Yes. And if you are harvesting and cutting near the ground the saw works better because the walls are very thick and the tubing cutter takes a LOT of force to cut that nearly solid piece.

A little water will get in from rain. I dont know if I would fill it. Some people say that the top should stay open for air. I have seen a video from India where they put mud on the top and wrap it in plastic to keep it from drying out. I wrapped some plastic on a few of mine but can't say it helped.
Sooner is always better. If they have been in a container and are root-bound at all you need to remove or comb and separate the knotted roots because they will never spread out if you don't.
You are only a few miles more North than I am in Englewood Fl. so yes you should be able to grow any kind of bamboo. Put as much organic matter in your planting hole as you can and that will help your bamboo grow much faster than in plain sand.
@@seetheforest I just had somebody on Amazon say this kind of bamboo would never grow from a cutting.. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F1GM8GK/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza
Well I have no idea what kind of bamboo you have or if it can be cloned. The ones I have here are Bambusa Vulgaris and if the cuttings are made at the right stage and with favorable weather and temp they will sprout. The best cuttings are from new shoots after the first summer when they have leaves and some branches. Again not all bamboo species like to make aerial roots.
To ship live plants international you have to have "bare root" no dirt or soil. Then they need to be inspected and quarantined as per local regulations. In some places it's even illegal to ship seeds. Check all regulations and buy from a reputable source doing everything legal. If you are in Florida or USA I can help you. If you are North of Sarasota I have only one species that is able to take frost. I was hoping Polymorpha or Long internode would be tough enough to handle some frost but they didn't like 28° two days in a row. The roots survived but if it would have been a hard freeze for two days my containers might have been killed. I'm right on a zone line. I need to be about 50 miles south or inland around Lake Okeechobee where it has a thermal blanket zone. Or I could burn smudge pots and tires... Thick black smoke and a carbon layer protects from frost.
What do you do with all the bamboo? I'm looking for bamboo because I want to make a dish with it ( thai bamboo sticky rice). I can't grow any bamboo due to the cold winters but would love to grow some. If you know any bamboo that is frost tolerant that would be helpful.
Moso and some of the other running bamboos are frost and snow tolerant. I only grow the tropical clumping giants. And one "purple" bamboo that I'm not really sure of the species name.
@@nickkailey7682 Not sure I understand your question. This is how I make newly sprouted clones. I have planted these and they do well. It does take a season in the ground for them to get going but after that they grow like crazy. This bamboo is Bambusa Vulgaris and in a warm climate like Florida it does well. Different species may be harder or easier to sprout and I found these will sprout better in Nov when the temps go down into the 60's at night.. Running bamboos do better in cooler climates and you can't clone them like the tropical clumpers.

you dont fill the opebing with water? I saw some videos saying to fill the cane opening at top with water?
A little water will get in from rain. I dont know if I would fill it. Some people say that the top should stay open for air. I have seen a video from India where they put mud on the top and wrap it in plastic to keep it from drying out. I wrapped some plastic on a few of mine but can't say it helped.
MashaAllah , nice Viideo ,
Know when can I plant them in the ground?
Sooner is always better. If they have been in a container and are root-bound at all you need to remove or comb and separate the knotted roots because they will never spread out if you don't.
Can I grow Bamboo in Lake Placid FL? Soil is very sandy here.
Hi, I ve been watering my cuts for Almost two weeks, sprouts are equal to yours.. but no roots whatsoever . Any idea? Maybe if i bury them in soil?
Well I have no idea what kind of bamboo you have or if it can be cloned. The ones I have here are Bambusa Vulgaris and if the cuttings are made at the right stage and with favorable weather and temp they will sprout.
The best cuttings are from new shoots after the first summer when they have leaves and some branches. Again not all bamboo species like to make aerial roots.
Do you sell bamboo? It’s so hard to find where I’m at and would love to purchase some if possible!
@@seetheforest Thank you. Do you know any good source to get some seed or plants?
what type of bamboo is this? Any rugged species that will do better in sandy soil and grow between 10 and 20 feet?
This is Bambusa Vulgaris called common bamboo the most widely cultivated species in Indochina. It does well in Sandy soil but gets about 75 feet tall.
My dog’s name is also Peanut
I wanted to see a simple bamboo propagation and now lmao.

"like, subscribe, whatever, idgaf"... haha i love it. keep it up
Hey, q uestion. have you tried replanting from newly sprouted cones? is this a good idea or should I try your method first
@@nickkailey7682 Not sure I understand your question.
Running bamboos do better in cooler climates and you can't clone them like the tropical clumpers.
how much bamboo will generate from each plant?
Thank you sir. What is that white stuff you mixed
The white stuff is Perlite expanded glass or silica like from a blast furnace or volcano.
