    Second to none teacher. There are many great teachers on UA-cam but all second to this exceptional teacher. Learned more from this channel in a year then ten years at dogo.

    I don't have a dojo anywhere near me, and iaido and Kenjutsu have both been something I've always wanted to learn. I've had a bokken and a shinai for a while now, and recently was able to purchase an obi and hakama. I've finally started practicing what I can on my own for the time being, and this video is a constant reference for me as I'm getting started with the basics. どうもありがとうございます 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

    I just started iaido a few weeks ago. Leading with the left hand and making the whipping motion is so much harder than it looks. You're so precise and controlled. I hope I can get to your level some day

    Day two, I love working on Shiko with Makkou-Giri. The return to Saya really helps with improving. One issue is standing back up causes me to be dizzy because of low blood pressure. So I end up standing and breathing until dizzy head returns to normal before I start again.

    Day one, I begin my Iaido training with first 3 exercises and it was a lot. Tomorrow let’s see if I can do all. I know they are supposed to be easy, but I am newly minted 60 year old taking my sweet time 😝.

    Thank you for your video sensei. I have a question, what is the reason why we use left hand for power and right hand to navigate? What if I change position and functions of my two hands? Arigatogozaimasu!

    • @aristotle29
      @aristotle29 3 роки тому +2

      I don't mean to answer for him, but how I was taught was that your left hand isn't as good with finer motor skills (if you are right-handed), but is good for large motor skills. So using your right hand to guide makes for a more accurate cut, while using your left for power is easier because it only has to travel down your center and has less to do.

    I wish to ask one question. What is the Reason for yourself wearing White. Is traditional black kimono with black white striped bottoms formal dress for Samurai

    • @SAMURAIKAZARTS
      @SAMURAIKAZARTS  2 роки тому

      We usualy wear the color of dougi when we demonstrate at shrine or temple. White color means in Japan is to show that your mind is pure.
      And When you practice with white dougi. I can find your fix point than black color or something colors.
