- Melena Ryzik, culture reporter for The New York Times, will host a night of spirited conversation and music with iconic indie-pop singer songwriter Lykke Li. The Swedish songstress will discuss her journey from melancholic ingenue to wife and mother, putting her own spin on contemporary pop and R&B, and how her creative process has evolved with each life experience. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to spend an evening with the eclectic Swedish pop siren and hear the sounds of her honey-soaked voice, and stories from her less than ordinary life.

I feel like she is just so bruised… i just wanna hug her and tell her how amazing she is and how her songs are just masterpieces for those who are also feeling wicked in a way.. she is truly one of my favorite artists of all time and i’m really annoying and selective.
I'm so glad she's been recognized like that. Love her so bad!
I love Lykke Li's sense of humor. My favorite part of this interview was when she talked about collaboration with David Lynch.
Yes pls
She’s so authentic. Love it 😌
It's amazing how she overcome all their problems and trasmformed in a masterpiece, the way that she express their emotions in their music and she instill every chord in a heart beat ,you can feel how it makes your skin bristle. Thanks for be honest, authentic and for give us the privilege to hear you , we love you Lykke
The biggest respect to Lykke for opening up to the world so sincerely, for heroically overcoming challenges and giving us the unique music. It resembles my life to a certain extent as well. 80s and 90s pre/post war challenges and building a life by going thru hell, super successful 2000s and back to ground zero in 2018, literally living the shithole life she describes in the interview. Lykke, I saw you live yesterday in Toronto and you channeled the most amazing energy via your music. I listen to your pieces and get more determination about future❤️
I was supposed to be at that show I am so devasted I missed it.
I'm so glad I live in the same century as Lykke Li, so glad!
I feel the same
shes so humble. so modest and TRUE
she was put here to heal and touch the lives of people. mission accomplished.
It's great just hearing her talk. Letting an artist tell their story. Loved Lykke Li and the video. Thanks!
She has such good comedic time while also being completely honest. Her frankness is a lot of the humor
Lykke Li's voice is hypnotic, she always speaks the truth and she's so cool! sublime documentary.
thank you for uploading this... and thank you to the interviewer for letting her talk. lykke li has always been shy... she’s so raw and i personally relate to her way of thinking and also her music. she’s truly better than she thinks she is. i love her.

I never say anything's sick but this interview was sick. Lykke Li is wonderful and the interviewer was top notch also. Considering how prudish Americans are, she might not have gotten the critical acclaim or recognition she deserves. Here, she could have easily been paired up with an interviewer who'd subtly judge her throughout the conversation but she got this amazing woman. What a blessing. Thank you for uploading this, it's good content.
She is amazingly truthful. Beauty and biiiiig soul ❤️❣️🌹👏
this interview helps me going through post-puberty crisis - thank you for sharing this evening with us!
She seems so cool. Like her whole person
lykke went through a lot in her life and she was very honest and brave to share them. i found if off-putting when the audience would laugh or when the host made light of the things she was discussing just to avoid the tension or discomfort. did anyone else feel the same?
This has just made me realize Lykke Li isn't just an artists who goes through life so serious.. she's god a bomb ass personality! It's weirdly humanized her in a way. And I'm loving her even more now(if that's possible!) 😍
Love her to death. She is soo raw and authentic
Lykke Li funny and shy, both on a beautifull way Great interview. Respect for Lykke.
pure definition of EXCELLENCE
51 minutes is not enough....she is great...even as a person....
she mesmerize me
'Let's hang on to the negative' always have & always will love u
Lykke Li has an amazing voice, she's great, seen her in concert, Paradise Rock Club, Boston 10.7.18 :) Totally amazing! If I could relive that night of my life, I would! I am an Arizona boy from the Tucson Desert that moved to Boston with faith for a career :)! I never thought a few years after youtubing with Lykke Li I'd have opportunity to see her in concert, well, four years ago I lived in Tucson and is around the time I discovered her music, incredible :)!!!
Queen!
I have a lot more respect for her now.
it's amazing how we can channel suffering into something creative
I have watched this a few times catch new things each time. We have all been through rivalry and think that Lykke has an awesome understanding of how to help others that have been through similar situations. I can relate on so many levels. I believe that the strength that Lykke has is empowering! My advice to Lykke is to just be herself, do what works for her and remain "underground", don't expect others to foster you with a false sense of validity because Lykke is like so unique and renown. I think it just works best and is so very non - commercial to the point of existential existence! 'It's the zone...'
I could listen to her talk for hours. Team Pisces ♓️💜
I loved this interview. Thank you for sharing this. 🌸
THE MICHAEL JOKE LMFAOOOOO SHE'S SO FUNNY
your work is actually perfect! …I guess I never learn too, stay perfect Lykke 😊

Wow, my fellow Lykke Li fans are on point with their questions and comments. I need to step my game up.
We all feel deeply.
This is absolutely amazing!
Man, I love her humor!!!!! Finally. So refreshing. No bullsh, maybe a little 😆 all in good fun
You guys didn’t include her performance in this video? What the hell?
They’ll clear it eventually I bet
It's at the end. Lykke sings So Sad So Sexy :)
There may have been a cut on this youtube, I specifically remember seeing it with this interview. It might be in a different file. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
@@MikeyGQOTA no worries. It's unfortunate that it can't be found anywhere a year later either.
Been a fan since '08, pls get back to Youth Novels era! Great interview 👍

She never smiled so much
Omg the interviewer is so lost 😂 it’s so funny to watch
amazing
People were jumping out the audience to interact. She's very interesting.
I would bet that this woman has left a trail of broken hearts throughout her life.
Best music ever
That is so weird. Lykke's music isn't sad to me! Wow! Was I reading into things?!
Little bit makes me happy and wanna fall in love, jaguars in the air as well, Hard rain is so cathartic, I follow rivers makes me motivated, etc. Like is she implying she doesn't fuck with happy songs cuz... what the heck LOL she's so funny as well, love her smile ❤
Mezcal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you moreeeeeeeee now
Lykke has a lot of really good talents and she should focus on her integral. I think it is best to re-frame and have a pivot focus on success, not in rivalry and competition. Lykke is definitely signature, one of a kind, and well admired for her courage and success.
💕💕💕💕LYKKE
Great ending!
Knew her from FIFA soundtrack, underrated artist
Great interview. Much better than the one done with Allison Krauss.
does anyone know what songs she performed after this?
Something from the tour. I saw her play in Boston, October 7th! It was awesome, it was one of the nicest evenings I ever had in my life, I would definitely relive that experience over, God allowing!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really hope she's alright. She doesn't look so and it makes me sad.
sadness is her boyfriend…ofc she’s not okay

Funny that she says she’s not that swedish but all that sort of humbleness About how she’s not that good is very swedish after all
Her songs are darker than Meg Myers!!!
Lykke li is more relevant than kendrik lamar to me
This video was out Sept. 13, 2018?! ☕😳🌱🛸🤦🏻♀️😱

10:41 - 11:45 - nina simmone? johnny cash? 🤔 hmm...
sounds like lykke li desires to sound more soulful...
even tho heartaches tend to become droll, as long as she then hits us off with a pop hit we can get our energy up to, let's encourage her as best we can...💯
✌☮️
she has azmaing voice she lost her accent
