I was obsessed with Albert Lee in early 2000’s I met him several times and he used to recognise me by name. I even had the chance to sit down and play with him once, and he signed my Albert Lee, music man guitar. He is my favourite guitar player of all time always will be.
I was in the audience when this was recorded for a two VHS tape set. That was a fun night. Afterwards Albert signed autographs (still have it) and I asked which guitarist, living or dead, would he most like to play with. Without hesitation he answered "Jimmy Bryant" and did not mention any other players. And he's still out there playing those amazing fleet fingered runs. A great player and still one of my guitar heroes.
