Out of curiosity, I watched another video describing the same procedure. It is 24 minutes long and includes a lot a story telling and head scratching by the presenter. He completed the job, but it took a lot longer. I much prefer some one getting to the point; it saves time and confusion.

They are super useful. Just replaced the starter on a 2006 Matrix with 195,000 miles. Just found out the front right strut is covered in dirty oil, but not dripping-gonna keep an eye on it for now.

For some reason I have seen that the 2 hub to strut bolts vary in sizes for different models. Some take a 19mm socket, others a 21mm. I found a 12 point 7/8 fits nice and tight, but one of my bolts is frozen so bad I might have to grind it off. And good luck finding a replacement for it online.

Great god. Actually those big bolts go from front to back according to the factory manual. Prolly don’t matter
1 question I have is ... if your going to change one strut might as well change the second one, is this good advise?
What are the size of the bolts that hold the roder and strut together?
Is an alignment required after strut replacement?
What size were those bolts from the knuckle to the strutt
Hah. Conveniently doesn’t cover getting off the bottom end link bolt lol. I use my small dremel extension with a cutoff wheel to slice the bolt.too tight for a regular cutoff wheel. Just making two big slices in it is usually enough to get it to budge.
Where do I get the copper never seize?
What is the part number for the horseshoe plate that can be seen @2:46 ?
HELP! I was installing the new strut, and when torquing the top strut to body nuts down to 29 Ft lbs, 2 of the 3 studs literally sheared in half. The only thing I did do differently, is I started torquing these ones first, without doing the rest and setting the vehicle back down on the ground. Is that why this happened? How do I prevent this from happening again?
What was the size of the wrenches you used.
To remove the 2 bolts of the strut base
21mm
19 mm two bolts that hold struts to knuckle. 21 mm lug bolts.
