It is not Act who are rewriting the Treaty. It has already been rewritten by the Waitangi Tribunal by inventing the fictitious principals. All Act is doing is wanting it brought back to the original wording.

You obviously haven't actually looked at the Treaty of Waitangi to say that Act is returning to the original wording. Act like the institution of European styled government in NZ has been doing it ever since the signing of the Treaty. The 'principals' of the Treaty is a 'reinterpretation' of the Treaty which aims to rewrite history and the The Treaty to benefit Pakeha further at the further expense of Maori. Do some in depth reading rather than pulling 'truths' out of thin air.

Our ancestors arrived in different boats,but we are all in the same boat now, as a non part Moari tax paying New Zealander, I have always had trouble understanding how successive governments always say that there's no money for hospitals, there's no money for schools, there's no money infrastructure (water, roads, etc) but never have I ever heard a politician say that there's no money for the Treaty of Waitangi, as a Country we cannot afford a never ending grievance industry that is the at the heart of the part Moari people's interpretation of this so called founding document. The sooner governments stop pandering to a violence threatening minority, the sooner they'll have the money needed for the things that are important to EVERYONE.!

@@HabitualFixation FYI The word "Aotearoa" does not appear in the Treaty of Waitangi which you may find surprising. The reason is Maori tribes prior to European settlers(and after) were often at war with each other. There was no united country to call by any name. "Aotearoa" historically mean North island as that was the first land spotted. South Island tribes never referred to their lands as Aotearoa.

If you want a properly functioning "one nation", you must include other cultures, languages, governance, and legal structures in decision-making.
