This video just felt like Harry low key showing up Jake on every trick! Haha! For someone who hasn't skated aggressive in a long time he's still got all the control!
Really dig these long form videos. You two have been holding it down for so long, thank you both for everything you’ve done for skating. Just bought my Ridder shells. Looking forward to the Mesmer deep dive, recently saw one of the am riders skating them and they look even better than expected in person

True Sav, Back Sav call it whatever you want. I would say back sav or true back sav. Great review as well, the format is spot on. Really tempted to buy these skates.
Thanks for the awesome video guys. I'm interested to know how the Them Liners in the black 909 compare to the Intuition liners in this video. Please let me know your thoughts.
How you casually turn up and crush every trick in the game is next level. I’d still be warming on frontsides 😂 Great review. Really enjoyed it. Fighting the urge to not get a pair of these beauties 😍
They sound really solid on the roll and the landings. I’m used to Salomons too but we’re talking years ago. I bought some sl1’s and ground control fl2’s about 5 years ago and I can’t stand the tappiness and the sound when they land. Have fl3’s really improved over the fl2’s? Maybe I need some softer wheels too?
It is the antirockers vibrating against the metal sleeve inside. I put electric tape around the metal sleeve jammed it in the antirockers then tightened it to where they don't move.
Great review. I really want some THEMs but I do not possess the cash :( I’ll get some at some point next year, they’ll probably have about 6 new models out by then
Biggest takeaway from this review for me is that I effed up big time by getting the Braindead 909s instead of just waiting a month and spending a little extra for the improved Pat Ridder model.
as far as i can tell the only real difference besides the intuition liner is the new soulplate which isn't too big a change it seems but im sure they'll sell that separately later on for not too much no worries no worries, braindead skate looks fresh as hell
Both my negative side of soul plates had a little chunk out of them. Not sure what it was from but doesn't really bother me as they going to get marked anyway. But really pleased with the skate so far. Hopefully get a shot later today.

I have the 908s and I am struggling really hard learning to do royales due to not being able to bend my feet enough. A friend told me it may be the skate being too stiff at the cuff. But I really love the 908s. Are the 909s easier to bend? Is it worth going from 908 to 909?

Jake, like yourself if you were not using the extra intuition insouls are they big enough to be used as shock sheets? Referring to the Muzzle style ones that get located between the soul plate and boot.
@@harry_abel that's what I said Harry 👍. My question was > those spare intuition insouls, can these be used as a shock sheet between the soul and boot. Or are they too small.
@@harry_abel why not bring those back - i hope muzzle would!? I tried that with a yoga mat and it worked okay - sounds and feels good, even those were a few mm thicker as the muzzles
Do you guys think a UK 7-7.5 Ridder liner would fit inside the standard size small 909? I have the chance to buy the ridder liner separately in a 7-7.5 but not sure it will fit inside my UK 6-7 909 shell
I’m curious if you felt a lot of lift in the heel between the liner and the shell? I’ve never had a skate that I felt so much play in before the only way I’ve found around it is to absolutely crank down on the top two lace holes in the shell
My liner also lifts in the heel, size medium with non-intuition stock liner. I added three of layers of Velcro in the back of the heel and that helped a lot tho
@@thewise_1one856 I have the extra intuition insole that came with the skate in between the shell and liner now, I have not tried the lace method though
