All Enemies & Bosses of Rise of the Triad (1994 - 2013)

- In this video I compare the enemies of "Rise of the Triad: Dark War" (1994) and the remake from 2013. The enemies in the original game are mostly digitized employees and acquaintances of the development company Apogee. There are a few interesting variations, such as enemies that steal your gun or catch you with a net, which was quite a change for 1994. The remake has adopted the peculiarities of most of the enemies, but also offers variations.
It's no coincidence that the enemies are reminiscent of Wolfenstein's soldiers, since the game was originally planned as a successor or expansion to Wolfenstein. But then there were disputes at id-Software, Doom designer Tom Hall left the company and went to Apogee to develop Rise of the Triad.
Have you had any experience with the game? Which enemy do you like the most?

2:16: Civvie brought me here, and I'm not mad.
I hope the upcoming remaster by Nightdive Studios will have both the original and all its expansions and the 2013 remake from Interceptor Entertainment in it on July 31st.
I had no idea NME stood for Nasty Metallic Enforcer. That's wild to me.
What a game back in 98❤ general darian and sebastian use to give me nightmares as a child 😂😂😂
for all these years
Never heard of this game before....but enjoyed the vid
Can you do All Enemies of Resistance, Serious Sam or Lost Planet next?
Actually, I started working on Serious Sam and Lost Planet a two years ago, but haven't finished them yet. Too many games out there...
I remember roasting the death monks and their skeleton falling down, making a xylophone sound or something like that. I liked that sound!
I still have post traumatic stress disorder from that nme thing
It would have been cool if they had female guards and female monks in the original. I know it was planned but was dropped because it would have required twice as much memory (please correct me if I’ve got it wrong here).
Someone back then also told me that the female guards and female monks were supposedly trained in hand to hand combat and would have had the ability to do martial arts type punches and kicks to make them stand apart from the male guards in a way but I have never seen any truth to that anywhere.
Cool vid
Thanks!
3:39 they'll bury you in a lunchbox
Now you need to add the Ludicrous Edition which added another chapter and the removed content they added with new animations and such plz!

wasnt the name of the nasty metallic enforcer stage name ONE STOP NMI or NEXT HALT NMI something like that in the original rise of the triad ? in honor of the great NMI irq line on motherboards of thoses days (non maskable interrrupt) and thus representing how fatal the nasty metallic enforcer can be ? hehe i remeber reading that back then in pc gamer , rott was one of my favourite game as a kid and im an absolute computer nerd
👍
I don't know what this game about
The first Rise of the Triad was originally planned as a Wolfenstein sequel or addon. You find more information in my description under the video.

Is Krist based on someone?
What the hell was up with the remake?
righ looks kinda easy and the voices are awful maybe in the future we can get a more awesome remake one can dream
@@Jaroartx The voices have a slight German accent, so that it is like a sequel/addon to Wolfenstein as originally intended.
