This is very helpful... Thank you. I was wondering though... Is there a way to change the horizon panorama image as well? Like you do in Stellarium? It seems there is a way but instruction on the SN site are really not clear.
The absolute elevation of your location does not matter, what counts is the relative hight of the horizon compared to your location. So just follow the tutorial and you should be fine.
Hi, Is it possible to control a Celestron telescope mounting through this software ? if yes how can it be done, because I have searched a lot in UA-cam and did not find nothing.
Me neither... Quite honestly, the longer it goes, the less excited I am about this software. Since I bought it nothing was done - looks like the company completely abandoned the Starry Night brand and just works on their portable apps. It is really a shame. If you want to use it for Go-to, you Stellarium, works like a charm through ASCOM.
@@viewintospace I have tried Stellarium, but it run very very slow, any icon I click it takes 5 - 10 second to obey, I am disappointed with stellarium too. I use a MacBook (i5 core + 8G ram), is there any software configuration to speed up the performance ??
This guy's accent is Arnold light!

Yes, instructions are not clear..... very not clear..... so I also failed at this one 🤣
Excellent tutorial. My local horizon stands 3000 meters above sea level. How do you set the altitude in the panoramic view?
