If you look at the overview on the Phylida page, they have made quite a few changes to their NTTD homage over the past few months. They starting out with a glossy dial, 100m water resistance, a white date wheel, a different shaped helium escape valve, and no AR coating. Then over about four generations, about one month apart, they changed all of those things. So, it is now matte dial, 200m water resistance, black date wheel, different helium escape value, and AR coating added. The sapphire crystal is also claimed to be double domed (but I can't see it on mine to be honest).
I have a gen1 and replaced the insert. Without the insert I could see it is a very thick crystal. I think it is double domed. Now they just need to work on their lume.
I really liked that comparison video and am gradually becoming a fan of brushed ceramic bezel inserts. Thanks for the Strapsco link. One of their Milanese straps is likely a near future purchase.
For the price I think the phylida is the winner, just looks the most well rounded and sorted out of the three. The bezel is my favorite on that too. Great work on the comparison too.
I have purchased a lot of straps and clasps from Strapsco and everything I have purchased was top notch. In particular, vintage Dassari straps are a wonder to behold.
Yeah that's what's in the one I have in the video too. They are great movements, I think. I've got a few in other watches too. Not had any issues with any of them so far.
I think that pagani now also comes with a milanese bracelet Overall for the price, Bliger is a great entry point for this homage section. Okay bezel action, good movement, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, lume is alright (yeah we ain't diving so). No need to go above this level really. Great comparison!
That Phylida looks great with the matte bezel and the Bond NATO strap. I have a Cronos NTTD homage on a StrapCo rubber Rallye strap and it totally gives off a retro dive aesthetic.
I would like any of them at their asking/sales prices...all are decent deals. I ordered the Heimdallr version on the stainless mesh bracelet (took them forever to get that one in stock) Its still a few weeks away...LOL. Shipping to Atlantic Canada is slow.
I got the Ben nevis version I love it . I got the blue seamaster from goldeneye too same maker both excellent stainless steel and cost under $30 . Those pieces you have look great nice collection
Nice comparison video mate! The Phylida is by far the best out of these three imo. It's the nicest looking watch with its matt ceramic bezel and the way the date window is integrated together with a truncated little extra index at 3 o'clock. Besides it's got the most interesting movement option. Cheers!
Fantastic review across the range, would definitely like to see you go over the heimdallr as well. I have the pagani NTTD on the rubber strap, and have a dodgy bezel too, the upgrade to a sterile dial phylida is definitely a consideration. Have a sub from me!
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I was just watching it right after. Not a big fan of the lume on mine but mines the black version and I normally wear it under a jacket so it may be on me for that one
Phylida looks like the clear winner to me. I just wish the PT5000 came in a different color or even better the Hydroconquest or Planet Ocean homages. I have too many black dial watches without arabic numerals already.
Can't wait for the Heimdaller comparison. Thinking I might get 2 versions - 1 in blue & 1 black NTTD . I'd like to find out if I should just get 2 Heimdaller, or mix it up(?)..
Pagani should have gone with a matte bezel and HE Valve and can't believe that poor lume on it. Great comparison video, really nice to see both the Bliger and Phylida side by side. The moment Bliger drops a matte version with matte dial and insert sales will immediately double especially for the price.
Thanks man! I don't know why they don't include this feature in the first place. The lumed insert was also from Phylida. Makes a big difference in the enjoyment.
Personally if I was going to soend the 179 for the Phylida version I would kick in another $40 and get the Titanium Hiemdallar Sea Ghost with the Mesh Deployant Bracelet
Hi, i got this watch and i Want to Change the Bezel and the Insert (as mine was Bend and i dont Like the Bezel style, would Love a coin Edge). Are there any replacement bezels which fit this watch properly? I am from Germany and Just cant find any replacement bezels on Ali. Would appreciate an answer :)
I got fed up waiting for Phylida to restock with the metal bracelet that I ended up with the Bliger, for the price I'd say I'm happy but it does come with the usual alignment issue and the cheaper Chinese movement doesn't feel great
Pagani white face and there's nothing I don't like with it ,,a true bargain anything under hundred pounds is a beater watch and I'll wear it until it falls off my wrist lol
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR phew - lol ... you know how watch people feel about smart watches LOL. That Phylida definitely looks like a winner especially with that movement.

Good thing about the Phylida: Sterile version and high beat option.
Bad thing: Only one colour and no good strap option like the Pagani.

Yeah the Dassari ones in particular are really nice.
Phylida now comes with a PT5000 option. In my Escapement Time it's the most accurate movement ever - 2-3 seconds a week!

I have the Phylida one. I'm the guy who put the fully lumed insert by buying a standard insert and then coloring it to match.
