Man I loved making Creepy Crawlers when I was a kid. I would get impatient with the automatic door and pry it open. Definitely got burned a few times but I didn't care. 😂
My neighbor was adamant that her kids learn to cook. They naturally suffered a few burns from time to time. She was definitely against This g Makers because they were dangerous due to the heat. My favorite was Creeple People.
had no idea they existed before the 90's, that comment about toys parents enjoyed wanting their kids to enjoy them made me think of Hot Wheels, my dad had a bunch he gave to me when i was a kid, i think they're still going strong today, crazy
Omg i remember this thing!! My lil brother had one and we made some crazy stuff. Ahh the 90s 😂😂 we had a similar toy that made gummy bugs and slime and other gross things you could eat. I always thought of it as the easy bake oven for boys lol
I still have mine! I'm 35. I even have the cast iron trays. And even the X-Men expansion thing. The liquid is a bit..... Powdery now. Lol. Sucks I'll never be able to make these with my son xD
I'm a 70 yr old lady now. My brother always got the neat toys for Christmas. He got this one year, and a Vac-u-form later. Whenever I got to stay home from school I would sneak into his room and play with them. Couldn't make too many at a time or he would've gotten wise to it. Don't remember getting burned on them, but probably did. That's how you learn. I got the Easy-bake oven. Later on, my son got some pretty fancy erector sets. I played with them more than he did, I think. I ended up becoming a design engineer.

I love this! Thank you for sharing!
Holy crap I remember laser challenge! And creepy crawlers of course.
I never had one, and I got them confused with the things that made edible gummy candy.
Incredible Edibles, maybe! I had Creepy Crawlers but not the Incredible Edibles maker.
I remember
You never forget that smell.
