Lol
Same here😁
Sameeeeee
Luis Rosario sameeee
Love my Island. Was there this past November.
..flamenco beach...is one of the number 7 in the world best beaches..
I can see why!
I. Fact 3 beaches from Puerto Rico made the list at one point flamenco just below fiji and bora bora
I plan on visiting there in June.
Lori Troutman it’s worth going!! my family lives there. I go at least 2-3 times a year
Lori Troutman If you’re going in June, I suggest you go on weekdays. Going on a weekend in mid summer is going to be very very crowded!
Hey everyone, So I visited 6 countries in 2018 and Puerto Rico was definitely the best vacation of the year! :D You can watch all the Puerto Rico videos in this playlist : ua-cam.com/video/M-4SRi63gVQ/v-deo.html

Jumping Places Cabo rojo its a nice place
Glad you like our beautiful island...
is ours for you...
You practically did all my homework for me man. Will be there in a few weeks! Cheers!
Thank you for sharing, very informative! I plan to visit on December; haven't been since I was 9! I'm excited!
The potholes on the roads are not due to maria.
It is a thing...it is always a thing in PR
JSquare facts, its a goverment issue
FOR REAL😂😂😂😂
It's not a "Puerto Rico thing". If you go to Mexico, Dominican republic, Costa Rica, etc., you see the same thing.
Pendejo
None of our governments fixed the road holes... and they never will
This video was incredibly helpful. Thank you!
Thanks for the tips man! I really really enjoyed the video and learned of some great places! :) I'm going to Puerto Rico on honey moon in may!
Bro i love your videos keep up the great work. Very informative and helpful💯
YES!! Finally someone who ventures out of the San Juan area!!! Cueva Ventana used to be free until they privatized it. I find the entry fee excessive tbh. Love Playa Buyé and Crash Boat. A couple of weeks ago I went to Vieques and fell in love! You should visit the Bioluminescent Bay there! The tour guide told us it has a Guinness Record for how bright it shines!! Great video! Glad you enjoy the Island I call home! ❤️
You missed the bioluminescent bay!!! It's a natural glow in the dark bay!!! And no it's not radioactive... Lol
Yeah I didnt stay the night, was only a day trip.. next time!
I am definitely going there this summer
When I went it was a Full Moon, could not see anything
@@DavidrKun Rule #1 is to be aware of the moon phase, and plan accordingly. It's spectacular and almost magical when there is no to minimal moonlight. But you probably know that now.
@@kings17court I agree. Planning. However for us. We bought tickets for the price. Then found out about it after
From a fellow Texan & a new sub, thank you for your videos! They have really helped me plan an itinerary with things to see/do and what to expect when I visit next week! Keep on jumpin!
Awesome! Hope you have a blast dude!
From another Texan, your videos were indeed helpful in planning an itinerary. I did the same and watched the series of videos before traveling to PR last month. Was a big help.
Great video! Awesome videography! My wife and I toured Puerto Rico for our one year anniversary and I cannot wait to go back. The landscapes, the beaches, Carol, the water, all beautiful!
It is one hell of a place! So much beauty 😁
I honestly want to move there in the next year. If I never have to endure a Northeast Winter again it will be too soon. This Floridian needs sunshine and water and the only place I want ice is in the freezer
Thank you for all your videos on PR.. we can’t wait to go in May & you gave us tons to check out!!
Awesome! I literally loved every single place that I went to :D Your gonna have a blast!
Thanks so much for the video. I’m a single mom who is big on affordable travel destinations. I appreciate videos that include location names, prices and ways of transportation. This video was very helpful
Great job on your video! it was really informative and we really like to see the prices on most things before we go. thumbs up!
Thanks!
Love this, visited PR for the first time this year and it was so beautiful! ❤️🇵🇷
Thank you! Will be there with a group of 10 and you helped me out a great deal.
I have been to PR many times and your review was awesome and spot on!
Thanks man! Hopefully I can go many times in the future
Definitely agree with some of the comments below. Next time you guys come to PR make sure to hit some of us locals up because I promise you will experience Puerto Rico in a completely different way and you will fall in love. You were caught in the touristy places, activities and costs. But there are SO many amazing places, beaches, towns, activities, waterfalls, rivers, restaurants and many more things that you didn't get to experience. Also, food here is not really that expensive, you just need to know the right places to go to ;) So so glad you got to come to our beautiful paradise, and hope you come back some day.
Hi Karina. I'm definitely going to inbox you for advice whenever I decide to visit. 😊
Karina Reyes visiting in later May will really appreciate a list of local spots you are referring too
Karina give me some tips of places that are a must. I’m going in August with my mom and want her to enjoy P.R.
Well, you're the first comment I see about offering advice on this, I'm in Puerto Rico for work for the next almost two months, what are some of the best things I can do? I'm still kind of stumped on which part of el yunque to go into and where to park. But I also do really like quiet beaches with few people, if any.
Hey, Karina!
I plan to go there in the next few months.Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks for sharing and great seeing locals commenting and offering advise! I'm planning for 2020 and would love to relocate. Thought about moving to the USVI but I think PR is a better fit for me, especially the tax breaks for business
Going in September with a bunch of friends! Thanks for the info
This is so helpful. Thank you
Thank you so much for detailing some of the cost on a lot of the point interest of the island, not q lot of UA-camrs do this. Saludos from Pennsylvania and hope to see a vid of you in the Dominican Republic 👍
This video was by far the most helpful in my search. Thankyou so much!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION ... ONE DAY I DO A TRIP .
very helpful information. Thank you.
Thank you Chris! Very helpful 🌟
It’s incredible how I’m from Puerto Rico and haven’t been to some of the places you mentioned! Excited to visit them thanks for the list and prices
Going in January what do you recommend ?
I'm going over spring break! This is so helpful!
Glad it helped!
It’s so fun to see people explore Puerto Rico when u r from there and know every single part of the borinquen
I'll be using your Airbnb code thank you in advance 😊 can't wait to go to flamenco beach it'll be my first time on a plane and going outside the states 😁
Thanks for using the code, enjoy the discount! Your gonna love the trip 😍
Great suggestion on the offline map. Thanks!
Super helpful info!! THANKS!!!
Nice overall trip! I'm always happy to see people visit more then just the touristy area. && I agree that to be able to explore the island we have to spend a little more then we want, but there are a lot of cheaper options around. Like other commenters said, when you visit PR, you gotta befriend some locals they will point you to financially comfortable places.
Loved your videos! I am going to PR on Saturday for 10 days. And I can’t wait!
Awesome! Hope you have a great trip.
How was your experience, honest opinion ?
Great travel video man!! Very useful!! 💪😁
Definitely should try and befriend locals BEFORE you go. They know all the spots to hit. My lady is Puerto Rican, who has family there, so we visit often. I eat a lot at the beach. Alcapurrias are my favorite foods there. There are so many beautiful hidden gems, but you definitely need a car. Let me know when you are going back.......
Yeah everyone said about making friends with the locals first :D would have been helpful for sure! Will let you know :D
But how do you do that without visiting first?
Jumping Places you’ve got a friend now :) hit me up next time you’re here!
@@dalepigoldmansurf2281 I'm going in Dec. Any local tips you're willing to share would be appreciated
and gotta stay for 2 weeks or more. Can't stay for a week.
great info. thanks mate.
Good honest report for the time allowed. Tourism in puerto rico has ALWAYS been an expensive proposition. However, proper planning can save you a ton and make it a worthwhile.
Very informative video. I plan to go visit soon and now I have a lot of great suggestions from the video🤗
Thanks for watching! Glad it gave you some ideas
An amazing source of information for things to do and places to go, is PuertoRicoDayTrips.com.
Anniversary in PR in 2 weeks!!! Thanks for this tidbit!!!!
Awesome... wonderful place. Great work.
First comment 😏 Nice video man, Can't wait to go back to my Island ❤️
Thanks man! when do you go back?
Welcome! I'm going on February 27th for 2 weeks, i want to do some snorkeling it's been 6 year's since the last time I went
Thank you so much, super helpful
Heading there in June for our 25th Anniversary. Thanks for the tips.
Glad you found it helpful 😁
Me too! With my GF! What's the cheapest places for hotels/places etc
sick video we went to puerto rico last year and loved it
Yeah it was the dream vacations, every single day was awesome
Big shout out to thank you Chris and Carol for the island insights. Well be using your PR "Trip Tips" during our visit🐓🐟🌴

Thank you for the great video. I used it as a guide for my first, recent trip to PR. I absolutely loved PR. I went to some of the same locations, but did not have enough time for all of them. I am already scheduling another trip for next March. I can't wait to get back to those beautiful beaches and the wonderful people of PR. What a paradise.
how do you find local places? thanks in advance
Great videos! Another location to check out and get immersed into the PR culture is GUAVATE. Located on South 52 about 30 min south of San Juan. Weekends are the best were you can experience live bands, dancing, and whole pigs on a spit.
Thanks for visiting PR. If you want to find cheap breakfast or meals, you can buy them at any bakerys or caffeteria.
Hotels are very expensive, and the pricing I got from Airbnb wasn't too much of a difference.
I stayed at a Hyatt place in a town called Manati for a week, then an Airbnb for a week at Cerro Gordo Beach in a town called Vega Alta.
I use Yelp on the Island to find new restaurants. Best time for food is during lunch time (lunch specials) eat local. Stay away from fast food and just enjoy your self.
Thanks for the tips!
Staying in San Juan the 9th through 16th, your videos have really helped me plan my itinerary. Thanks a bunch, look forward to your future videos.... you really do excellent production, not sure what you do for a living but I bet you could make a bunch of money editing videos for people! :]
Thanks! glad that it helped! will you be doing some of the things that I did? Thanks also for the comment about my editing, it is nice that you noticed that :) I currently do I.T work in the Oil & Gas industry so nothing editing related yet lol
If you want to have a tour of San Juan metropolitan area and not drive take the Tren Urbano(urban train) its 11 miles long (one way)and goes from Sagrado Corazon station in Santurce (a district of downtown San Juan) all the way to Bayamon(city part of the metro area) and you will be able to see different areas of the San Juan metro for $1.50 one way. Also if you want to party and drink cheaper in San Juan go to La placita in Santurce district(San Juan) where you can find a bunch of places to eat ,bars and clubs. Also you can go to Calle Loiza where you can find many bars and its not so far from Condado Beach hotels. Enjoy your trip! 👍
Ya, I'll be doing several things you did... here is a google map with a bunch of the things were going to try to do : www.google.com/maps/placelists/list/qrDPQbG1F6ouk0hxmDtEsKgw-f3ZNA?hl=en going to go to culebra and vieques, a day in osj, a day on east and a day on the west, then a day in the center to see the radio telescope, window cave and river tubing/caving , maybe rent atvs, maybe rent mini boat, maybe gilligan's island. Super excited, a week is not gonna be enough! I do IT consulting myself. A long time ago I helped setup the asset management system for the company Schlumberger (oil industry). Going to be looking at investment properties in Luquillo and Fajardo as well! Keep up the good work, thanks again.
I am excited for you! haha Yeah even 8 days wasn't enough for me, I want to go back!
@@ChrisRing101 Aguadilla, Rincon, Dorado, Cabo Rojo(Boqueron,Combate,Joyudas,Buye or Las Salinas) and Isabela are also places to invest right now because they are getting popular and they have a decent amount of ex pats living there.
awesome video ty
Thank you for all of the information. I am planning on taking my wife there for her birthday.
Awesome! Soon?
Great video. Very informative. Do they have alot of food stands for cheap foods? Will be going there in a few weeks.
yes a lot they called it chinchoros very good food
Your content for old San Juan area is fantastic!
My wife and I are booked on a Royal Caribbean cruise for mid January 2020 and by no means are cruise vacation cheap. So anyway we can save money on shore excursion is a plus and your channel is just what the doctor ordered.
Unfortunately, our ship is scheduled to dock at 3pm, which is unusual when in past cruises we docked at 7am. That said, this time around, we can't take advantage of your recommendation to spend a day at CULEBRA - PARADISE IN PUERTO RICO (PLAYA FLAMENCO). However, we plan to use your Puerto Rico vlogs for future visits because we cruise the Caribbean every other year and Puerto Rico is always be in the itinerary.
Going forward, "Jumping Places" will be part of my vacation planner. Great content for budget mined vacationer and look forward to more tips in your future travels....Thx ✌
You are and amazing cuople , God Bless !!
Nice informative suggestion.
For the food, find a cheap looking "chin-chorro" with metal sheet roofing, tons of food for low price and watch "Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations" Airbnb for stay, if your budget is tight?, stay away from San Juan tourist areas, you missed Icacos Island, Boqueron Beach, There's also the Camuy Caverns and SETI (worlds largest radio telescope) in Arecibo.
Great video we're going in May
Awesome, you are going to love it!
I'm Puertorican and have lived all my life in my beautiful island (I'm 53). It's just a fact that tourism here is expensive. But I also have to point out that there's much more to see and do here in comparison to other Caribbean islands. And all within the reach of a few hours from San Juan, so you can make a round trip the same day to any place or decide to stay overnight in any area if want to explore more. Welcome!
I saw all the videos from PR Love it!!! Also which Camera you have? because is amazing all the underwater shot.
GoPro hero 6 but recently upgraded to the 7 which is wayyy better
@@JumpingPlaces Thank you so much!!! 😊
Yes...the car rental quote you get online from the US almost doubles once you get there and the rest of the fees are added.
Yeah crazy!
You need to go to guavate for food if you want a place to chill. They have kareoke and all that fun stuff ...also you can try beaches in vega baja area there very nice
Thanks for the tips! Yeah some other people recommended Vega Baja also. If I go again I will definitely check it out
You definitely need to explore the island with people that know...It has lots of food places with fair prices. Some roads have potholes, you had to use the highways. PR also has fast food places everywhere even in the malls which are cheap.
AirBnB is expensive in PR now. Food is way more expensive now too. Thanks for showing PR to the rest of the world. Happy travels and stay safe. God bless you guys👍🏿.
Puerto Rico does have transportation, buses. You just have to know where the bus centers are, there's also a train in an area and trolleys. There is parking in San Juan, I use to leave my car in Doña Fellas parking all day for $5 only. You have to go with someone that knows the island's systems...
god bless you i love your spiritual aura
Great content.
The Panaderias (BAKERY) offer huge delicious sandwiches with pan boricua for good prices and many have delicious home cooking featuring traditional dishes (arroz con habichuelas, platano, pinon, serenata, lechon, pollo al fricase, etc) . Every town has at least one, look for the sign Panaderia and also BAKERY. Try them out!
Everything we sell in Puerto Rico we can't get from any country. Everything goes first to US and then to the island. So, because of that since everything is imported from US, its expensive for us, so we charge higher.
Good video thanks
Very informative
Well the water was kinda there there in San Juan . The most blue is in Lajas. Like going to Cayo caracoles
I am going next week I am excited
Depending where you're staying, in San Juan, Santurce, Condado metropólitan area, public transportation is the cheapest way to get around IN the metropolitan area. Less than $2 for a bus with AC. And you get to see some details of the city that you would otherwise miss by driving /paying attention to the road. And no worry about finding parking.
**El tren urbano (Urban train) is also a cheap way to explore the metropolitan areas. And some of the stops are connected to bus terminals.
But yea, you defenitly need a rental to get around the island.
Thanks for the info!
Thank you for the great information! Do you think it's more expensive to go in the Summer? You mentioned you were there in November.
I imagine it will be but not sure.. I did go on the thanksgiving week though so not sure if that bumped priced up also
Come in early August i have an airbnb on Culebra!
Im going soon, taking my acoustic n jamming some rock n country, first thing i wanna do is feel out a few locals and do none of the touristy crap, hopefully a fellow musician will see me lounging beach side jamming, ehhh im sure of that haha
Man We had a spot for $17 a Night. I rented the Whole House one time for $30 a Day. in Aguadilla on AirBNB and it was closet to the Airport, Also It was about 15 Minutes to Crash Boat. Our Rental Car was also under $25 a day. They took care of us when we landed and we picked up the car and was on the road ASAP, under 15 minutes to our room. I have family out there so getting cheap food was easy. Plus we had Coffee every morning at the Airport in Aguadilla. It was a 30 Minute Drive to Rincon and all the Beaches to see the Sunset. Deals are there and Know where to stay is on the West side. Staying on the East side cost more and is not a safe place at night. Glad you had a great time out there. We did the Sailing Catamaran for about $80 per person. Best 6 hours with unlimited Drinks and Food. Even got a chance to sail the ship myself. It was great.
David Rosario I wanna go to Puerto Rico! So glad to see someone saying it’s not that expensive. what’s the best part to visit?
Good video!
This video is so helpful, thank you so much for sharing this info. What would you recommend for car rental company? I’ve some research, all the one with decent price, all have terrible reviews. Just want to know if anybody have a good recommendation in San Juan thank you for you time!
I'm from Puerto Rico I grew up in caguas and they are way cheaper ways I go back home at least 3 times a year with my wife and 3 kids I rent a car and hotel and it doesn't cost a lot need to look for deals look like you missed out on good food in old San Juan by the. cruise
port etc....good video thanks for the video
Hey there! Thanks for the reply. How much can you usually get a car for and a hotel for? Is the hotel in the touristic areas?
@@JumpingPlaces i stayed at caribe Hilton but due that they closed I be staying in intercontinental I cost I bet more 150 to 280 per night when I go alone I stay at esj or coral by the seas at 50ish a night also only rent a car from dollar or Payless for 12 to 18 day and tool pass 5 day no insurance
dang I iPhone typing dumb I will send u a msg when home at my comp
Woah well it seems i definitely got screwed on the car rental, I booked it on Expedia and im sure they have their own taxes. Do you just book it when you arrive or before?
Please give me details. I will love to know your take on it
You have too go to little Cilebrita island . Take a water taxi. There H2O nice speed boat ride a 30min. A beautiful beach there call Turtle beach. You miss that island on this video.
Nice views and great video, cueva ventana use to be free but people start vandalizing the cave thats why they start charging.
You are a beautiful couple.
Unfortunately potholes have always been a problem, for decades, but they got worse after Hurricane Maria.
Btw, they charged you too much for cueva Ventana, last time I went they charged me $5 at the entrance and it was for maintenance, but I know it has become a popular place in the last decade and the land owners are making a profit out of it.
The correct pronunciation for Fajardo is as if it was spelled with an H instead of a J.
Thanks! Yeah I forgot that in Spanish a J is H sound haha. How long ago did you go to cueva ventana?
Monica Marrero yes they charged a lot to tourist. In La cueva del Indio, en Islote Arecibo they have 2 prices. One for tourist and one lower price for locals :(
Great info any ideal on the west side of ports rico to rent something on the beech say January Feb and March
Very nice informative video. The best way to travel around Puerto Rico cheaper its to go during the low season(outside the Winter season) ,make local friends online and when you get there they can take you to the coolest places(some places are very secret and only locals know) we go to for free or cheap, we also know the way around
To skip paying to enter some beaches 😉..also to best way to get to know the island its to circle the island and spend the night in a motel(a place you park your car inside a garage and you open the door and you inside your room) you pay for 8 hours and some are fancier than others. Although some people use these places for "quickie" lol but some use them just to rest for the night and continue driving when they wake up. Then when you finish circling the island you can explore the center of the island using the panoramic route, a network of small highways that take you from east to west or viceversa and you can drive through some of the tallest mountains in the island and see some amazing views. Also the southeastern part of puerto rico its the least travelled by tourist but its amazing and very tropical. Also as an update they started in Puerto Rico the largest road upgrades in decades and they are going to be covering all the main highways around the island and many of the secondary ones as well So may be if you come back it will be a smoother ride driving. lol 👍😂😉
Motel tip was great and funny haha would have never thought of that but good idea! Awesome that they are fixing the roads, was that damage caused by maria or were there always many pot holes anyway?
holes werte there mariaa waater aggravated the issue, greetings from PR!
Thanks for the info Ricardo!
Hey, the island went through a rough economy path for several years, money was being used only for the essentials. Highways started deteriorating fast and puerto rico weather doesn't help either, Maria was what made them worst. Now they just started investing almost 700 million repaving most of the main and secondary highways and Also some private and goverment partnerships to build and extend some highways. So in 6 months it should be smoother to drive there. 😉
Hey Maria how do you make friends from Puerto Rico online?? Lol I’d like to do that!!
Beautiful place
Sure is!
Hello, What was the viewpoint called where you got to see the forest's entire landscape called, if you don't mind me asking?
Do you think that November is the best time to go, I’ve never been around that time ?, looking to go when less people are around.
I rethink about staying or doing a y reservation in San Juan, you can go near and pay less. Also be friends with locals so the y can give you tips. Puerto Rico si my hometown and locals stayed away from touristic areas.
Yeah you are right, thanks for the tips my friend
Hey if you want cheap places to eat we have a lot of those places but not in the turist areas even there you can find one. one more thing puerto rico have more to see, 78 munisipal territories and all of them have something to see and visit. We have places like rivers, local liquor store call chinchorros with local fried food, beer and other things, waterfalls, lakes, lighthouses, in toro verde forest (green bull forest) we have 3 mega sip lines one more bigger than the other, In one word a lot. Hope visit us again and have a diferent experience.
I'm going to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands in June and was planning to go to San Juan first for 2 days/1 night . Will that be enough to see Old San Juan? Should I rent a car or just take taxi from the airport? How much would taxi cost? Thanks.
