- Just a day to take a quick look at some of the random 1/12 scale items items I've picked up, customized or been sent over the past few months to supplement my displays, like heads for some of my Star Wars and Marvel Legends figures, pasrt for a Mr. T, the start of a Veebs Universal Cereal Monsters project, a crazy scaled diorama of my own review space, Boss Fight's Legends of Lucha Libre, Memory Toys' War Bear and more!

I can definitely relate to what you said at the end. The older I get, the more my perfectionism turns into "well that's good enough".
Also Grid Iron Studios has some great items. Their Road Hog and Icebox loadouts are really good. Be sure to check out the BAT accessories too.

I've had so many top 10s, best ofs and other similar content appear in my feed recently, it's exhausted me a little on collecting. Robo is the only toy UA-camr I will watch do anything because his enthusiasm and honesty is infectious. No reason to post other than to say "thanks, Robo"

It's kinda crazy, the first couple of times I didn't know what to think, now I love getting them.
The review station dio still gets me. Such a cool little thing! I love dioramas, and unique ones with character and playability like that one are always fun to see.
Yeah, I have it on a shelf and when someone walks into the studio that's on of the first things they lock onto, just like "Heeeeyyyy!!"
Groot looks Great
I have some damage to my nerves so painting can be a chore. Easiest way I've found to stop that Robo is by making a hard foam rest to rest my wrists on while painting. It stops the shakes. Other UA-camrs who paint miniatures with similar issues do the same. I just took their idea and put fabric on it that wont collect sweat.

Yeah, I'm excited to get the various pieces I have commissioned for the other cereal monsters. Although I found a pic today that has me doing a u-turn on Booberry, but that's how it goes...

DUDE!! I miss customizing like this. really the only thrill with collecting anything really is what I can turn any figure into something else but better. Comic accurate be damned to each their own but you know what thats what it's all about. Total fun.

Love the play days, would love like a short of a breakdown of how you custom/ what tricks to do as I have never heard of sealers and always have a problem with paint chip

I have several small projects and mods n paint touch ups I'm working on now. Going to begin work on a custom Night Trooper from the Ashoka show tonight, using the recently revealed Sideshow Night Trooper for my template. The goal is to recreate the Sideshow design on a Black Series Stormtrooper figure
Yeah, I was eyeballing a couple of Stormtroopers the other day after that Hot Toys dropped. I'm sure as soon as I finish Hasbro will announce the same thing, heh.

I'm not into wrestling but those Legends of Lucha Libre figures look really good! If they had diaphram joints, that would be my ideal articulation setup, more companies need to start using ball pegs for their torsos!

Love your Play Days, Robo! LOVE Boss Fight's BLACK TAURUS! I use him in my head-canon for one of the three Carnie Circuit Wrestling Champions, for the Mexican Champion, El Monstruo Guapo (The Handsome Monster). I'll be using Dark Wolf for another wrestler, Lone Wolf--known for refusing to be in a tag-team, no matter how much he's offered. He wears a mask so he can get paid for his wrestling gig, while remaining eligible for the Olympics, since it won't be known he got paid as an amateur.
Your Yummy Mummy? Damn fine work! Definitely something to be proud of! Love the head and eyes your chose for it, too. I'd def buy it if I saw it on the shelf.

I'll be totally honest here… I don't really know where some of these figs are fromーtheir respective lines, or in some cases, •even their brands•. . . Which fills me with shame 😔 But this video popped up on my feed, and as a •full-on fig addict• (to the MAX… 😐), I had to give it a watch. And I have to say, that "War-Bear," I think it was…? Yeah, he's •badASS•, man. I •LOVE• all that articulation on/around his head and neck areaーthe way that the rubber's layered up like that to fit with •seemingly any• position… Yeah, gorgeous. And the eyes, though simple, are •just SO intense•. . . 🫢 I *really* want that fig, man.
So, I've just questions, three:

Would you ever consider videos focused on dioramas and accessories? Like, structures, furniture, barrels, background clutter, etc?
I really hope Jada Toys release a Mummy figure to go with the rest of their excellent Universal Monsters figures. And I really wish someone would do a 6" scale Robby the Robot action figure.
I don't think Mummy is going to happen, they seem to have moved on from that license.

I really like how that Mr. Super Smooth Clear made the Shadowcat look, just ordered some off of Amazon. Haven't used it before, any tips on applying it? Just try to spray the figure evenly?
Yeah, just kinda mist it on evenly, not a big heavy blast. It'll seem shiny at first but will look duller as it dries.

Yup, that's essentially it.
Not a bad looking S'ym, but my first introduction to him was in his techno organic form, so I'd love to see that form as a ML release someday.

I have a custom figure that was painted with some flat colors. Anything I can do to give it shine like the wwf hasbros look?
They also make semi-gloss sealers that may be closer to factory sheen.

If u replaced yourself with a actual action figure dolly custom you, most wouldn't even notice. Only the most discerning inspection could differ the minute details on sculpt, engineering, proportions. The esthetics, applied carefully by a talented customizer, could easily fool most into believing that the action figure dolly has more character, poise , and craftsmanship than the actual boob it's been crafted from. Very fartworthy 😜😀😛🌲
I have that wrestling figure with the bull mask & horns, also... I've been trying to decide what figure display I actually want to use him with, since my wrestling collection is really mostly just a few favorite characters I've enjoyed watching over the years, a few customs of guys like Ivan & Nikita Koloff from the old NWA days, and then several figures that just have a cool visual appearance to them, and therefore is severely lacking in luchadore type figures, except for maybe Rey Mysterio Jr. or two... and that guy doesn't really resonate with me in that particular setting, so I haven't really put him anywhere yet...
However, seeing him again, as you were going over details and articulation, I suddenly realized that he'd be perfect with my Dungeons and Dragons display, all he needs are some weapons and he'll be great!
I recently dug out an extra Marvel Legends Black Knight (1st version), stuck an extra BAF tattered Demogoblin cape on him, using the fully helmeted version of the 3 heads, and stuck him inside the Gelatinous Cube that I picked up last year at Wal-Mart... he works great as a medieval knight or anti-paladin type figure as is, but I'm thinking about painting the scale mail black instead of that metallic blue color, and hitting it with a little silver or gold dry brushing... I also gave him a gold shield 🛡 from a WWE build-a-wrestler armor upgrade set, so I am trying to decide what kind of color scheme to go with for that also... 🤔
I also recently picked up a WWE "Scorpion King" movie figure, unfortunately, it comes with ZERO gear, armor, weaponry, or anything else, so I'm having to completely outfit and arm that figure up, for use with my D&D figures...
I've also been putting together a GI JOE Classified Mr. T, as well... I'm using that same version 1 Roadblock figure and an extra Mr. T head from the WWE Ultimate Mr. T figure... since I wanted BOTH a Mr. T and a B.A. Barracus(sp?) Joe figure, I'm just calling him "B.A. 'MR. T' Barracus"... File name: B.A. Barracus, Codename: MR. T.

Secondary Military Specialty: PT Instructor/Motor Pool Chaplain with an emphasis on adaptive warfare upgrades for vehicle weaponry and armory... (A-Team style!) 😅
