Do not buy a CLA or GLC, a master mechanic from Mercedes told me this directly.
I thought glc was reliable
Smaller engined Mercedes even have Renault engines and bought in transmissions. It's not even a proper Merc.
KIA and HYUNDAI
It is both astonishing and infuriating to me that in 2024 car manufacturers still knowingly make vehicles which are unreliable and full of problems. This is exemplified by the Ford Bronco which frankly should be withdrawn completely from the market. Also, everything made by Chrysler is bad. Why are they still in business? Why is it so difficult for these companies to make reliable, long-lasting vehicles?
Lots of people buy for the look, they don't care about reliability and durability, much like marriage these days.
Why can't there be a car brand that has a 100% clean track record for reliability & never have a recalled vehicle for issues? Plz reply ASAP.
@@LuisUrbieta the law of diminishing returns dictates that there won't be any perfect automobile, that will continue as long as human is still calling the shots.
Oh ok.@@kevinw1090
@@kevinw1090Oh ok I get it now.
People these days are more worried about does it have a third row with heated and cooled seats,or does it have physical buttons,or it doesn’t have a panoramic sunroof,or sunshades. They get a brand new vehicle saying it’s the most reliable they have ever own and only have a few thousand miles then as soon as it has a problem they will be back to “it’s the worst car I’ve ever owned “complaining
I still remember times when Ford had a solid reputation for basic, inexpensive cars. 8-year old Escort with 120K miles was selling for $1250, 6-year old Taurus with 70K miles was selling for $3500. No twin tubos, no dual clutches, no cameras around, no AI-assisted air conditioners. Nothing to break, just turn an ignition key and drive. What Ford is now just breaks my heart.
I wouldn’t touch any of them. I’m a long time Honda owner and won’t switch!
And Toyota
Re: Nissan Rogue - I am old school and 1.5L 3 Cylinder turbo engine doesnt work with 5 year power train warranty. I had almost bought Nissan Rogue 2023 but pulled out at the last moment. I opted for Outlander instead with a more conventional 4 cylinder naturally aspirated engine and 10 years of power train warranty. I am happy with my choice.
I'm picking up a theme here. Maybe we should blame the CAFE standards that are forcing manufacturers to turbocharge small engines to compensate for the lack of displacement. I'm sure Toyota and Ford would be happy to go back to their much more reliable naturally-aspirated V8's.
We're not going back. They will continue to shove this down our throats.
Replace the trusted 5.7 V8 with a V6, what can go wrong? Ford and GM take note.
I went to a dealership yesterday and one of the car salesmen told me you that you can blame Biden for that. LOL
my 26 yo GM car is still running well..made in Australia so it makes a difference.
The Tundra is a shocker. I've even heard Toyota Dealers don't want them as trade-ins! YIKES!!!
The only cars ever l refused for trade-ins were Nissans with JATCO CVTs and VW Diesels.
Toyota's large-scale scandal, Tundra's engine problems AND fit and finish problems, along with frames on the new Tacoma's breaking. Wow.
The best channel on UA-cam! 👍
Thank you!
Thanks for the video!
Toyota really let their customers down.
Awesome stuff !! Thank you 🤟🤜🤛
Every time I watch new episode I get more and more motivated to start a channel that will analyze these videos and explain to consumers how much of brain pollution this is
MB GLA is the worst!!!!!
It will break your bank soon enough 😢.
Thanks for a great video 👍❤️.
HYUNDAI KIA are the close second.
................ Great and astute / REAL analysis...... congratulations!
I lucked out and bought one of the last Toyota Highlanders with the V6, although I didn't know at the time it would be replaced by a turbo 4. Then the Tundra V8 was replaced by a seriously problematic turbo V6, and the vehicle itself is still subject to frequent build quality issues two years into production. I'm quite concerned for the reputation of this company.
Great video Shari as always.
I agree with the NEW Toyota Tundra and probably add NEW Toyota Tacoma as well. These are complex Turbo engines just like those poor quality Ford Ecoboost and Honda Turbo engines.
The Nissan Frontier is a gem of a vehicle with that 3.8 V6 engine. Why wouldn’t Nissan use this engine on all their line up? Absolute nonsense.
Never thought I’d hear Toyota on a list for unreliable!
I agree with your list
Another great video Shari. Have you evaluated the Trax or Envista?
Yes I have! ua-cam.com/video/3FDxJrT4FSU/v-deo.html
@@carhelpcorner Thank you Shari 😀
Toyota has fallen from grace for reliability and quality build. this is the age we live in where profit comes before quality.
Corporate greed.
As for Ford and Stelantis/chrysler well they've had issues since they first opened they're doors.
Govt partially to blame here by forcing manufacturers to comply with environmental concerns regarding emissions and fuel consumption.
Most of the guilt belongs to the government, with its evil "green" regulations, forcing producers to get out of the old, perfected, reliable engines etc.
Do you have a video explaining why CVTs are bad. I hear everyone say not to buy them. *** just found it. What is your opinion on the new 2025 Chevy Equinox Activ? They have a front wheel drive with a CVT or AWD 8 speed.
CVT's have "BANDS" in Trans...they streach over time....Never buy!
Hybrid eCVTs are perfectly fine, but some CVTs in regular cars can have issues. Here's a video ua-cam.com/video/alzWij_-hpU/v-deo.html
Wow, your reviews are really good! Thanks
Thank you!
Hey Shari, can you make a video on the 2024/2025 hyundai tucson hybrid?
To top it off, Jaguar-Land Rover also have terrible dealers. They squirm around and use every excuse on the planet not to fix the car even within the warranty period. Their default position is to blame the owner for defects. A nightmare, some owners have literally had to go to court in order to get their cars fixed.
You're right about Nissan CVT's, they are garbage. My 2016 Rogue CVT went out and my friends 2018 Rogue CVT died too! Now the new ones have a 3 cylinder variable compression with a turbo? No Thanks! 👎
I'm just hoping my 2018 Rogue lasts another 3-4 years. I've had it since 2018 and so far the only repairs have been regular wear and tear. Ball bearings and Brakes. DId your friend change the Transmission fluid every 30K miles?
@@supamonkey7728 He didn't do his first change till 45,000 miles. I did mine at every 30,000, the CVT went out at 68,000. My friends went bad at 81,000. Do you have the extended warranty? I did, so at least I didn't have to pay for it! On the good side the rest of the vehicle has been really good, the motors we have in these seem to be doing really well, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. How many miles on yours?
You absolutely nailed the comment service after warranty expiration. Ford is by far one of the worst company when it comes to warranty assistance when the warranty expires. Ford and like many other manufacturers service is horrible.
You are absolutely correct. This is the exact reason why F150 is the most sold car on the planet for the last 20 years running, just terrible horrible company, pffft
@@dkrawk8309 most of those trucks are fleet vehicles and outside warranty within the first year or so. Try again on your insult.

@@lsj6721 I'm not sure what world u is from, but on planet Earth, Toyota has nothing to do with leading anything

Toyota Won’t buy back any Tundra’s and they don’t want you to trade them in either.
That’s pretty bad when an automaker doesn’t want their product back under any circumstances.
Yes, that's a sobering development, indeed.
What would you recommend for a single senior at a reasonable price?
Toyota Corolla 👌
Stick with Toyota and Honda. Yes, they have problems, but they are addressed most of the time. If not, pick a different model.
I’m really surprised that the Ford Explorer didn’t find itself on this list
The Toyota Tundra has clear issues (thus the recall), but there is no way that it is worse than a famous money pit from Land Rover & Jaguar (Indian, ex-British), Audi, Mercedes, Rivian, GMC, RAM, Lincoln, Chrysler or Chinese commies' clunkers (Volvo and MG included) etc.
30 grand for a engine..cmon kid wake up😂😂😂
@@RAM-KINGOFTRUCKS take it easy and don't fight the statistics.

Probably poor, driving a clunker and claiming their lemons are the best cars in the world 🤣
I never see Mitsubishi vehicles in your least reliable list. Does it mean they are good ones?
They have average reliability at best. The best vehicle they make is the Outlander PHEV.
The vids man. Planning on getting the CRV hybrid, but the 2025 version doesn’t look as nice. Should I wait till 2026 or maybe go for a used 2023?
where is KIA/HYUNDAI JUNK ? , they should be on the top of the list
Since the Jaguars have such crappy electrical problems now, then you know that their new EVs will be even more problematic
👍👍👍
I think it should be Law that Every dealership must have a plaque up stating Exactly what Consumer Reports and Edmonds say about the Reliability and Customer Satisfaction of every new vehicle they sell, in LARGE Print in Every Office of the dealership in plain sight, so that the buyers know exactly what their purchasing
We don't need the government controlling everything more than they do. People need to take responsibility and take advantage of the resources available themselves before spending the ridiculous amount of money for a new vehicle. BUYER BEWARE! If you don't do your homework ahead of time, shame on you.
@@dalet6250 Most people are too stupid to do research
Consumer Reports rates the Nissan Rogue as a recommended buy. It consistently rates high in dependability according to JD Power. And this youtuber states that it's junk.
@@TheBassetlover Nissan’s are normally a good choice, except for the Jayco CVT transmission..
Also some of Nissan’s use Renault parts because Renault owns 40% of Nissan
didn't you do this same video a few weeks ago?
I think it was different video but still the same car I guess 😅
Do you know percentage of new car buyers that keep it for over 5 years? I do 30%
If that's the case - the other 70% are people who love the smell of their own money burning!
wow
Shame on you Toyota.
You couldn't leave well enough alone.
Not Toyotas fault it’s the epa
@@hectorramirez5227 Exactly. And the short timetables set by the government is forcing manufacturers to send product to market without adequate testing. A development program properly run would take years, maybe even a decade, to work out all issues and subsequent re-designs. Now they must go with computer FEA's that say what they have should work and very minimal actual testing.
They can NOT ...as it is about emissions! Buy a LEXUS...*** Naturally Aspirated Engine Model & you are Gold!
All the other vehicles are to be expected; but the Toyota Tundra? How far has Toyota fallen
Blame the Government's woke, dumbass environmental mandates that appease the radical left.
EPA’s fault having all these companies switch to smaller engines and most of Toyota is solid it’s just this one that stands out
The BMW X1 has average reliability, so I wouldn't say it's not going to last beyond warranty. Despite its dual clutch transmission being jerky at low speeds, it's nothing like the Taos because it shifts smoothly and feels sporty. I know because my MINI has the same transmission. When it comes to any car these days it seems best to avoid a remodeled car for the first few model years. Even when it comes to Toyota. Let them sort all the problems out first.
................... & Average RELIABILITY is NOT the way to go...(if that were true) beeeemers are a tragic NIGHTMARE....You will find out ... Even the service (where all these Dog Euros make all the money is EXPENSIVE! My Lexus Oil & Filter change every three K are $75.00 & they even fill my gas tank...Wake up!
Jaguar is the least and worst reliable brand vehicle u can buy I don't care what anyone else says
My 2007 Ford Focus was the worst car I ever owned. I have a Honda HRV now which is better. The only decent Nissan is the Nissan Kick. It has always been a good car.
The Nissan Rogue has been rated very high in quality and dependability since the 2018 model year. I'm not sure why you are saying that it is unreliable. Where do you get your info on the engines? You say that "people have reported". Who are the people you are talking to? Every car brand will have people with issues if you look hard enough.
2023 and newer Rogues with the 3-cylinder are being investigated by NHTSA for engine failures as shown in the video. It's easy to search.
Wrong information about toyta tundra I think you never drive a toyta
I can understand why some companies are getting a bad rap for the reliability of their products. We ought not to forget, though, that they are all scrambling to meet governments new emission laws. Politicians and bureaucrats are driven by one thing: looking good in the fight against pollution.
Not just pollution but climate change too. Similar, but not exactly the same.
EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS HORRIBLE!!
Oh stop with this tundra bs I have one 2023 zero problems the engine was out for 3 years already in Lexus you don’t own one so stop the bs
