I have 23000kms on my 23 Nightster Special love the bike . I changed the mirrors. Fitted a Sundowner seat Fitted Forward Controls which for a long I didn't like due to rear brake failure .This Problem has now been resolve after 5 attemps . Dealer was not bleeding the rear brake correctly . Had mini apes for awhile have gone back to the stock bars because sitting up straight makes steering too lite and leverage with high bars makes it want to wheelstand all the time . Good Review Enjoy your bike
I am a lady biker and I wish bikes still came from the factory with lots of chrome. I am not taken with muted blacked out bikes. I would like to know what brand boots you are wearing and were you purchased them? Also, thank you for a well thought out review. I am rather disappointed with many female motorcycle reviewers. Often it is obvious that they may be a bike owner…..but they are not really bikers.
Remember people you are the only one who has to love what you ride, that’s why we have choices. In the end it’s just about getting the wind in your face and that feeling of freedom.😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
I bought a 2024 Harley-Davidson Nightster a few months ago. I now have about 1,200 miles on it. I'm thinking about trading it in for either an Indian Sport Scout or Triumph Bobber. The Nightster has many good features that I appreciate, but it also has some issues. First, the good stuff: It's light, has a low center of gravity, the seat is very comfortable as is the riding position. In addition, I also like the belt drive and no maintainance hydraulic lifters. The things that bother me are a long throw clutch lever that requires too much force, somewhat clunky shifting, erratic throttle response at low RPM and the sound. It came with a muffler that was way too quiet so I replaced it with an S&S muffler. Now the bike is loud enough but it still doesn't sound good, just louder. In comparison, my 2022 Triumph Bonneville sounds wonderful with the stock mufflers, the clutch is light and short throw and shifting is perfect every time. I'm really not sure what I want to do because riding the Nightster on the right type of road is a lot of fun, but getting through stop and go traffic to get there is not fun at all.
I just bought a Honda Rebel 1100, it's got everything the Harley has, and for 1000's less. True it doesn't have A belt drive. But it doesn't have the Harley problems and Honda stands by there bikes, more then I can day for Harley.
Don’t know anything about Harley belt drives but the belt looks out of alignment. It’s not centred on the rear sprocket? Thanks for all the videos. Very good!
Does it come with heated grips from factory? I saw the button for it on your video. That would be 1 less thing id need to add. This bike is loaded with features I like. I want to get the Harley 10 inch mini apes but with those 5 inch risers it puts it about 2 inches higher than I want so if I can find some shorter risers or just find some 8 inch mini apes that would be perfect.
@@anthonyfanella6523 Thank you for that information. I am so on the fence with this bike. I like so much about it but also hate some things about it that are hard to overlook like the total price, the messy left side, that dang exhaust is hideous, the lack of aftermarket especially for exhausts and all that plastic in the front. I may be able to overlook all that if it were like $12k out the door for the Special. It offers alot but I just can't fall in love with the looks and there isnt much you can do to change the looks in aftermarket. I wish they would do an update on this bike to refine some of those things that are very common criticisms.
Almost bought this bike if it weren't for the hideous left side, and the fact that the dealer wanted almost 16K out the door. But it really is a fun bike.
The engine looks like air compressors. Well at the least the V-twin engine isn't completely blacked out. Which seems to be a popular theme amongst V-twin manufacturers. It's as if they're some what embarrassed that they are still making internal combustion engines. Which they don't have to be embarrassed about. 🏍️
Liquid cooled, oh yeah baby wait until you sit in traffic on a blistering hot day and that fan blows searing hot air on your shins, you won't have to shave 😂

That tank logo looks like it's harking back to Harley Davidson's days as part of AMF..

You can dress the bike up alot . I put the Crome Exhaust shield on mine make a big different to the overall look

It needs a front fender extension, otherwise your radiator is going to get blasted with gravel. It's nice it's got a Six-Speed.
HOPE THERE IS SOME 3RD PARTY MAKER OF COMFY SEATS LIKE THE HAMMOCK SEATS FOR 2 UP 11
I like it, looks surprisingly practical and not exceptional heavy by harley standards, definitely needs a bit more noise.

OPTIONS FOR TOP BOX OR PANNIER BOXES ?

The bike comes standard with the button, but you have to buy the actual grips as extra.

NO OPTIONS FOR TOP MOUNT MIRRORS ?

That exhaust! Looks like a vacuum cleaner....:/
5'4" VS 6' IS A BIG DIFFERENCE IN PEGS, FITTING ETC. THEN HOW DOES ANOTHER 65 KG PASSENGER FEEL ON IT ?
Nice review, thanks👍 but jeez that bike is so ugly on the left side, what were they thinking?
The barrels look like a pair of robots. Bring back the pushrods or change the barrels design.
vous etes sublime .
COULD HAVE EASILY ADDED A 5 GAL TANK (15L -16L) THAT WOULD LOOK BETTER !
That drive belt needs to be properly centred.
YOU CAN'T HAVE FORWARD CONTROLS ?
Needs buckhorn bars
Lol licence plate looks like a sail 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Downright untidy on the left side.
Yeah, rather too much plastic for my liking
Liquid cooled, oh yeah baby wait until you sit in traffic on a blistering hot day and that fan blows searing hot air on your shins, you won't have to shave 😂
Looks like they still haven’t built the left side of the bike
This isn't your dad's Harley
If you want a Harley save 10 grand and buy a real Harley like a 1200 sportster instead of something that looks like it was built by Honda.😎👍
Doesn’t that suggest that Honda have got it right and that HD have lost their way a bit.
@@MattTofield yeah, Hondas are really very popular.
🤡
GET OFF THE BIKE FOR FUEL.!! WHY NOT SIDE CAP LIKE BMW HAS DONE !
I think this needs to be a bigger heavier bike!
