Alien? or A lien? OR Neil A Armstrong yeah? Reverse Neil A. The strong arm. It’s Saturn Saturday nizzle. Funk da haters. Saturn is in Aquarius and the Sun in Pisces right now. Monday the Equinox. Know what’s up? Cause dats what’s up. Ninja. Man I give up on dubstep. The fuck I don’t understand how you make it. Like do you have another regular bass that carries a progression going on then you layer a bunch of random bass wubs and wobbles and laser like sounds on top of it? It’s like no matter what I watch soon as I get on my DAW I can’t come up with sh1t when it comes to dubstep music.

That over tone technique will be so useful, i struggle often witb trying to change tonal type pitch, but often have to resort to changing the root a semitone or two

I think most of it was written in 3 sessions or so. And then another session to do a final mix/master on it. I write very fast!

This is really tasty! One thing though! Have you tried the moving bell EQ trick for wubs? But... How do?? I tell you how do. Place an EQ on an instrument, set the out gain to -6 and the scale to 150%. Then pull up a bell curve and audition the sound to see where a boost in the wub sounds good. Then automate the full range of gain on that EQ node to be synchronized with your LFO movements. To make my life easier I usually just switch the mapping of all of the LFO modulations to Macro 1 inside Serum, group Serum and all the audio effects into an instrument rack, assign macro 1 in Serum to macro 1 on the rack, and then assign the gain from the EQ to the same macro on the rack without messing with it's mapping parameters in the rack. I have found that this gives me some really great results and it kinda cranks the wub to it's max! And if you wanted to you could even throw on a glue compressor with the soft clipper and just turn up the gain until you get a pleasant degree of distortion. BAM. Tutorial dropped!
