I liked the original okay. I was scared all the funny stuff for this one was going to be in the trailer. I was so happy that wasn't true, and even the stuff that was in the trailer was better in the the context of the movie.
It's one of those few movies that I really found the characters just so incredibly likeable. The actings is great, it's hilarious, action packed, fun for the family, and I know it's not a popular take but I like it better then the original. Maybe it's because I'm younger and the old jumanji isn't like a classic to me but I think this one all around is just a better movie that leaves me wanting more when it's done.
Too give you an idea of what this movie is like it's literally the Thor Ragnarok of the Jumanji franchise. The cast and their chemistry is spectacular and the movie is so much fun and absolutely hilarious! And I love the journey it takes the characters on and how that impacts them on the outside
I did a review on this a couple of weeks ago - thought Jack Black was the perfect casting choice of a teenage girl trapped in man's body! Totally get what you mean about the villain, but I still wanted more with that character - when you have an emmy award winning actor playing the role - give them something to do! Good point about Kevin Hart's character being nothing like his "real life" teenager character... Great review man - you gave it a slightly higher score than I did, but we both definitely had fun with this movie!
It's both. It can directly tie to the original, but functionally it's a reimagining for the 21st century. It's like a stand alone story involving the game in the same universe.
I didn't like how long it took for the teacher to give detention to Bethany. Any teacher who sees a phone during a test would give them an automatic 0 at the best
I was thinking that too.....but board games don't get jealous and convert themselves into video game systems either. Nor have I ever seen someone sucked into a video game. SO I couldn't let it bother me too much.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was a fun, goofy adventure. I was curious about it because I like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. I'm not a Jack Black fan but I liked him here. Jumanji was good, I owned it on VHS.
I thought this was a great movie. The chemistry between all the actors was great. I also liked how at it's core it was really a coming of age story. Great review!
Tough.....I gave them the rating but for different reasons. Last Jedi is a film which aims higher with far more ambition, creativity, drama and themes....but it also fails to fully execute on those ambitions and was frustrating theatrical experience. Jumanji only aims to entertaining and does so in a predictable manner....but does so just about as good as is possible for this film and was wildly entertaining. Based on how entertained in theater I was.....Jumanji hands down! Based on long term impact and which I'll remember and be talking about in the future....Last Jedi.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a good film. I haven't seen the original and wasn't really interested in seeing this, but it is a very good and funny film
Only reason I saw it was because my dad gave me tickets to take my little brother and i ended up enjoying it. It was super predictable and cheesy at times (my biggest complaint), but it was still enjoyable and really funny
I don't understand why you started with the worst parts of this movie when you were surprised by it and gave it 8/10. If I seen a movie and was surprised by it, I would be praising it with positives first to give you that impression that I liked it or loved it and then go into the criticisms, nitpicks, stuff like that. It creates a more effective review for my experience recording movie reviews.
I Was Laughing the Whole Movie i Loved the Characters I Haven't seen the Original my rating to me is a nice 8/10 and my favorite movie of 2017 but the worst part of the movie to me is the love i hate when people kiss each other it disgusts me i looked away when they kissed either way the mixed part might be like the distraction i loved the scene and hated it at the same time that scene gives me like a 5/10 so yeah and my favorite character is fridge the reason why because hes drunk hes hilarious and when i saw the first trailer i was not intrested but the other trailers made me want to watch it so bad alright to me the best part of this film is the comedy alright bye
I just watched the film, and I really liked it! I agree with pretty much all you said, and the humor and character dynamics are what stood out the most to me. It's an 8/10 from me too!
Kevin Hart and The Rock have got to be one of my favourite acting duos!
If you haven't seen this one yet...it will only make you love them together WAY MORE!
Truth!
Looking forward to checking this out now!

Looking forward to see it on saturday!
I read Joe Jonas' part was for Tom Holland but this little Infinity War thingy took too long.
i thought it was a reimagining of the orginal not a sequel

I adore the first but this seemed to be as good as it could get.

You make me want to see this movie
The only part I didn't like is the villain, some of the action and the plot was predictable.
I am seeing it the 24rt
Watched it yesterday great.movie ..made me laugh and it's enjoyable
you did the worst first. I like it better, good last makes the review much more likable, No other reviewers do this good job
Yes. That was actually a very intentional choice to see if it flowed better.
I actually very much appreciate the feedback on it.
A good video game movie?
If you consider it a video game movie...most definitely

I tried something different. I constantly try new things to discover what works and what doesn't and how people respond to different things.
