I'm a 61 yr old woman & getting my 1st passport soon. I've been thinking of Iceland since I'm not geared for hiking, but driving the Ring sounds fun. I've been to Alaska, solo twice, and enjoy the scenic driving. Driving in big cities is intimidating for me, so I choose less crowded routes, but Anchorage isn't bad. I'm also thinking of Norway.
I wish best of luck to you!
For a first timer I suggest somewhere safe to gain experience. Cyprus, Malta , Costa Rica, and Belize spring to mind. If you can cope in a place where almost nobody speaks English Albania will be a pleasant surprise.
On my first solo trip I visited 7 countries. I just fell in love with being free
hey I am so curious how did you manage the money?
If you stay abroad so much time how do you make them
@@LorenzoCara-z7r save up then go travel.....
they used this video to make a text for the 9th grade exam in Algeria and I came here to check out
It's strange that my first time travelling solo was Japan, and because of how simple and safe it was, I actually feel unsure as where to go next.
Same
Exploring new countries is such a rewarding experience! For first-time travelers, I'd recommend considering destinations that offer a mix of cultural richness and natural beauty. Personally, I've been fortunate to travel to over 10 countries thanks to careful budgeting and smart investments.I wasnt financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 2 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future!
Although, traveling solo is interesting, i still prefer having a company. Would love to be surrounded by family and friends
Las Vegas , no doubt , everything is walking distance and I play poker 24/7
Hello from Virginia 😊
I would think that SE Asian would be a great solo trip. Great locations like Bangkok, Krabi (Ao Nang Beach), Chiang Mai would be a culture shock and an eye opener at the same time. The natural beauty is insane there
South east Asia is to me the best place for a solo trip. Us Kiwis it’s incredibly common to do one. Especially Thailand
How much did that 3-month trip cost you? How long did you save up for it or what were ways that you funded it?
I am croatian and I can confirm it is one of the safest countries in europe. you can literally walk anywhere in the middle of the night with a very low probability of anything happening to you. it is also very safe in most of europe, so I agree with most recommendations in this video with the exception of the US and Peru. Those are not as safe so if you are travelling solo you should be more experienced in my opinion.
For sure! Us and peru oooh big things
Manz is packing a double upper decky zyn
swiss guy here. really liked this video of yours, Collin. But I would need to disagree on switzerland. switzerland is expensive and locals are pretty closed off to tourists. especially people who are there alone. In terms of safety its great here. But you RARELY go into a sit-down dine restaurant in Switzerland alone without getting a weird look. I hate that this country is like that.
Whys that?
Hello from Cambodia 🇰🇭
I found Croatia so friendly and beautiful! Dubrovnick is a must!
I dont know if you read the comments. But when are you planning on going to italy? And would you want a travel buddy. Currently living in the U.S "Oklahoma". Iv watched all of your videos and im wanting to travel to Italay. Let me know of youd wanna get in contact and make plans. 😅

Nice travel
I've never travelled abroad before and I'm from the U.S. Do you need a drivers license AND passport at the airport to board the plane? Or can you use passport alone?🤔
To board a flight all you need is your boarding pass which should be saved on your phone, as well as your passport! Some countries may be strict with covid and may ask you to show proof of vaccination but I don’t think that’s a thing anymore really!
Greetings from Amsterdam🇳🇱. I’m actually a local motor tour guide for (solo) travelers. For new sightseeing experience🏍️📸💫
Go to Bordeaux, Salzburg and Prague
Budapest is a good one
Why did you specifically recommended those cities for solo travel?
Hey man, did you check your backpack in? Flying from Toronto to Lisbon to start my journey and really want to avoid checking my backpack in (Osprey Rook 50L) but it seems to be bigger than the carry-on requirements. Thanks!
You could try to take out some of the excess weight and put that into jacket pockets, pants pockets, and a fanny pack or another small backpack. Worst case scenario would be if you had to turn it into 2 separate bags and the airline counted them both but in that case just put all essentials in your carry on and check the other bag. You could then consolidate back to one when you arrive. Hope this helps and good luck!
P.S. I’d try to get them to just let you take it. Sometimes the gate agents don’t really care enough and will just let it slide ;)
