It is cool to see a chainsaw carver that actually have a background in working in the forest 💪 and grate to see you talk about safty i see to menny carvers not wearing chainsaw protected pants/chaps and also fucking love your videos they er really good made 👍
i need to buy the chaps. in forrest or any uneven terrain i always use the pants. for small sculptures with light 25cc saw i use a jawhorse to hold the wood and the saw never comes below waiste height, but it does only take 1 time.
@@vallklovencarving6925 exactly. ill have to change this. will look into some lightweight legprotection once i get some coins back from my carvings. the pants i have are so heavy. have them on today at least ;)
Have you tried those orange rubber chainsaw boots? I think you would like them. they're nice and high so with your pants worn over top of them they give you a nice overlap of protection and stop the sawdust from getting down into your boots. they're really popular here in Canada. Would be great to see you try them out.
Yes, I used them for many years before bying the protection work boots I use today, a modell more like hiking boots. I actually hated them though. They were the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever worn. But back then I worked all year round in the forest and walked several miles per day.
@@vallklovencarving6925 oh that's a shame you didn't like them. Do you remember which brand you had? Perhaps if you still have them you can throw them on your feet with your pants over top of course, to show them in your next video?
Thanks for sharing the safety tips. I just got into chainsaw carving, and glad to know I have the proper safety equipment.
Cute gnome too.👍
