Even the inlays changed when you changed the PU
Hah yeah glad to see someone noticed
I think the Bareknuckle sounded better then the other one .
Guitar collection video or we riot
Definitely adds a certain I don't know what, to quote Dr. Evil. I just did a Holy Diver pickup demo from BKP too. Sometimes you can only measure these things in feel and response but I deffo hear the difference in your tones.
Love Bareknuckles. I´m a bit biased though hahah got a Ragnarok on the bridge position of mi Ibanez Xiphos and damn it sounds awesome. Very articulate and clear. Awesome video! Looking forward to the pick up shoot out
I have this in my Gibson les paul studio and I fricken love it .
Lots of stuff is going on in this Chanel, great work
Damn u improved a lot.
I am visiting your video after 6/7yrs
War pig be sounding thicc, like a pig... that is at war... or something...
I thought the Bareknuckle sounded rounder, the 490 sounded a little shrill which I never thought I would say about Gibson pickups.
Such a good channel don’t stop 🛑
Thank you Roma this means alot
Sounds good
I've tried about 6 different variations of BK's, and have really liked them all a lot. Except the Warpig. I couldn't get it out of my SG fast enough!
I read the eq sheet on BK’s website. I’m leaning towards these because of the bass response, I can subtly hear a difference here, obviously thicker imo. Do you notice that they are fuller sounding? Especially since you’re using bridge position? I want all the beef.
Ssseeeeeramic
War pig much better for heavier styles IMO, I have a 490t in my SG and they are more vintage sounding. U need that tighter bass for metal and the war pig sounds thicker.
For me it's always been low gain head that you want to push hard. Hot pickup with boost. With a high gain head I always have the perspective that I can add gain, but it's harder to take away. Could see uses for both, but the 490 felt more familiar
that unique, like that approach, im more high gain amp, medium to high output pickups, and a boost just to tighten if needed
@@EricShreds ya I guess I could say I'm similar although I do have a guitar with low wind PAF pickups. What's medium output to you?
I've always liked the 490 pickups, but the bare knuckle sounds better on the low end.
Right! like thats shocking I didnt expect that
İts better riff pickup if you target tightness
I can only say that in my opinion they sound very similar!
black sabbath is why my favorite rock guitar is sg
play war pigs black sabbath my favorite guitar for hard rock is sg
Hey Eric, what I love about music is the entire package. What I mean is - how everything relates to each other. Song structure, lyrics, band name, cover art, band clothing, stage presence, etc. Curating all of that stuff is what gets me going and what gives me hope and inspiration. What you can convey artistically by utilizing all of those mediums is what keeps me going.
Trew an aftermath in my 80s esp mirage. Fuckin rips
490T man
both sound good.. I can barely hear any difference.

First of all a lot of sound, tone, whatever you want to call it must be getting lost in the process of recording, uploading to youtube and listening to this through my headphones. The warpigs had a slightly deeper, tighter bass response than the Gibsons to my ear otherwise they sounded pretty much the same. Being it that I have a set of warpigs (alnico not ceramic) in my LTD JH-600 (originally had EMG 81 and 85) tuned to Drop C they don't sound anything like these warpigs. Way more clear and articulate while still holding down the low end. Then again I'm sitting right there by the cab when I'm playing them. Don't have a bunch of proverbial hoops for the signal to jump through. That's why I liked it when you used to never mike your cabs. If something sounded good in the video you knew damn well it would sound even better playing that amp, cab, whatever in my basement.
I like bareknuckles. I have a set of ceramic nailbombs in my schecter C-1 Elite tuned to E standard/Drop D and another set of alnico nailbombs in another schecter C-1 Elite tuned to C# standard/drop B . Awesome. Actually those two sound way more different from each other than the two pickups you played here so something must be getting lost through the signal transmission.........
I'm sorry man and all I do is have mic straight to Camera it normally catches better detail but it coulda been my micing. Thank for sharing this
@@EricShreds Hey man it ain't nothing wrong on your end. Most of these comparisons on youtube by all of the big name guys are like that for me. Whether it's comparing amps, cabs, modelers, pickups, whatever I usually can't tell much of a difference. Every now and then I will. Maybe it's just me. Or maybe a lot of times people hear what they want to hear. Subjective perhaps. IDK. I just think that the more, what would be the word, engineering controls a sound signal has to pass through the more it changes that signal or strips that signal of it's original sound or tone. JMO.............
Sounded almost exactly the same.
I'm sorry to say the knuckles lost this time.....Gibson did it
sound exactly the same
