Daniel, if you want a Timeline Bank 56A and Space Preset 17 then this is totally possible. The MK3 is not concerned with what a unit/pedal calls its presets (i.e. Timeline Bank 56A and Space Preset 17). All the unit/pedal is looking for is if the controller is telling it to change to something. As long as you can set the individual pedals to there own MIDI channel then they can be independently changed from one another. In addition, if you do have pedals like the Eventide Factor pedals, and they are both set to the same MIDI channel and both are switching to the same BANK/PRESET, you can still setup the pedals to change to different BANKS/PRESETS. This is accomplished through what is called MIDI Mapping. MIDI Mapping is an internal setting in the pedal that allows you to assign a preset from a different location in that pedal to the BANK/PRESET that you want. So, that means that if both pedals are at BANK 1/PRESET 2, you can map both of them so that BANK 1/PRESET2 for the Time Factor is the sound taken from BANK 10/Preset 1, and the same would apply for any of the other Factor Pedals. Hope that helps.
Hello sir I just bought a mk3+ I have a question for you about midi possibilities. I wsnt to run the channels of my Brunetti xlr evo 120w Amp with the mk3. To set midi on my amp i normally have to hold few second the button of the channel and it's store on the midi controller (u have a tech 21 mongoise right now). The Brunetti'midi is omni mode. The manual of of the mk3 is quite confusion for me and I am wondering if it will be as easy as just explain or I will have to do another manipulation ? Thanx in avance
So, as long as each midi controlled unit is assigned a different channel, you can have a preset on the MK3 that calls up a preset on multiple units/pedals even if they aren't the same bank and preset? Each demo I've seen shows both pedals being controlled changing the same pretexts and banks (both go to say Bank 1, preset B). What if you want a Timeline Bank 56A and Space Preset 17? That's possible, correct?
I'm running my 2 h9's with the bypass at DSP + FX and it's not in any of the loops of the musicomlab. It's switches all my presets just fine but it cuts the trails of both h9s (delay & reverb). Is there something I need to change with in the pedal or is it the musicomlab? Thank you for your help.
Delay trails are usually a setting within the pedal itself. If you are not looped into the EFX, then that's almost certainly what it is. It looks like when switching presets on an H9, that there's not an option for trails. Only when you go to bypass. Found this from an Eventide staff member: "The H9 doesn't do this. We call this feature Spillover on the Space and Timefactor (as opposed to DSP+FX bypass which preserves delay trails when going to bypass, which the H9 does do)." I bet if you manually switched presets on the H9 (as opposed to with midi from the EFX) it would still lose the trails. Which stinks. Hope that's helpful!
Hi there!, i have the strymon timeline , mobius and bigsky but i'm having big probem when i try to sep it up and make presets , could you tell me how do i program the mkiii so that when i step on ps1 i get the tone i want on the timeline, mobius and bigsky?, i'm very confuse and i cant use my pedal board. the midi through is on for all three pedals, will appreciate you help
hey Greco Greco, I realize I'm about a year too late here... but did you get it figured out? Looks like Ron Kauffman below described it pretty well. The simplest way I can explain the midi control piece when using multiple pedals is like this: - the EFX sends a midi signal - let's say it sends "ch1" - on each of the pedals, "ch1" means whatever you tell it to mean. (meaning it's assigned to the preset you tell it) -- on the timeline, ch1 might be a dotted eighth preset on bank 9, preset 1 -- while on the mobius, it's a preset on bank 1, preset 2 -- and on the big sky, it's bank 80, preset 1 all of the pedals receive the same "ch1" command. Where you assign it on each pedal it is up to you. As far as configuring midi on the pedal side, you'll want to consult the manuals for each of those pedals. I've not had much interaction with Strymon gear sadly. I hope that helps!
If you have them setup in a loop channel, then no. I would recommend placing effects like reverb and delays (anything with a trail) after the looper, and still controlling preset changes via the midi connection.
Or maybe I can create a preset on my delay with no delay at all, and use that as a "blank" preset. Then via midi i can recall that preset and have the trails.

Yes. I own a Musicomlab as well and I do this with 3 different MIDI pedals.
I have it set up sequentially, but yes you can assign to different banks
Great vid! Thanks
I have the same pedals, my question is how did you do the routing with cables between the three of them?

Oh and I'm using the same presets on the Eventides, all I'm changing on the musicomlab is different overdrives, compression etc.

Are you still using the muiscomlab?
Yes sir I am still using the Musicomlab, though I've sold off my pedals that are midi controlled so I'm really just using it as a programmable looper.

Dave, yes I am.
Does the MusicomLab MKIII have delay/reverb trails when switching from one preset to another?
