Tried this and it worked out great! I went to the hair salon earlier and they didn't give me the layers that I wanted. Did this to get more style and it worked out awesome! Thanks for the tutorial!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH! This video was so helpful! I've just cut my hair, and it looks amazing! I've cut my hair before, but it always turned out to be a disaster... But now I look like I've just been to the hairdressers'. Summing things up: thank you for teaching and inspiring me, and us all! Lots of love! :)
The easiest way my hair was ever layered: put your head upside down and comb your hair, then cut straight across. I used to do it on my barbies all the time
I watch all your videos, even ones like these, which wouldn't work since I have pixie cut hair. But, I love how you teach others to do things, it's helpful and fun
Amazing tutorial! I'll never go back to the salon again, my hair turned out great! At first I was nervous but I took it slow and I really like it. I made some adjustments since my hair isn't that long but it turned out really nice! Thanks again!
Thanks, this is super helpful! Since I started college I've been too broke/lazy to go somewhere to get my hair cut, it usually just grows out super long until get a chance to do it when I go back home. Definitely trying this! Love your videos! :)
I want to try this, but I have curly hair and it takes forever to grow and so I'm afraid to mess up already not pretty hair cut. So I'll just cheer you on for this awesome haircut, your hair is so pretty!
I'm a hairdresser, and even though I never learned it this way, it seems so much easier, quicker and better, if ur not a hairdresser that is:D Well done on how to easy cut ur hair in layers for those who wants to do it them selves!
i went to the hair dressers today and told them to cut one centemeter from my tips, layer my hair an recut my bangs, but they took away way to much from the actual lenght :((! I was so upset, because i was growing my hair for three years now. Just now i saw your video in my subscribtionbox and i decidet to do the job myself the next time !! thank you so much
This was a really helpful explanation- I might try it on myself to save 60$ on a stylist that knows what she's doing (if I'm going to go to someone who doesn't know what they are doing, I'd rather it be me!). Thank you!
Omg yea! I love the look of having short layers than BAM! Long hair at the back. People wonder a lot and a lot of my friends get so shocked when they walk behind me and see how long my hair actually is because they face me so they only see the shorter layers haha
When thinning out your main hair bit (the longest part) you should use the scissors at an angle like / rather than _ if that makes sense~ it'll blend in a little better (:
Can you please please PLEASE teach us the correct way to thin out our hair using thinning shears? I can't seem to find a good tutorial, and I love how you thin out your hair! (: Love your videos,
Well, my suggestion would be to use dry shampoo in the days between washing. It removes oil (without completely stripping your hair dry) and leaves your hair smelling fresh :) You can see her using it in her Girl's Generation Gee Hair Curls video as well!
Wow u make it look so easy! Wish my hair was that easy to cut but I got long curly hair. I have to cut mine dry and un straightened so that when I cut long layers I don't end up looking like a poodle lol.
I need to redefine my layers again, gotta try it this way this time around. I cut my front layers only too which makes it look like i have extensions also. It's like a running joke that I have a weave lol :P
So jealous. I dyed my hair bright red a day or two before you posted your video of you doing it. Should of put it in my shampoo/conditioner, so doing that tonight. I'm redyeing it. I also need to find my hair razor. Your hair is soooo long, and pretty. ;n;
view 281, but its probably stopped counting by now lol. Thanks for uploading this. I cut my bangs according to your tutorial. I'm trying to get into cutting my own hair because the last time i went to the hair dresser they cut some rediculously short layers at the top im still trying to grow out. -_-
@khushcabob I have ALWAYS cut my own bangs and I have NEVER ruined. Actually every stylist have ruined my bangs...from good ones to bad ones...I guess I just like knowing that I can control it..but I have a lot of experience with my own hair and it will come with practice. At first don't close your eyes while hacking.....cut cm by cm until it's perfect !
Tried this and it worked out great! I went to the hair salon earlier and they didn't give me the layers that I wanted. Did this to get more style and it worked out awesome! Thanks for the tutorial!
This is amazeballs. Best haircut I've ever had.
I tried your tutorial on cutting side swept fringes, and thank you! It worked so well!
This is exactly how I want my hair thank you!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
This video was so helpful! I've just cut my hair, and it looks amazing!

Your techniques are so awesome. I just did my bangs like you showed the other day.
You are an amazing chick! This is my regular haircut routine now. No more hairdressers for me!
Thank you :)
@Akinakins GMJ Vibrating flat iron is the one I am use now! The T.I Chrome is also a really good iron too !
I'm a hairdresser, and even though I never learned it this way, it seems so much easier, quicker and better, if ur not a hairdresser that is:D Well done on how to easy cut ur hair in layers for those who wants to do it them selves!
pause at 0:34 and look how cute she looks with her hair that short! Awww

You make it look so easy!
Tried this today, and worked out great! Was much easier than the other DIY Hair Layering videos I've seen! THANK YOU~ ^_____^
You are awesome :) This really helped me out and people tell me they love my hair
The technique looks to be the overdirection cutting made slightly more detailed and complicated. The result is amazing, though, so well done!
@21Mariiam glad it worked for you!
@CreativeeChickks no u can't..it cuts in chunks so it's kind of fool proof.
This was a really helpful explanation- I might try it on myself to save 60$ on a stylist that knows what she's doing (if I'm going to go to someone who doesn't know what they are doing, I'd rather it be me!). Thank you!
Very concise. This is almost exactly what I do, and my hair is about the same color. Hair twins, how cool!
i was going to get my hair layered at the salon but seeing this i want to try it out.
Thanks! This helped me so much! I'm probably never going to a salon to get a hair cut again... Lol
I envy how long and healthy your hair is, especially since you dyed it! AH so pretty :)
you have AH-MAZING hair!
Omg...you're great at cutting
I'm really glad my mom is a licensed hair dresser and I can go to her to do my hair. For free. Yay!
My haircut is almost the same as yours, just a tiny bit shorter, and I cut my bangs with your other tutorial and I'm gonna use this now!! :)
Omg yea! I love the look of having short layers than BAM! Long hair at the back. People wonder a lot and a lot of my friends get so shocked when they walk behind me and see how long my hair actually is because they face me so they only see the shorter layers haha
i love that you have such long hair! mine is to my butt and it's hard to find things to do with crazy long hair
your hair looks so soft it is like silk
Red hair looks amazing on you :)
@UniquetheArt Then why didn't you stick to that? I think that would be better to work with you already know and build upon it one by one!
Wonder Girls--Be my Baby :D
Loved the Blunt bangs tutorial but I just had to comment on this one for the song!
I always get so excited when i see your name in my subscription box. =)
When thinning out your main hair bit (the longest part) you should use the scissors at an angle like / rather than _ if that makes sense~ it'll blend in a little better (:

Well, my suggestion would be to use dry shampoo in the days between washing. It removes oil (without completely stripping your hair dry) and leaves your hair smelling fresh :)

@maizebabez No it's not, in the end she said "Yeah, it makes people think I have extensions." She just has very beautiful long hair.
Your hair is so perfect
your nails are always so nice in your videos :D
I love your fringe in the picture on the top left corner of the end of the video!
Did you have a video of how you cut it like that? It looks amazing!!
I'm going to do this soon because I want to try a new method of cutting my hair, and because my split ends are just PITIFUL.
i did it. you made thus super easy. love it.
@eilony9 you have to train your hair, blow dry it in the direction that you want it to go
Very nice hair tutorial, I love your hair it's beautiful thanks for sharing doll : )
I need to redefine my layers again, gotta try it this way this time around. I cut my front layers only too which makes it look like i have extensions also. It's like a running joke that I have a weave lol :P

That looks really cute, I cut my own hair too :D
You should make a tutorial on how to use thinning shears.
I love how my hair is the same length as her first layer.
a LOOONG time ago you used to have a tutorial on cutting straight bangs that I really loved :) can you make that vid again please?
You look really pretty with shoulder length hair, esp with this colour 2:31
I layered my hair for the first time at home a couple days ago, I'm pretty content with it. Might put another layer in (:
So jealous. I dyed my hair bright red a day or two before you posted your video of you doing it. Should of put it in my shampoo/conditioner, so doing that tonight. I'm redyeing it. I also need to find my hair razor. Your hair is soooo long, and pretty. ;n;
You look like the Taiwanese actress, Rainie Yang in this video. She has really short hair right now, and I think you would look cute with it too! :)
@DogGirlDee yep happily since july!
Thank you thank you thank you!!! This is exactly what I wanted!
I love your hair it's sooo long!
Holy cow your engagement ring is stunning? Can you tell us about it i.e. style, cut, etc? Might be something we might want to hint to our boyfriends.
Plz show how you do your regular eye make up. P.s: Your awesome!
@The0Pumpkin well the point was to makes sure that your hair looks layered like mine....otherwise you are right I would not suggest it either.
omg, thanks for the advice, this will really help me since I want those kinds of layers XD
Best Guru EVER! ♥

@SecretLifeOfaBioNerd No I actually use to cut them straight across or diagnolly without a guide point just based on how I want them to look
@Writerchic1 I only do as much as you see. I don't dye and cut every single week ^_^".
today I woke up and was saying to myself: "shit I would like to know how she's cutting her hair" and there you go, awesome coincidence :D

@khushcabob I have ALWAYS cut my own bangs and I have NEVER ruined. I have thin hair, so it's like maybe a third or fourth of what your hair volume is T-T. So jealous!
Love your hair!
I didn't know your hair style was that easy :D
Can we get a back view of your hair?
@makeupforevar it's the same in my red hair care video.
Thanks for this vid. Really needed it!
I love how wondergirls is playing in the background x)
Ty so much for this. It worked for me. I am single mom so all my money goes to my son. $30+ haircuts are not in my budget.
