Taylor Hawkins! Another Legend has passed. ♥️♥️♥️
My grandfather is 90 years old, he has been the most bad ass man I've known tough as steal... but today I just saw him bedridden he looks weak and hasn't been eating in 2 weeks he was just fine a month ago... my hero...
The paramore cover of it was played at my friends' funeral too :(♥ It is a pretty song
94.1 the zone bought me here Rochester ny
This song reminds me of Spiderman back when it was good.....
*edit, the new Spiderman films have been really good! They work well with the marvel universe.
severath19 Never???
TheCNotes1 ?
+TheCNotes1 spider man is awesome
+severath19 Now its more for adults than for kids. Go check the Superior Spiderman series, it's pretty awesome.
My dad brought me here. Happy Fathers day Dads!
This is my song to Jesus who died and suffered for me☹️
✝️
Amen, brother, Amen.
lmao
Amen brother
Amen 🙏 He's ordinary ! But our Loving Christ and Savior
when the ring once held on the finger, is a fading memory that still lingers.
when a person goes out and cast a vote, for one who is nothing more than a ghost.
hero or truth is a figment of one ones imagination, for what one chooses to believe.
every one falls for it, but few every choose to accept it. THE TRUTH
I thought he was saying "he's legendary" instead of "he ordinary" haha i've been singing it wrong for the longest time. Oh well at least now i know
Totally changes the song.
@@zhangjao6328 really does change the meaning lol
I always thought is was "so generic" so I guess I was close
@@dondajulah4168 ME TOO JAY!
I always for some reason thought he said "so generic"
i don't know if this was written for Kurt or not but it makes me think of him and my dad because it was used in a tribute for him and my dad has always been my hero :)
