On drop rate is a series about obtaining a specific unique item from any source in old school runescape, but I can only attempt said activity as many times as said items exact drop rate.
This time, for the first time since episode 8 we take on another skilling boss.
Tempoross is the fishing boss of old school runescape and offers great fishing xp per hour as well as a variety of unique rewards.
The item we are going for this time is the 1/1600 big harpoon fish.

A tip for when you move your inventory or an other UI element, if you hold alt and right click it, it will snap back to it's original position.

I've never done or seen Tempoross before, so good to see you attempting a drop rate on it! Love the content, keep it up! - Camoslash
If you go from loading a cannon or fishing, then red click to fish the tempoross you create an animation stall. This stall is inconsistent, and sometimes makes animations look faster/slower than they are actually happening. And while fishing with this animation stall actively slowing your visual animations, your character gets stuck doing that entire animation loop looking slow. Hope this makes sense and isn't too much word vomit.
It's wild that the infernal harpoon slows the fishing animation - I would have never noticed!

Love your videos and dedicated grinds! also for the cooking, you can actually make it so you dont even have to move your mouse at all, if u bind a key to closing your inventory and put it on top of the fire, you can just spam click with no movements for even faster xp

I got spoon at tempoross with the fish barrel and didn’t want to go back but you made it look fun again, next time you getting the pet for sure- Jak Pot Boy
The humidify is quite interesting, but entirely unnecesary, the solo experience is quite solved and you don't need more buckets than what you bring in, never need to fill them.
I'm sure there are guides around somewhere... if not I have one (But it's very simplistic, check others first)

Hey if you wear full spirit angler you don't need a rope! The angler top works as rope for tethering during a wave.

I did tempoross for around 100kc and got really lucky with the pet, then stopped worrying too much about permits. Seeing how long it took you just to get these permits... really glad I wasn't dry lmao

Got a love/hate relationship with this boss…dragon harpoon on release day, tacklebox day after, but since then all I’ve managed to pull is 3 big harpoon fish, still no barrel or tome 😭😭

I did the firefight method from 91 to 99 fishing, took me a huge amount of time and got like 4.5k permits, looking for the pet and got him in the last 100 permits! Also got like 4 big harpoonfish in that time as well. Gl and keep grinding!

Didn't realize how rare the big harpoonfish is until now, I got it in my first 200 permits, together with the tacklebox, haha - Sredleg
I am currently on a tempoross grind on an ironman without dragon harpoon. i get about 9.5 rewards per game onm average, without the fire fighting method

I trained my ironman fishing here from 35 to 81/82ish and loved it. Skilling bosses sre such a good idea. Tho i didnt get a single poon or book from the grind or the harpoonfish so that was a bummer. Gkad to see the series still going. Rsn sirensbane

I've seen people get the fish on the 1st reward, but never go dry on the full drop rate. amazing 😂
