    siempre me llamo la atencion esta version...me parecio buena----pero ahora viendo este video veo el entusiasmo y el cariño por darle ese toque latino.....se pasaron me parece rreeeffffuuuulllll.....estos son temas que hacen que mi SALSA la quiera cada dia muchhhiiiiissssiiiimmmmoooo MAS

    I think personally, that most of the sound of the hand drums are lost because of poor sound reinforcement. One overhead mic is not enough...

    this is Santana with the gloss stripped off....well except for very early Santana but you kids won't know what I'm talking about anyway, you had to have been there in the day.

      It sounds like late 60s early 70s Santana because Carlos Santana was influenced by Cuban music. Marc Ribot is interpreting the music of Cuban guitarrist/tresero/bandleader Arsenio Rodriguez. So Ribot and Santana kind of overlap. I like your description ("with the gloss stripped off"). I could never get into Santana that much because of the gloss. I can totally get into this band though.
