Hi Alex, thanks for the informative video. i have to admit that the new product from edelrid doesn't impress me that much. especially here the lever from the device is different. i remain loyal to petzl, the quality is simply unbeatable. I look forward to more videos from you. maybe also see the other new edelrid stuff???
Thanks🙏🏻. First impressions feel good. Build quality seems good. I agree with you that the new lever has a learning curve. Adjusting to that was not as bad as trying to get used to the Spark😉😂. Fuse will be available in April as will some of the other things. When I get my hands on them I’ll definitely make a new video.
I am wondering how the megawatt compares to especially the skylotec Sirius/spark they seem like the closest comparison in devices out there and it’s what I tend to use atm. And the fuse I am really kinda interested in it seems like it might roll up and down the rope better then the asap lock, which might be god or bad depending on the conditions. Definitely wanna try them both when I get the chance.
Having only tried the Fuse at the vertical freedom tour has sparked my interest. It seems like a real contender. The Megawatt is awesome with a smaller footprint than the Spark. I think they are both awesome though. Both seem durable as well. Some things I like more on the Spark, more on the Megawatt. Hard to call one better because it also depends on what you are doing.
Still thinking of getting an Edelrid Vector Y - I tried it twice and thought it feels kinda good - what are your thoughts about it after some time using it (if you still use it) :)
There was a reply from you at some other video to it: 'Croll is comfortable and I don’t feel a difference. Except that the rope slides through easily in large R2r transfers compared to other harnesses. Ventral ring can feel small and cluttered.' ... I had the feeling the ventral ring is a bit small maybe ? I guess the review of it will also come soon :)
Since I got it, I have not encountered drops that long so I havn't tried that.Up till 30 meters it is fine. I have used it with 100 meters of rope extra as weight and it was good. I am aware that is not the same as an actual 150 meter drop where you have a lot of rope above you. So I can't really help you with that.
What do you think of the Megawatt?
This looks totally awesome! So glad more videos are coming out again, keep up the great work Alex, 😆
Thanks! Will do!
Awesome chill recommendations:). Rare thing on market. Nice thing is this chip inside for PPE on date
Thanks! It is a well thought out device

Hello Alex. They both look and sound cool, I would have to use them to evaluate, they do sound very sweet though. Jim
Fair enough! So far I like it!

Yes you could
So the Fuse is like the Petzl ASAP?

I like it so much more than the Petzl Astro! I still use it 👍🏻

Yes, the ventral d ring is a bit small sometimes making things cluttered.
Does it go good in big drops over 50 store buildings??
