Has anyone else been bawling constantly while listening to this? We are so lucky that Lykke li and orchestra did this for us 😢 I’m so GD moved by her voice
She makes me cry, and I feel utterly saved by it every time. I try to explain her artistry to my music students and to my impatient muso friends, and it is like they cannot handle the vulnerability. It is music that cannot really be overthought. Unfortunately, it is where the deepest well of musical depth exists, and she just gets it. So sad, so simple, so utterly not simple at all. Profoundly beautiful stuff that will stand the great test of time. I love the original takes as much, some more, some benefit from the bigger space and grandiosity of scale they receive here.
There's a reason why Opera singers are at the top of their game. It costs so much to hire that many body that play instruments. This is NOT justifying the wages of this orchestra.
@@RayasNegroOvejas I think terrible bit was a bit of sloppy description from me. It's not a terrible performance. It just lacks body and the vocal hasn't been adapted to meet the arrangement. Yeah, the conductor is definitely important. I was just kind of underwhelmed. The feeling in person could've been a fair bit different too - it might be partly the recording.
Wow thank you for sharing this video! I was there for this show, i took a flight from France to sweden just for the show, it was amazing and magical. Thanks Lykke Li and thanks to Swedes for being nice with me during my stay in Stockholm.
Eu amo a música I never learn, que presente ouvir uma orquestra junto dela! Já adorava o trabalho dela de estúdio com o Anders tocando, agora admiro ainda mais. Trabalho incrível!
Incrível. Ficou atrás da orquestra. Muito performática,diferente, excêntrica 😊 Amei-a desde Sandness is a Blessing...Não entendi a indumentária....Mas, ok😊
I follow rivers....I only heard this - too much orchestra, too much violins with broken tunes, too less lykke Li....hard to hear - no compare to the moon session from I follow rivers, or "Zeit online" a capella. But perhaps a matter of taste....for me the orchestra wanted too much attention (or the componist behind) Great, that she get honored with this event.
Unfortunately the recorded version was the first of four performances. I saw the first and two last ones in person, and both last ones were better than the first in quality (probably just because they get more used to it). It was also better in real life than the recording. The priority was the performance in person, recording was a little thing on the side.
quand la voix est si peu volumineuse, le mixage est super dur !! ... en plus elle bouffe la moitié des mots... c'est raté, là... dommage, avec de si belles compo lyrique et musicale..
Yeah so much of a waste, that you can build so much depth around and with her indie, folk, songwriter and pop catalog. She’s reinventing her sound with every album and always something between bittersweet glorification of melancholy and truth shattering words
Ugh I can't believe Lykke invented orchestras... This is so amazing.
Invented? Lol😂She definitely didnt invent the orchestra, but the composer, whoever that is, is amazing
@ not you taking this literally. 💀💀💀
She is majestic! This rendition of her music is so divine.
This should be on Spotify. I need it
But you have this ,it's NOT going to sound any better on spotywoty
ending on i follow rivers, I'm not crying, YOU'RE CRYING!
still hits me after all
This is a healing session... Thank you!
Big heart to all who worked on this beautiful project. Thank you so much
Truly beautiful!
She's so ethereal and unique 🥺

So greatful they gave us little bit
This rendition of her music is so exquisite and beautiful. I Wish more artists did orchestral versions of their music.
Yeah, it's great but her vocal performance is terrible.

it can take more than the artist; the conductor is pretty known for these type of collaborations here in sweden

Ahiyie'é Lykke Li and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, den'zon'é 🥹
When you posted clips awhile back I was praying we’d be able to see. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this grace and beauty
It's all Lykke Li and the Swedish public radio! I'm just the benevolent nerd making sure it's easily viewable on UA-cam :D

*sadness
mother was mothering, literally
love this but a HUGE bummer they didn't include 'Never Gonna Love Again', will full orchestra it could have been fantastic!!!
16:33 вот здесь было чудесно ❤
Is that Bob Lazar @3:43 ? man that guy is everywhere
Why she dont play " Until we bleed " !?
Did she give birth to her second child shortly after this concert? When exactly did this live happen?
This was performed in April 2023. She did indeed give birth to her second child quite shortly after this.

Moon session? Where?

Agree with you
I’m sure she had a saying in how it sounds.

It 's too dull and in general it 's not for the orchestra
It's was lovely! But... such a waste of an orchestra for those simple pop songs, tho.

Where is never gonna love again 😭😭😭
