@@NoirFan77 So nice you really appreciate it so much. You might be this film's biggest fan in the world to rate it so highly. I have a list of my 8 all time favorite noirs and Force of Evil is not one of the eight. But maybe that will change someday.

Eddie Muller doesn't blow his own trumpet but is author of Dark City: The Lost World of Film Noir - acclaimed as best book on this genre (though Foster Hirsch's The Dark Side of the Screen) also up there. Muller's incisive intro expanded by the extras on Arrow's blu-ray release of Force of Evil. Yes beware as exploring Noir is addictive...
Who cares about books about Noir? How about making something more useful, like saving and restoring all those abscure lost films or bad prints from the 30s and 40s that we're dying to watch!
@@EasternRomeOrthodoxy Huh? Why the heck are you watching Noir Alley if you don't understand or apprecite the genre? There are plenty of resourses available for your intrests.

@@danjameson1572 It's my favorite film of any genre. The almost blank verse rhythm nails it for me.

Absolutely. My favorite film of any genre. Dig the nearly blank verse throughout. Love this scene, of many:
