- In this video you will see a very unusual knot, that I found in a vintage Hermes catalog. Also, you will see 3 ways to wear it.To show this scarf style I used a silk Hermes scarf ”La vie du Grand Nord”. Its size is 35” x 35” (89 x 89cm) but you can easily use smaller scarves.

Hi, I see a lot of Russian orthodox women, wearing a head scarf, I was wondering if you knew how to tie it? I’ve asked one girl before and she said it lets others know she’s married, it sits a bit further back on the head. I hope that’s enough information and I hope it’s not offensive to ask
That was before 20th century. :)After 20th century we start to wear it mostly for practical reasons ( protection from sun, wind or cold) Nowadays, some Russian ortodox women wear them, but most of them don't. I see some tendency to cover the hair all the time in a very religious women. I hope I answered your question :)

Здравствуйте, Елена! Почему Вы перестали снимать видео? Ведь платки - это неисчерпаемая тема! А кроме платков сейчас появились всевозможные фиксаторы для них. Разные броши-клипсы, муфты, кольца для платков разных конфигураций! Тема использования украшений и фиксаторов для платков очень плохо освещена на просторах интернета! Не могли бы Вы заняться этим вопросом?
