In this clip, B-Real talked about the making of "Insane in the Brain" and the track being one of Cypress Hill's biggest hits. Vlad revealed that he was in the music video for "Insane in the Brain" and told B-Real how he managed it by using a friend's ID.
B-Real later explained how "Insane in the Brain" was a subtle diss track aimed at Chubb Rock and Kid Frost. - Розваги
Chubb Rock definitely deserves more mention. A forgotten, great MC
Chubb Rock was Wack. He is lucky Ice Cube did not go in on him for trying to diss him.
Vlad looking like he's there to pick up his kids in that photo
I’m a fan of both Cypress Hill and Kid Frost and NEVER would’ve guessed Insane in the Brain was a diss!! Oh well!!!
Vlad looking like Carlito Brigantes(Carlito's Way)lawyer David Kleinfeld😂😂.
🤣🤣🤣
Sean pen sir? 🤣🤣🤣
I had no idea Insane in the brain was a Chubb Rock and Kid Frost dis. That went over my head.
@** I take it Sen Dog and him had some beef, but B Real didn't get into the origins. I gotta look up if there is any info about it online.
@** none of the Latino rappers got along back then....Cypress, Frost, Lighter Shade of Brown...all were threatened by each others success unfortunately lol
@Brandon Thom yea too much hating on each other in their primes. Frost and Mellow Man are still tight, I follow them on Instagram. I think they're working on a new Latin Alliance joint
@M N not sure about cancer but he's a diabetic and has heart problems and had open heart surgery last year or something. Also admitted he had a serious drug problem for a long time...
Frisbee 👀
Never knew Chubb Rock and Cypress Hill had beef. I didn't think Chubb's line was a diss, but more of a shout out.
I saw Chubb Rock in concert last year. Yeah, the big man still got it.
I had "I Gotta Get Mine Yo!" by Chubb Rock and I didn't think that that line in his verse from "YabbaDabbaDo" was diss against Cypress Hill either.
I knew it was a Chubb Rock diss because my cousins told me. Didn’t know it was Kid Frost until a year later when my other cousin, who knew Frost told me.
@@bigmetroidfan1263 ..That whole album was a diss.. Mockery.
That made me smile. To that flamboyant one I'll toss that ham in the fryin pan. That's a good line
Damn that was slick
“Kids don’t need to hear all that on a rap”
- Chubb Rock
“My lips will never touch the circumference of a spliff”.-Chubb rock back to da grill
those lines are not disses
That was a NWA and 2 Live Crew diss
"Treat 'Em Right" came out way before Cypress made their debut.
It's gotta really hurt to get dissed on a track, and then that song becomes a worldwide hit. You'll be hearing it for the rest of your life. As opposed to getting dissed on a mixtape track.
Should ask B Real about the Boo Yaa Tribe
And Funkdoobiest.
i saw Boo Yaa live early 90s...it was incrible, live set up, bass pure funk
MultiMrMiles we need a doco on Boo yaa be dope AF
Damn Vlad, you didn't know about Cypress and Kid Frost beefing and when B mentioned it you didn't even ask why Sen and Frost were beefing. Bad journalism there.
I don't care what y'all say Vlad definitely LIVING HIS DREAM and meeting people he always wanted to
Much respect I hope we all can ✊🏿💪🏿
he was the DJ on Rap City the Basement with Big Tiger on BET in 2002
Fuck that culture vulture small hat
My dad was friends with Renees's dad. I remember going to the pad in Banning as a child with Renee spinning and Frost rapping in the garage. This would have been around 90-92. That was the first time i had seen scratching or dj-ing and it blew me away. I wish i kept going around. They are a big reason why I jumped into music. Maybe our paths will cross again someday.
All great Artist Legends
I hope Chubb Rock and Frost are doing well, haven't heard anything on them in a minute.
chubb was doing radio here in ny for a bit
More like 3 decades
Vlad was just Glad to be surrounded by dudes on all sides...
Vlad you need to also interview Deliquent Habits and N2Deep and after Baby Bash explained the situation that you did not know the complete details should also visit SPM and interview him, I can guarantee you interviewing SPM would be one of your most watch interviews
Vlad would have to entice SPM with the promise to bring two 9 year old girls to the interview. That disgusting raping pedophile is a disgrace and guarantee nobody but eses would watch it.
Cypress Hill's first album is one of the greatest albums ever put together...the beats were fuckn insane but I feel they never lived up to that album...even tho they went on to be succeful nothing compared to that first album
I never heard any of there albums except the singles they dropped on mtv and Bet.
Nah that third album was better then the first to me.
What?!?!?! Temples of Boom is by far their greatest record!
To the one on the flam-boyant tip, I'll toss that ham in a frying pan.
Man, I love to learn these little sharp corners of hip hop history. Listening to that album for 30 years now, and I just learned today what that lyric was about lol. Life is weird.
Don't fuk with Cypress Hill. ....... One of the few classic rap groups of all time who deserve to be in the top 10
Sen Dog said "Frost" during the Saturday Nighy Live Performance.
I do remember another song other than "Yabba-Dabba-Doo", where Chubbs did a parody of Cypress Hill, plugging his nose to mock B-Real's voice. He also wasn't crazy about the pushing of weed, either.
so cool we ran in the same circles coming up...
i did a gig at the DNA just before everything closed due to covid. I don't think its coming back. good thing we have this clip
So weird, I never saw that Chubb Rock line as a dis. It always seemed like a tribute to Cypress to me. Now Vlad needs to interview The Chubbster!!
This is what we've all been waiting for...
Glad lookin for a way to be in hip hop history again
B Real: You've got a good memory
Vlad: Gets the name of the song wrong
The Chubbster wooord up!
I remember when Chubb threw that slight at Cypress
Good hip hop story
wooooooow!!!
I thought toss that ham on the pan was referenced to Frost lol 😆
I knew about Chubb Rock, didn't know about Kid Frost
I heard vlad is the new TK kirkland
Glad looked like a beach boy in that pic 😅😅😅
lol
For Brooklyn representation...Chubb Rock was the foreplay Biggie Smalls was the climax.
Dj Lord is my cousin , and I've hung out with B Real a few times super cool dude !
Vlad getting his TK Kirkland on lol
Back in those days if someone took a phrase or a half of a bar without getting your blessing it was considered disrespectful...especially if they slightly changed the words.
I Fuck Wit Chubb Rock
DJ Glad
Man how does vlad tv does not get Kid Frost in an interview !
Damn my dumbass thought he said "Flamboyant temper" cuz genius lyrics said that lmao
Los Meros is Album of the Year 2020
I never knew that
What were tha lines for kid frost and chubb rock??
I don't know about Kid Frost's beef (even though I have read about it in The Source way back when), but Chubbs did two songs getting at Cypress. The first was a few lines in "Yabba Dabba Doo", and another song where he plugs his nose to parody B-Real-s voice. Plus Chubbs never cared for the whole weed shit they pushed.
Didn’t know this, but that’s why you need to call someone out directly instead of on the sneak tip. I think chubb would have responded and probably ate cypress hill for lunch.
Glad sure love's to brag-!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vlad was a South Park ginger. Lol
You should ask about the Dj Quik Camp vs Soul Assassins Camp....
Beef and diss songs...
-With your
Bitch hair styles... I'll cut you like decan...
-Cock the Hammer.
Quiks diss was..
-Cant fuck with a Nigga.
Off Menace 2 Society soundtrack.
They went hard on Everlast... And B real.
I kicked you in your ass... That's why you jump around...
I didnt know Vlad was 50 years old
I knew it was off of Yabadadoo joint
So how much did Youngbloods get from Cypress Hill sampling theit song at the end? Discuss that, Glad.
😂 Even though the pic is from the side you can tell Vlad had a full uni-brow back then. Looking like a caveman who codes
Title description VLAD was in the video!!who cares!!its funny how he talks in 3rd person
Nigga Vlad look 70 in that photo
I remember... It was a homage B real, it wasn't a diss
with disses like that i see why wsc won the battle
Damn! I feel like the son of Sam.
Why did vlad use his friend's id if he was 18?
Yeaaah... I don't know.
Seems a little sensitive.
I would have asked Chubb what the deal...
Respect to all mentioned though, all heavy hitters...
😯
How u beef with Chubb Rock? Lmao. Chubb is a underrated MC...salute to Cypress Hill tho!
BC WHEN UR NOT UP 2 PAR THE AVG DIS SEEMS DIRECTED AT U...EVEN WHEN ITS NOT
He shouldn’t talk shit and he wouldn’t of got dissed that’s how that works, especially if it’s from somebody you considered a friend.
Vlad lookes old back then. Tf
💊👽💉
Chubb Rock would have smoked Cypress Hill! They got lucky!
They got some classic albums but Cube murdered them on king of the hill
Like Spammmmm
Kid frost logro algo que cypress nunca pudo y es ser parte de Ruthless records y lo firmo el mismisimo padre del gangsta rap Easy- E
Vlad looked 40 and 18 at the same time
Lmao
🤣🤣
Lmao that’s fuckn funny!
I can't stand you right now lol 😂😂😂😂😱

When Vlad Was A Rookie Still Plain Clothes Vlad

"Plain cloths Vlad", thats hilarious lol

Hes previously stated he dressed appropriate per his money situation. When ge got more $, he got gucci, lol.
Virgin Vlad Jumping About
Did not know about it was a diss to Chubb Rock and Kid Frost. Learn something new every day.
Dee Brown tru
I never knew that either
Chubb Rock verse in Crooklyn Dodgers 95 was FIRE!!!
Abso-fucking-lutely. So many jewels. His album The One is a slept on classic. His lyricism was insane in 1990.
Chubb Rock is that NIGGA!
Chubb Rock was a lyrical genius.
Chubb was the biggie blueprint
Lmao you're showing your age for sure
Chubb Rock and Cypress had beef? Learn somethin new everyday...
Right I'm like who beefs with Chubb?!?!?
Real heads been knew about it 💯
Nobody knew
@@jordanlummis9313 I didn't put me on what other songs they threw at each other and what sparked it?
@@elahosun2101 uh....did you watch this fuckin video? Lol B Real literally says this information
Funny how rappers back then didn't know for sure if they were being dissed but hit back anyway just to be sure. It happened a lot lol
That's hip hop.
Haha yeah
💯
Rap emcees then had code of being dope & artistic on every level, even dissing another emcee. Blatant name-calling often showed a lack of skill and too much emotion in the battle very often during those higher standard eras of rap. Cypress Hill, Chubb Rock, BDP, Shan, LL, etc. used a bit more imagination back then most times.
& Kid Frost made his diss more direct. Nothing subliminal about it.
Cypress Hill doing Insane in the Brain at Woodstock 94 was legendary
Hell Yeah! One of the best acts of that Woodstock
There was a Woodstock in '94?! I thought those things were every 10 years.
@@number3stunner118 94 Woodstock was supposedly super ill I was only 10 so I damn sure wasn't there
Yes, it definitely was... I was there, it was insane..
I was not at '99 tho, thankfully...
Vlad should have really asked about the Sen Dog/Kid Frost beef
I remember Frost and LSOB had a video playing on the box (video jukebox) dissing Cypress Hill. It’s a shame I can’t find it on UA-cam.
@@illstateofmind do you remember the name of the song? Do you remember soul assassins? I can't find music of them on here either
@@illstateofmind lol damn jukebox wow I remember that
Ride Slow Homie unfortunately, I can’t remember anything other than the obvious diss to Cypress
I think the Sen Dog/Frost beef had to do with an incident between Mellow and Frost. Sen was backing up his hermano.
Vlad lookin like Yakov Smirnoff in that screenshot.
You said Yakov Smirnoff..........🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Damn, what a reference!! What the hell happened to THAT dude?!?! Lol lol

Straight up, Biggie straight bit his style. Idk why this never gets pointed out, it's so obvious.

Kid Frost EastSide Story is one of the great hiphop albums of all time
It was Frosts best album but not of hip hops all time.
only got 3 or 4 good tracks on it 😂 gtfoh
Kid Frost's first album Hispanic Causing Panic is one of the worse hip hop albums of all time.

EvilAss EastSide sen dog spit that verse
Nick Legos I know that I’m asking what’s the line Chubb rock said to inspire that line from him lol

Good one
Doesn’t Sen Dog say, “My shit's fat, like a sumo, slamming dat ass
Leavin your face in the grass
'Cause you know, I don't take Arturo (aka Kid Frost), lightly
Punks just jealous 'cause they can't outwrite me”. He says his name in the song! 🤣
Black Sunday is Cypress Hill's best album no doubt. It's an Immaculate album front to back, one of the greats in hip Hop.
I prefer Temple of Boom
First one is the best for me. Then probably Temple of Boom. Black Sunday was too mainstream for me. But it was still a great album
@@llllllllll1652 thats an amazing album as well as the first album, but Black Sunday is a masterpiece
The first four were their better works.

Vlad u should interview KID FROST,
Props to vlad for being in the video!
