This tutorial is the first step in giving a used reborn a make-over and a fresh start at life.
We will be removing this rooted hair on this baby Lexi kit, using a hair remover.
Follow along as Lexi gets a fresh start.
I am a new to adopted reborn and have made several children and a woman with altzheimers very hapoy. One if my babies came with hair all wrong, sticking up all over and several.ibvoous bals patches. I watched hair trimming. I was soon evident the baby was badkt rooted. Thank God for your video! I was able to remove the hair ( glue had been poured on inside if baby's head! What a mess. She is on her way to being another little girl's best, friend, baby, or little sister. I am just starting, as I said and I so appreciated this video. It was easy to understand and your methods worked perfectly. Thank you! Audrey

Lol I just took some wax beads and tore it out it didn’t do damage to the vinyl and pulled all the hair out perfectly...

I’m sorry. There isn’t any kits to donate. I purchased this used doll to use in this make over. If you would like to learn to root you will need to purchase a doll kit and the supplies to learn to root. You will need mohair, rooting needles and a doll kit.
I think it is easier to put hot water inside . Just pull off!

Can you add hair on a doll with sparse hair rooted and glued without removing anything just warm up the head? I am wanted to give my reborn more hair...

What if it were synthetic hair?
I’m not sure how, or if it works on synthetic hair. I’ve never tried
I have a crazy question but, is there like a method of removing rooted eyelashes on a vinyl .... and removing the magnet inside the vinyl head too?
If the artist used water based glue inside the head you can put a little water in and let it soak for a bit. It’ll soften and they be able to tweezer out. And the magnet will fall out. If it’s mineral based glue it will have to be gently scraped, like with mini palate knife, from the inside of the head.

How do you get factory made eyebrows off I have a doll that I want to take off the eyebrows please help
I use a product called Windsor And Newton Brush Cleaner to strip the paint off of my kits who needs stripped.
@@enchantedkreaturekitsencha9919 do you think if I use that on just the eye brows it will strip that area back to white color of the kit?

(no hate) but someone worked hard on that, its like destroying someone else's artwork, even if you're making it better.
In a way yes. But it’s no different then repainting a piece of furniture if it starts to age and look ugly. Or up cycling to get a longer life out of something. Vinyl should not be thrown away unless it is an illegally copied kit. It takes hundreds of years to break down and decompose. So instead of having a yucky baby that I wouldn’t want on display, I gave her a fresh new life so she can go on making others happy.

Why not just buy another kit its gotta be easier then all this work, its only 35 dollars
Kayla Austin that is true it is a million times easier to just buy a new one. But this was a used baby that I had on hand that I could use for the purpose of making these tutorials. I normally wouldn’t bother doing this with any open stock kits that could be easily purchased again.
I bet who ever rooted this baby if they remember doing her I bet their so upset 😡 while watching you destroy her work. Just saying.
