yeah me and my cousin were managed to grind to 15k and it was unplayable already we switched to faceit but i quit the game after a few weeks fuck cs, insurgency is better.
true. when cs2 came out, as I was global elite in csgo, I basically did a speedrun to 21k and faced almost exclusively cheaters from then on, going all the way down to 15k. thats when things normalized and I played against other normal lvl10 faceit players and cs veterans just like me and managed to get some hard earned wins without a cheater on my team (boomer brain strats vs zoomer reaction times, the battle of generations can be a lot of fun) but as soon as I got close to 18k again, another wave of cheaters hits, usually those who are a little less obvious and only cheat to make sure they win when the match when you approach match point, or just have someone with a burner account in their lobby who calls for them with radar or esp, making sure they get silent perfect timings and push the weakest point or stack against number advantages. I have been playing cs for over 20 years, it has honestly never been this bad. we had different cheaters back in the day, like speed hacking and other stupid stuff beyond spinbotting, but nearly every server had an admin present at all times, who would clap them within a few minutes. so there was never the potential for cheating to get that out of hand, because every match was moderated by the server owner or a league admin. you rarely even had to open a support ticket, because there was no point in being that obvious, so the few cheaters that were there at least made an effort to somewhat hide their advantage, so it just felt like you are playing against better opponents most of the time. winning against "legit" cheaters with superior game sense was a fun challenge in itself, like baiting them to make obvious mistakes or imagining their likely moves based on what data their cheat would have at any moment in the match. like for example, staying outside of the esp/wh range with 4 people only to turn it into a stack the moment they see only 1 person at a bomb site. but this kind of thing is not even possible anymore, because even if nobody is cheating at the beginning of a match, most of the time someone will rage hack the moment they suspect a better player to be a cheater - and then it snowballs into total hvh chaos. that is cs2 right now in a nutshell.
the funniest is that if i download a map from community i cant play, bacause it appears a menssage saing VAC detected some altered data and u can spinbot
I downloaded cheats a few weeks ago to see how easy it was to download. The goddam Valorant anti-cheat blocked my cs2 cheat. How is valve so incapable to fixing their game.
Their policy is make shit ton of money but spend NOTHING, there was an interview of someone working at valve on the cheating problem, he told that budget allows him to work 1 week/month and this budget gets cut every 6 month..
Same. Made a new account during that time and got GN2 and kept it. Finally met some friends who used Novo and Skeet and got me a subscription. Used that for over a year and got from S4 to LEM before I got a game ban. Haven’t cheated since on any other account. But that was the reason. Valve sucks with their ranking and they hardly do anything with cheaters. If everyone is cheating. Why should anyone play fair? Cheating has become the new norm.

They need to add a dedicated search queue for accounts with 5 or 10 year vet. Anyone who gets banned on that account ain't waiting those years to come again.
@@NeuroXys wrong, people buy these accounts. they are usually farmed bot accounts. I play cs for over 20 years and the vast majority of cheaters I encounter have 5 or 10 yr coins and even faceit ranks. it makes sense as well, because the trust factor system favors matching me up against those accounts. also, with this in place, queue times would be astronomical. you would have to replace all game modes with only premier and outright ban faceit matchmaking. sure, that would work to some degree but it is not the magic bullet you think it is.

AI anticheat seems like the best solution. This has to be solvable without kernel level access 8:49 If you hire a lot of new people at once for any software project you're heading for a catastrophy because you'd have a lot of people who only know bits and pieces about the project but are already working on it. So it makes sense, it would make the game worse not better. I've seen it in action and it costs you a lot of money in the future.
Idk why people are so scared of kernel anticheats. You know you can still see what they are doing. Its also funny how people think it solves anything. It just makes it harder. People who cheat at high level pay for cheats anyway or make them theirselves. The kernel is not the first thing that loads in the system so cheats can load even before the kernel does. Hardware cheats wont be detected either. You can also just buy hardware that can stream your ram into multiple sources. You can do all the cheating on a seperate computer like a laptop and that way there is literally nothing sus happening on your gaming pc. The only way to detect that is to detect the harware existing and its easy to spoof it to look like anything else. You cant even ban people who have this hardware since there are legit reasons to have them. AI anticheat wont exist for a long time if ever. How is it ever gonna detect what is luck/skill or cheats. You could use AI to make your cheating look legit. If AI can learn how to spot cheats it can also learn how to make it look human. It will ve a constant cat and mouse game and cheat devs are always ahead because they do not need to do testing so much. Valve cant just roll up a update on anticheat because it can ban legit players. Cheat devs can just try stuff out.
@@mirzu42 Kernel level anticheat is just crossing a line that should never be crossed. A game has no business running with that amount of privileges. And some games are from spooky countries like Russia or China. And the US are pretty spooky too, maybe even more. Also anticheat like that is bad for Linux users and people who play inside virtual machines because they either don't get the game to run or get banned despite not cheating. Ideally I'd want to be able to read the source code of something that needs kernel level access.
@@ltxr9973 like linux users could play any online game with any kind of anti cheat. Competitive games will never be playable on linux unless the developers of the game decide to support linux natively. Valve is one of the few companies that would probably make their kernel anticheat for linux too. And really VM’s? Who plays a competive online game that requires a graphics card on a vm? Thats just plain griefing. Your windows OS is already way more spyware than any kernel anticheat could ever be. Kernel access in practical terms is no worse than admin rights except that the kernel sees a bit more. A rootkit is bad mainly because you probably wont find it unless you are looking for it. You already know an anticheat exists on the kernel level and can just remove it or monitor what its doing.
@@mirzu42 Counter Strike always had a Linux version. Virtualization is hardware based these days and you can use GPU passthrough with a VM. It doesn't degrade the performance if you make the effort to set up hw passthrough and use a decent hypervisor. Of course Windows is spyware, that's why people don't want to use it. But that's not the point, the point is that the anticheat can always have a vulnerability that allows attackers to execute code. And when it's a kernel level driver that gets hijacked it's even worse than if it's just a user level process. And this isn't something esoteric, Dark Souls had a RCE vulnerability and CS2 had some kind of XSS bug. Generally gamedevs are bad at security so I wouldn't trust them with kernel level drivers. Remember the copy protection on Windows 98 (no real security, everything can do everything) that eventually wrecked your system? That's what happens if you allow stuff like that. Nowadays you'd always want a principle of least privilege. And stop it with the reddit spacing.
@@ltxr9973 if there was a vulnerability in for example Easy AntiCheat it would be just as bad. It runs as admin so if there is an RCE any attacker can just disable anticheat and privesc to NT_AUTHORITY/System. Any RCE in any app running as admin has the same issue. An app running as an admin can just install a kernel level driver (or a rootkit to be precise). Game devs dont make the anticheats so does not really matter whether or not they know basic security. If you are so scared on RCE’s or other exploits you shouldnt install anything as recent events have shown that not even widely used open source libraries are safe. Oh and this is called proper typing. Sorry I’m incapable of writing incorrectly.

idk if its smurfing when all good players are getting -500pts in a row facing cheaters for 5 games and get back to 10-15k rating. the quality jump from 10 to 12k on my games is signifcant. Watching profiles, a lot of 12k and above were supreme and higher players. The Problem is the groups are not balanced so you can face a full global 5 premades vs 5 rnd silver to dmgs in one team
If they really cared about the game faceit anti cheat could be implemented in less than a week. The whole we are against Kernal acces makes zero sense when they already allow faceit to do it.
This is the type of problem Tekken 8 also has, while cheating there is less frequent there plugging is a big issue and the reason more and more people plug is because they are effectively unpunished. And if someone does it to you for "free" at one point a lot of players who play for rank get frustrated and start doing it. Unless they fix cheating in CS it will just create an endless loop until the game ends up being like Pubg where even if you have a 100% player in the lobby you will always question that one player guy who has a good day thinking they might be using some "soft hacks". This shit makes people have 0 trust and you either just quit playing eventually or end up being a cheater.

You need a dedicated server to confirm wins losses and save them, however Tekken is Peer 2 Peer because they dont wanna invest money into servers. Which was "okay" at best in Tekken 7 but now that the game has more micro transactions than a Gacha game its unacceptable. Unfortunately T8 is the only 3D fighter that has decent graphics and fun combat so not much you can do besides not playing the game once you get fed up.
Former hacks site mod here! Just so people understand, modern hacks operate through scripts written into Windows Powershell. The basic design is that the function only reads Counter Strikes data and does not alter it, making any detection software useless. Currently, there is no anticheat that can detect those kinds of scripts because Counter Strike has no way of knowing they’re there. These have existed for years, since CSGO and before. There are thousands of 2k plus hour players using them. The problem is not going to get better unless some sort of law gets introduced making it a crime to produce and utilize cheats.
From an machine learning point of view, this is golden. If everyone cheats that means more data to collect. The only issues I could see that could turn on its head; 1) if it only collects positives for cheaters, chances are it would be harder to prevent false-positives. And 2) If all cheaters are blatantly showing off the cheats, it could be more difficult to prevent rogue cheaters who are not as blatant (which are worse imo, since it's often based on a hunch and difficult to prove, even by humans). I am against driver-level anti-cheat for various reasons, but it is objectively right now the best way to detect cheats, unfortunately. It works the same way as a lot of anti-malware software, so it's closer to the source. But it also increases risks to end-user, compared to cloud-based solutions.
Honestly I feel like that. I grinded that shitty ass mode until I got 18k, then I saw more and more the players that go for 6 rounds losing, then out of nowhere they just become god. It’s just soooo frustrating

It is not very easy to define a code so that 5 people die without a scope and headshot, that account will be banned!
I agree there should be standard lines in the game like that. x is over y = insta ban.
You are not a coder... It's no that easy and valve has updated the vac in csgo multiple times
@7weco So why are thirdparty services able to do exactly what isnt so easy? I don't think you know what you are talking about mate. ESL and FaceIt has infinite times better anticheat than valve, which is shocking at best
@@whimseyOFC because valve has 'morals' and have said that they don't want to create a software that is like in valorant and faceit... so basically, they dont want you to give them acces to literally everything you have on your computer because they don't want to deal with the breaching of privacy. Dont play mm at all
yeah me and my cousin were managed to grind to 15k and it was unplayable already we switched to faceit but i quit the game after a few weeks fuck cs, insurgency is better.
true. when cs2 came out, as I was global elite in csgo, I basically did a speedrun to 21k and faced almost exclusively cheaters from then on, going all the way down to 15k. thats when things normalized and I played against other normal lvl10 faceit players and cs veterans just like me and managed to get some hard earned wins without a cheater on my team (boomer brain strats vs zoomer reaction times, the battle of generations can be a lot of fun) but as soon as I got close to 18k again, another wave of cheaters hits, usually those who are a little less obvious and only cheat to make sure they win when the match when you approach match point, or just have someone with a burner account in their lobby who calls for them with radar or esp, making sure they get silent perfect timings and push the weakest point or stack against number advantages.

Just wow
well valorant (or rather vanguard) is a spyware so damn right it should perform
Their policy is make shit ton of money but spend NOTHING, there was an interview of someone working at valve on the cheating problem, he told that budget allows him to work 1 week/month and this budget gets cut every 6 month..

Perfect video. Valve, please save our beloved game
keep asking im sure they care, People are have been making this same exact video since 1 mouth after cs2 came out.
They need to add a dedicated search queue for accounts with 5 or 10 year vet. Anyone who gets banned on that account ain't waiting those years to come again.
That would most certainly solve many things, the case of players with old accounts cheating is extremely low.

People forget csgo also reached this point back in 2014/2015, I think it's still worse right now but there was a time in csgos past where you'd struggle to find a game without a cheater especially in the higher ranks
AI anticheat seems like the best solution. This has to be solvable without kernel level access
8:49 If you hire a lot of new people at once for any software project you're heading for a catastrophy because you'd have a lot of people who only know bits and pieces about the project but are already working on it.

Plugging means remove connection to prevent lose? I remember that in FIFA back in the days lol
