It's great to hear a serious conversation with satchel about his opinions on nowadays music and bands, loved the interview and love steel panthrr, thanks for putting it up!! Rock on.🤘🤘
What a pleasant interview! I love how Satchel keeps being a cocky rock star character but at the same time is a humble great guy :) And you were a great interviewer, especially loved the moment where you made a reference to Satchel's glory hole experience from prison - that was a good one haha! :) Thank you brother and best wishes! :)
awesome interview... very clear that Sachel is into what he does and is very intelligent... about the music, about the industry, and about his professional loyalty to his band mates... and also props to the interviewer for getting Sachel to relax and go in depth to the curve ball questions comfortably posed in the discussion...
A really fun interview. Satchel's opinion on HiFi / speakers is on point. When I started to get serious about my playing I also got serious about my HiFi. There is so much detail recorded music that the vast majority of younger players will have never heard. It really started getting bad in the early 2000s when the iPod became huge that there was a shift in mastering styles, compression got way OTT squishing the dynamic nuances out of performances all for the sake of a lower file size.
This dude called Satchel a 'Solid' guitar player... lmao... Satchel is Easily one of my top 10 guitarists. He can play in ANY style of music and still sound fantastic; also NO ONE can mimic EVHs tone and playing like Satchel.
It’s so true, as a kid we had to save up to buy album. So it was worth something and you usually could afford one every 3 months. So you also listened to them intently. And I hate vinyl, the sound has very little fidelity but, you couldn’t skip it easily. I started to become a “single listener” when I had a CD and I skipped to the next “good” song. All the while missing gems of songs just because the intro was to long or I didn’t like the chord progression too much. And then when driving or in the gym you hear it and you go like: “wtf did I miss?” And I know that when I wrote my synth album the order of the songs were chosen very thoughtfully, to give a journey.
Now I've heard this interview my favourite track makes complete sense. Bukkake Tears, riddled with profanity however has a lot of depth in the tune and the overall lyrical story. It has a lot of meaning and now I can see why. Amazing
This is great that I found this. A very nice serious talk with Satchel. I would say regarding satchel‘s word about a good speaker system. If you get very good high-end headphones and the proper headphone amplifier, you could replicate an immersive sound like what he’s talking about Without spending too much money. I got Senmheiser 650 headphones and a tube amp plug my phone into it, and it is heavenly bliss.
Love the interview! Satchel is great. I wish I had found out about Steel Panther years earlier but better late than never. These guys have rocked my life and saved my 2021. I hope to see them live next year : )
