I loved how it was mentioned toward the end of the video.... the similarities between the different Christian groups, the things they share... same faith, same veneration of Holy sites, and important people from biblical history. I’ve been trying to do this more too! Paying more attention to the ways in which we are the same, rather than the differences! I find it more humbling and more in keeping with the scripture which says ‘let him seek peace and pursue it’. Thankyou and God bless :)

Unfortunately for the all inclusivity people seek that idea will put so many to shame in the end, God has opened the door for all people only through utter loyalty to Jesus Christ the Lord, but most christan faith of today and 99% of churches in the Christian faith have a man as their head or still live by the works of the flesh and for other religions its not even the same ballpark without Jesus Christ being your savoir snd Lord, Jesus said the way to life is very narrow and few through all time will find it

I was on a tour and visited the tomb of David and the upper room right above it and was blown away with knowing they were the same place and felt that God’s Holy Spirit was still alive as it was then.

All the original Bible came from the spoken Word of God ,,given to trustworthy people who wouldn't change it, or twist His truth around in order for others to be followed. Some don't even understand the whole reason He came was to point the world to His father the creator. He never told His followers to worship Him, but only His father in heaven. I have been 8 times to Israel and spent 3 nights in the Holy Sepulchre.I even met Father David Neuhaus who is the priest at the Hebrew Catholic Church. Thank for this program and hope to be in Israel again soon .In the mean time everyday I pray for Israel the Jewish people and Jerusalem

It would be amazing if digging below the 'Tomb of David' was permitted. With the engineering that is used now at the City of David it should be possible to do it.

1 Kings 2:10 Then David rested with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David.
The burial place has to be within the city of David.
Nehemiah 3:16 After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, repaired to a point opposite the tombs of David, as far as the artificial pool, and as far as the house of the mighty men.
They are rebuilding the wall in Nehemiah chapter 3 and it is mentioned that they repaired to a point close to David’s tomb. There are people who have actually followed the Biblical account and found the area of Tombs that do correspond to the city of David. There is one place that corresponds to this which is: most likely tomb T1
Absolutely. could have been lost already at that time. Mt Zion (have you been here) would be in great view of City of David and may have been the perfect place to see it from the City, but for one thing. I don't believe Solomon would have buried his father in an unprotected area. Outside the walls would have left it for thieves or invading armies to plunder.

The highlight for me in Jerusalem is at the Western Wall!!! I feel His Presence so strong there!!! Not the church of holy Seplechre! I felt the opposite there! And the Garden Tomb is beautiful but I really feel the real site is on the Mount of Olives! The crucifixion took place at Mt of Olives! There is only one place where the Roman centurion would have seen the ripping of the veil and it is east of the Temple..on Mt. Of Olives!
It is only a wall. See past a stone structure please. Yes the presence is there, but it is God is to be worshiped..but we all agree God will return for His people. Yeshua Ben David to reign supreme!
Someday in God's will, I will visit Jerusalem too and in Western Wall.

I think king David is buried on the property line between his palace and the temple probably under a stairway or passage way leading to the temple so that his people would pass by him on the to worship his Lord. That was his kind of heart and mind. A Shepard to the people.

Nobody is saved by going to Israel or even contemplating statues suggested by the RCC. Our Lord JC clearly said, "Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when *neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem* will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

I wonder what the archeologist interviewed would say about the Garden Tomb, where Protestants and Messianics generally believe Yeshua was buried. I've seen videos showing Gethsemane and Golgotha. They are still there because no one built on them. But what about the Garden Tomb? Was it discovered during an archeological dig or did no one build over it because it was considered a Holy site because the first believers prevented it? If it wasn't discovered in a dig, I wonder how, after 2000+ years no one attempted to build a church around it. Things I ponder late at night.
The reason why is because the garden tomb is not the tomb of Christ. The holy sepulchre has always been considered the tomb of Christ, and the historical precedence has lots of archaeological evidence to back up the claim - The current holy sepulchre replaced Constantine’s church which replaced the pagan shrine built by the Roman Emperor (I think Hadrian) on top of the tomb of Christ.
@@lukewilliams448 the tomb has been considered the place since Constantine’s mother said it was. The placing of the church would put it inside the ancient city of Jerusalem. However scripture says that they took him to be crucified at Golgotha. John 19:41 says that the tomb was next to the place where he was crucified. In order for that church to be the actual place it means that Romans would have to crucify people inside cities furthermore that tombs also were built within the city
@@tariqskanaal8187 The city walls were extended before Constantine’s time, the holy sepulchre originally at the time of Christ was outside the city gates. Constantine’s mother identified the tomb because on top of the original tomb a previous emperor had built a pagan shrine, which therefore preserved the location of the original tomb.
We tend to think of difference as a problem instead of celebrating the common faith. We've always had more in common with each other than our different often later constructs.
Well, human survival depends on peace and collaboration not competition, greed, war.

As a Jew, Jerusalem goes back 1000 years before Jesus. The ongoing dig at the City of David will reveal more and more. Those sites are the Holy sites that Jesus would have known. The sites in this show are where it is believed that Jesus himself was. But again Jesus was in Jerusalem to worship at the Temple. And I'm sure Jesus as did many at that time, knew exactly where the real Tomb of David was. The Romans I'm sure had the place destroyed and desecrated as they wished to wipe out all Jewish life and memory in Jerusalem.
Nice fairytale. Israeli archeology has already proven David was a minor warlord, not the king of an empire. There never was a king Solomon, his words of wisdom copied from the Egyptian, "Instructions of Amenemope." There never was an exodus.

Just like they left the western wall preserved which they could have dismantled when conquered. So clearly whoever has this understating is taking a biased and uneducated approach.

The most likely location are the tombs at the southern tip of the City of David.

What we call the City of David, is not what was called the City of David thousands of years ago. Bethlehem was also called as the City of David.

I'm sorry but this site you claim is the Tomb of king David DOES NOT line up with the descriptions in the scriptures. King David was burried in HIS city with the other kings in the bloodline. The site IS NOT near the temple mount.
These places of history are just that. They shouldn't be "venerated" or considered holy. There is only One who is Holy. A place built by the hands of men can never be considered "holy". It is the HEART of men that ישו, בנו של יוסף cares for and looks at, not the places he/she worships.
All of this worship over physical places is so sad. All of the idolatry inside of it, is worse. We are the temples of the precious Holy Spirit, not this cold stone.
I’m surprised, not really, that they never showed the actual tomb of David and all the Kings that have been found in the City of David just where the Bible says they are. These have been studied by archeologists but, thankfully, not venerated as shrines by religious orders. God is the God of reality, not religious dogma. He is what is, not what we want, imagine or believe Him to be. We must conform to Him and His word, He doesn’t conform to our whims no matter how ‘religious’ we purport to be. That’s why they crucified him.

Idol worship is a sacrilege. Amid forgot to mention who started this tradition of "King"s David tomb" on the western hill wrongly called "mount zion. This tradition was started by a Muslim historian in Jerusalem at the end of the 10th C. AD and his name was Al Mukadsi. -- Also, the niche in the wall is a Qibla, because after the Jews were expelled from their synagogue in the 16th century by the Muslims, they turned it into a mosque,till 1948 when Israel unconquered, and the qible pointed toward Mecca
The political system of entrenched rule in the occupied Palestinian territory which endows one racial-national-ethnic group with substantial rights, benefits and privileges while intentionally subjecting another group to live behind walls, checkpoints and under a permanent military rule. There are pitiless features of Israel’s ‘apartness’ rule in the occupied Palestinian territory that were not practiced in southern Africa, such as segregated highways, high walls and extensive checkpoints, a barricaded population, missile strikes and tank shelling of a civilian population, and the abandonment of the Palestinians’ social welfare to the international community.
So, the tomb of David is under the floor where they were standing because there were two small decorations that were the lion of Judah and some other thing that I could not make since of? That's it? That's all the proof there is? Nonsense.

Many historians, theologists and archeologists deny that the David's Tomb is actually King David's. More than that, so called upper room where Jesus had the last supper is a fake. The building is much older than Jesus' times.
