This video covers the process of removing the paint of a reborn.
I’ll share the correct products to use to strip the paint and get it ready to start over.
Wow that was a hard day's work! So much tedious work can go into the reborning process... (would drive me nuts). That's why I prefer to buy finished dolls from doll artists instead of making my own. I very much appreciate all the work and love that goes into bringing these doll babies to life.
Sarah might very well be the most conscientious of all Reborn Doll Artists on planet earth today!

I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old grand daughters and i'm trying to collect a couple dolls so we can play baby dolls together.
I bought my very first reborn, Aspen awake from someone who did a very poor job of painting it, so I'm taking it apart and trying to 'fix it up'!
I'm hoping my artist skills will help me to make him sweet again.

Think I'll replace them with little glass beads... and I like your idea of putting them in loose.

I use achcol, toothpicks and cotton swabs and toothbrush to remove paint ,,,eyeglasses 😊

That was very interesting. I have seen it done with acetone before but never with that. It came off really good. It’s good to know, thank you for sharing ❤️
Arlene Chardon many years ago I used to use acetone. It really damages the vinyl and makes it hard to repaint. So after I discovered this stuff I threw the acetone out of my work room.
...I haven't seen the finished video of Lexi yet but I bet she'll be GORGEOUS! Somebody will be super lucky to win her - crazy old doll collector that I am, I wish it were me (lol).

I have the Mona Lisa brand of this stuff & it does NOT take off any GHSP, no matter how hard I scrub. Is Winsor & Newton different than Mona?
Can you retouch over the top of paint without stripping, even if it’s sealed? Love your technique 😃
Yes you can. However do not mix air dry paint with heat set paint. Bad chemical reactions happen and it turns it to a stick lip gloss like consistency. Not sure if it’s all air dry paints that do this or the one kind I had the misfortune of trying it with.
I use q tips for the creases when stripping them. Way easier

That would help me so much, I have a reborndoll allready painted, varnished and baked,
but I do not like the painting anymore, so I would like to reborn the doll.

Did she have any glue inside? My baby girl has a head full of glue inside. Help
Wish I would’ve known this before using acetone and it did not strip nicely. Is there something I can do before I try to repaint the kit.

how did you removed the eyelaches?
Can you use Isopropyl Alcohol?
It will take a little off. But I’ve never been able to get everything off with it.
