- It comes with great sadness to share the news of the passing of our much loved Endangered red panda, Tilly.
She was part of our Hertfordshire Zoo family since arriving from Zoo de Beauval in 2012. After battling age related heath issues she passed away peacefully on Tuesday 9th April.
Tilly was immensely loved by all and will remain in the hearts of the team and visitors who met her. 🐾

Aww bless her... We were only talking about her at the weekend. We visited the Bristol zoo projects and we were telling a keeper about her and the fact she had the baby after her partner died. Sending love to all the keepers who looked after her.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I only met Tilly once, when I came to feed the red pandas for my 18th birthday present (in 2014) but still I think of that day fondly and all the red pandas that were there then have a special little place in my heart ❤
