Wow! This is the best foreigner content about São Paulo. You really captured our spirit, aesthetic and culture! Thank you for telling the dark story behind Liberdade by the way. Most of brazilians don't know it. Definately nailed it! ❤
As a paulistano I am honored on how accurate you got the Gotham City vibes. The grittynes just grows on you and gets to you at times. There is really nowhere like it in the world.
How do Brazilians feel about the government blocking the social media platform X ? What percentage of the population use it ? Are most Brazilians on Instagram ? TikTok ? UA-cam ?
@@tudormiller887 Most Brazillians are eighter on Tiktok, Instagram or Facebook for the older folks. Twitter is not as relevant even though it is a considerable usar base. Some are pissed depending on their political leaning. Me and most of my friends are only on Instagram or Tiktok I dont know many people that were active on Twitter tbh. Lucky for you, I am actualy a lawyer here in Brazil, so if you are interested I can further explain to you what the deal is, it may get a bit lenghty but I would love to explain it to you to dispell Some missunderstandings that are being spread both Internationaly and even here in Brazil. The thing is that social media blocking is kinda usual in Brazil, WhatsApp and Telegram have been blocked multiple times for the same reason as Twitter. Some of the International media seams to spin the block as a political move when in fact it is not if you are looking at things from a strictly legal point of view. (Whatsapp and Telegram were fined because they refused to divulge information about messages being exchanged in criminal cases, they refused to pay these fines and stated that they do not divulge this kind of info based on their terms of service, they had no legal council here so they could not be billed these fines, so they got their services blocked untill they appointed one. They did appoint legal council a couple of days later, país the fines, gave the info and got back up and running 24 hours later). Many times social media have refused to abide by our national laws and regulations (most of the times when it comes to secrecy when involving investigation in legal cases, but with Twitter the problem is that the they were not complying with Electoral judges decisions hence the political tone things got...) Brazil has a judicial system much like all other democratic western countries in principle, there are multiple "levels" of justice should anyone appeal on a courts decision... So there are actualy 2 levels of justice at the state level. And 2 more at a federal level. (Judge Alexandre is in the highest level, and thus only acts in cases that have already been judged by his lower level peers). Paralel to that, there are electoral courts that follow this very same structure and are made up of randomized judges and they change every 2 years. These courts only act on cases that regard ellectoral disputes and have less burocracy attached to them in general. That is by design, because this way they have much less cases to work on and can do their jobs quickly before any one candidate gets their seat if they did something that is against our electoral fair play, to avoid situations where they are ellected but later are potentialy removed from office because the court has judged them guilty of unfair play during their campaigns. (Situations like these are very harmfull for the public in general for a number of reasons, hence why its important for these courts to act quickly before the damage is done). So you see, these decisions to take down certain profiles for the spread of missinformation were not taken solely by judge Alexandre, he was only the last judge to sign off on other judges decisions because they were apealed to the last instances of electoral justice in 2022. He is a supreme court judge afterall, but before anything went into his hands all these cases went through ALL our lower courts. The supreme electoral court at the time voted to block certain Twitter accounts because they spread blatant acusations or missinformation without any kind of semi credible proof (wich has always been a big nono during the political legal campaign period which lasts 4 or so months legaly, I cant remember exactely). So after all this, Elon was notified that he must take down these accounts and yet he didnt do it. He was fined multiple times (pocket change for him really) because he disregarded this decision. In an attempt to avoid paying these fines Elon decided to close his operation in Brazil, meaning the service was still active but that he had no people here to represent Twitter, criticaly meaning he has no liason or legal representation to be billed for these fines. (Obviously when I say Elon did this or that, Its not actualy Elon that does these things, Its his legal representative/council that actualy does it). If he has no legal presence in Brazil, then it is impossible to legaly interact with him, and in such cases our law demands that services are to be terminated untill he appoints a legal council. This was also the case with Whatsapp and Telegram for a few days before they did just that and apointed a legal council. The current situation is in Elons hand, the moment he appoints a legal council Twitter is back up for sure. But if he does that then he will have to pay his fines. In order to justify himself to the International media he spins this story about political censorship and whatever, when in fact its all about money. He doesnt want to spend money on a dedicated Brazil team to comply with our ellection laws every 2 or so years (besides the fact that he doesnt like them in principle, but thats irrelevant realy) Meta does it and they are fine. There is no widespread censorship, this is the case only in this 4 month period before ellections, much like many other laws here that state for example that it is prohibited to sell alchohool nationwide on ellection day. These are our laws full stop, and they always have been. Many foreign companies try to ignore or circumvent them, blocking these services is our tool to make them comply. I belive most Brazillians dont care about Twitter, even those on the far right, they may complain about the "ban" (which is actualy a temporary block that would be lifted as soon as Elon apoints a formal legal representation) because the user base of Twitter here has always been relatively low compared to other social media. I hope I did a decent job of explaining it to you and answering your question, this is kinda complex, especialy for a foregner, sorry for the broken english and huge reply.
@@tudormiller887It is not the most popular social media in Brazil. And the majority of people who use it are more upset with Elon for not complying with local rules than with Brazilian justice.
It took me by surprise, I thought your video about Brasilia had been just a random luck, but I'm glad you made it one more city I liked your video template

I’d honestly pay UA-cam for a button to filter out brazilian comments on videos about Brazil. It feels like 90% of the comments are always brazilians sharing their views on what foreigners have said. It’s always good to hear from fellow brazilians, but on a video like this, I’m much more interested in the foreign perspective.
I live here in Sao Paulo for more than 40 years and world like to thank you for a respectful and in-depth view of our city. It has a lot of problems, but also a lot of beauty and places to enjoy
I was born and lived there from 1970 to 1998, 28 years therefore. For those who left Sampa and live in the interior, it is a pleasure to watch your documentary! You managed to express the São Paulo spirit with great depth. Congratulations!
Nice video. But you guys shows only a small slice of São Paulo... Let me know next time you are around. I'll be glad to show you my beloved town. The poor side, the very wealthy side, the stadiums, the museums, the best food in the world! The parks, specially Ibirapuera, the old downtown, Avenida Paulista, the Faria Lima Avenue (the heart of business in Brazil nowadays), and the food again, the italian food (São Paulo is the bigest Italian city in the world), the arabian food (São Paulo is the bigest middlewest city in the world), the barbecue houses, the Teatro Municipal de São Paulo, (the building the I most love here, made by the same architect who made Meracado Municipal, Ramos de Azevedo) the Sala São Paulo (one of the best concert hall in the world) and wondwerful, the Praça da Sé, with its gothic cathedral, the Mosteiro de São Bento, with its veeeeeeeery expensive brunch (wich worth every cent), the iconic Copan Building, and so many other things we have here. And more food!!! :) like the most typical São Paulo's sandwich, o Bauru do Ponto Chic. Well, just let me know... Oh, BTW, you have a very nice text, and good shoting too.
@@user-rv9um5xc3r Of course not. But they spend about half of the video talking about "pichação", what not even art is, just dirt. It is perfect to talk about grafitti in São Paula, it is the face of the town, and we have very good works and workers on it. But "pichação"? It is made by gangs competing agaist each other to see who can make the "highest dirt". It is worthless. Anyway, I like them work, they have nice text, good direction and good editing too. I saw some of them videos, there are a fine job. I am afraid it wasn't the best one... Maybe due lack of a good reserch. This is an amazing town, that was not showed in this video. A pitty. But that's ok.
Great video! Minhocão is also a great place! Best place to see Grafite and Pixação. Minhocão is an elevated highway in São Paulo that winds through the city at building height. On Saturdays and Sundays, it’s closed to cars and becomes a park filled with graffiti and Pixação

Amazing! As a São Paulo cityzen the way that foreigners see our way of life and enjoyness is completely awesome, because everything about our city is so normal to daylife. My case, I worked at Liberdade for about two years and never go there to enjoy and chill. Not everyone in the city lives like the way that video shows, specially the ones that are located in other regions os the city that we called "zonas", which are based on geographically location of your neighborhood. Videos about these "zonas" would increase the culture of São Paulo, like a secret city in the city.

Thank you so much :)
Your explanation about the Liberdade hood is crucial because even Brazilians are unaware of its dark history. Great!t film :D
Thank you!!
This is by far the best documentary I've ever seen someone from outside doing about my home city. Thank you! And I hope you had a great time here.
this is one of the best things i've ever watched!!! such good shots, narration and everything was top tier!!! deserves an award! (I"m from são paulo hehe)
Thank you!!!
Why is this channel so unknown? This is a high-level production... I loved the videos
Thank you! 🙏
I’ve been living in São Paulo for a year now and let me tell you I’ve never seen a video so good and informative as this one! Congrats on the absolute great job you’re doing!
Enjoyed this video! Going to São Paulo for the Eagles vs. Packers game next week and needed a crash course definitely helped with food selection! Cheers!
I'm from São Paulo, born and raised. I loved your video, it portrayed our city well.
Outstanding documenting grade! Congrats, from a seasoned video editor... SP is a backup city that holds a small piece of all mankind!
Thank you :) :) We loved filming in Sao Paulo
Meu Deus, que conteúdo incrível! Você é perfeita, muito bem vinda ❤️🇧🇷
Thank you!
the way she bring our culture to her videos are impactant, sao paulo its a very big city with a lot of cool things to do, but you choose to bring only what people here really do! showing our truly brazilian human being
You did my city justice, great video! It's hard to be a foreigner and be able to capture the city's soul so beautifully as you did!
I need to go back to SP!!! I Miss it so much!!!
You've captured the spirit of our city so nicely! Thanks for showing such appreciation. I hope that you come back soon and that you always feel welcome here :)
YOUR POV DESCRIBES VERY WELL THE SAO PAULO ATMOSPHERE E URBAN DINAMISM. CONGRATS FOR YOUR CHANNEL!!!
Thank you very much!
I’m from São Paulo and loved to listen to your experience and point of view ❤️❤️❤️ great job
Your videos are amazing! Would be amazing you creste a vídeo about Minas Gerais Brazil, showing the hidden waterfalls, mines and the local food that is the best in Brazil
Your video is beautiful and made me emotional, I miss my country everyday. São Paulo is far from perfect, but it's home ❤
A beautiful and complex place ❤ Thank you for watching
Rich in culture and vibrant with human experiences. Well done.
Great documentary! It is on the same level as the great productions of Brazilian TV channels. Congratulations!
Wow, thank you!!
Why offend them??
honestly i think it's even better
Superb writing and editing, great filming and even sound design. You're very talented.
incredible video, really captured the diversity of our culture throught the different cities you visited
Every time you capture the ethos of the place so well..
🎉🎉🎉
sorry, but this video deserves more views! Impressive filming style and editing!
São Paulo City is The big City of America, megapower City is beatful and modern.
That worker and poet at the end of the video represents Brazilians a lot
@tullio.Olá 🤝 bom dia
Epic proletarian 'rima' starting in the 14:36!!! ✊🏽
Edit: and also again at the 17:31. What a nice surprise in this video.
i'm from São Paulo and this video was a huge huge surprise to me. it shows many many aspects not commonly shown elsewhere and it was just lovely to watch, such beautiful perspective for people that still haven't visit São Paulo just yet. amazing work making this video, keep it up.
Conseguiu demais retratar o Brasil no vídeo
Retratar São Paulo, né!?
@@awermaia Isso aí
I absolutely LOVE the way you shoot and speak about other cultures it feels like a documentary in the most artistic sense of the word
I am very surprised to find out (by watching this Sao Paulo Travel Video) that there is a large Japanese Population in this part of Brazil. Wow! 🤔😳🗾
Muitos japoneses,chines e coreanos
In Brasil we got the biggest japonese population out of Japan. They are totally part of our formation as a metropole
@@brasilferreiracinema9029 that's wonderful to hear. 😏👍👍💯🇯🇵🇧🇷
Not only large, the largest.
It took me by surprise, I thought your video about Brasilia had been just a random luck, but I'm glad you made it one more city I liked your video template
Thanks! More coming from Brazil.
Well done! I started to watch your content prior to a trip to San Francisco and it was really helpful. I like that you’re covering Brazil now, my home country. Great view of São Paulo!
To sendo paulistano errado.
Gostei do conteúdo. Video excelente
You've been to the best places, you even went to Casa de Francisca and Julinho hahahah incredible, you must have great friends, congrats!
Verdade amigo, passo por esse mesmo problema
Vídeo documentário fantástico, me prendeu a atenção até o último minuto.
I'm sorry, was the video advertised as "everything São Paulo has to offer"?
@@diromeu You are absolutely right about pixação that most people in SP hate!
wow, thank you so much!! obrigada
You captured the essence of the city and Brazil extremely well! Amazing job!
Lindas imagens, vídeo de alta qualidade.
Great video! Minhocão is also a great place! Best place to see Grafite and Pixação. Minhocão is an elevated highway in São Paulo that winds through the city at building height. On Saturdays and Sundays, it’s closed to cars and becomes a park filled with graffiti and Pixação
The most diverse city in all the ways
What a coincidence!!
You were at Luiz Fernandes' bar... It's right next to my house...
So delicious! We loved it.
Hey! Congrats for your video, very engaging and great content. Next time you're in São Paulo I'd be glad to have you in one of my tours, I can show you many other things I'm sure you'd love to see!
wow, this video has an amazing narrative
Thank you!!
Wonderfull job, i first got attacted by the Brasília vídeo, and amazingly i can watch your vídeos concentrared!! You are doing art, keep the good job, a big hug!
Obrigada!!!
That band had members of a band called "O Terno" and they're amazing!
São Paulo is the biggest city in all of the western hemisphere of the globe.
And the southern hemisphere too
what i love most about SP is that you can find a piece of every part of the world in this city!
I'm from São Paulo and this is the best video about my city I've ever seen! Congratulations for your job and your creativity, you'll always welcome here!
I want to visit sao Paulo ❤

My gosh girl!!!! You are amazing!!!!! What a poetic way to describe this incredible and super underrated metropolis!!!! Loved every second of this art piece. ❤️🇧🇷❤️
Great work! But I can say you just scratched 10% of São Paulo surface! Come back for more of our culture and food. Loved the video!
Thank you! And yes, it would take a lifetime to explore everything Sao Paulo has to offer.
what a spectacular view of our brazil. congratulations for showing it to us in such a beautiful way!
Esperta, veio na época de Tanabata Matsuri
Atualmente mesmo sem Tanabata, está lotado!

the videography and writing are really good, as a brazilian and one that lives in these busy streets you showed, i'm very pleased with the vibe you gave this video.
i think there's plenty more to be told about this city, the highlights you've shown are very touristic in nature, and for a good reason, but still. nice job
Great video! Being born and raised in São Paulo it’s so good to see u guys enjoying our city! ❤️ You just missed a visit to MASP or the other museums in the city. Come back as many times as you wish!
🥰
Insightful and fresh take to journalism👍
Thank you! 🙏
one of the best videos of tourists in Sampa for sure ❤
14:37 o mano sabe rimar 😎
This is really good timing, I just met a Brazilian girl from this city the other day and now I can learn about it

This is definitely one of the best vids about são paulo i've ever seen
